I have a txt file containing: InstallPrompt= DisplayLicense= FinishMessage= TargetName=D:\somewhere FriendlyName=something I have a python script that in the end, should change just two lines to: TargetName=D:\new FriendlyName=Big Could anyone help me, please? I have tried to search for it, but I didnt find something I could use. The text that should be replaced could have different length.

    I'd like to censor some words in a string by replacing each character in the word with a "*". Basically I would want to do String s = "lorem ipsum dolor sit"; s = s.replaceAll("ipsum|sit", $0.length() number of *)); so that the resulting s equals "lorem ***** dolor ***". I know how to do this with repeated replaceAll invokations, but I'm wondering, is this possible to do with a single replaceAll?

  • Jquery - Dialogue not displaying correctly on IE6

    I am trying to use bgiform but it seems to have no effect. The text in IE is pushed off of the screen of the dialogue box when its displayed. It works fine in FF.     Let's say I have the following HTML code <div id="outer"> <div id="inner">Hello World</div> </div> At the end of my HTML page, I use javascript to attach event handlers like so, document.getElementById('inner').onclick = function() {alert(this.innerHTML);} document.getElementById('outer').onclick = function() { /* An Ajax Call where the response, which will be a string of HTML content, then goes into document.getElementById('outer').innerHTML */ document.getElementById('inner').onclick = function() {alert(this.innerHTML);} } In the above code, I am expecting <div id="inner">Hello World 2</div> to come back which requires me to re-attach the onclick event handler. This makes sense because the new response coming back is just a string, and I have to tell the browser that after converting to DOM, i also need some event handlers So my question is, is there a better way to manage event handlers on AJAX response that contains HTML content? I could use inline javascript within the html response, but then it prevents me from achieving non-intrusive javascript. So is there a way to achieve non-intrusive javascript and an efficient way to "maintain" event handlers of ajax html responses?

    We have a series of internal reports that we update regularly from our internal databases. We built an application in C# that uploads these reports to a Google Site. Everything works fine, except that the name of the file shown to the final user in the File Cabinet does not include the original spaces nor the extension separator (.)     I'm trying to use a regex like /[computer]{3,8}/ to get any words containing only the letters in computer ranging from 3 to 8 letters long. That regex instead captures all words containing ANY of the letters in [computer]. I've been looking at regular expression examples, but i can't quite figure it out... How do i modifiy this regular expression to capture words containing ONLY the letters in computer (with a length of 3 to 8)?

  • Making IE "forget" information entered in form when using back button.

    I have a page with a form where many of the fields are populated from variables passed in the URL. Those fields are disabled (NON-EDITABLE) and are only there for the user to view. The remaining fields require user input and are NOT disabled (EDITABLE). When the form is submitted a confirmation page comes up. It may be the case that the user needs to submit several of these forms where the NON-EDITABLE information is identical from form to form, so being able to go back to the form page from the confirmation page would save a lot of time. The way I want this to work is when a user presses the back button all the NON-EDITABLE fields are populated, but the EDITABLE fields are blank. This is what Firefox is doing, but IE8 is does not "forget" what has been entered in the EDITABLE fields. To disable the cache the following appears at the beginning of my page AND at the end of my page. <head> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"/> <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-store"/> <head/> What more must I do to make IE forget what was entered in the EDITABLE fields when the back button is pressed? All of my pages are generated with PHP if that matters. EDIT: It appears to me that this is a problem of IE caching my page even though I have told it not to. Are my meta tags correct? Do I need to do something else to prevent IE from caching my page?

    So I'm making a gallery of fabrics and backgrounds for letters for a fraternity/sorority store in my college's town. If you don't know what I'm talking about, this is a fabric letter. You can see how it has a white outline (background) and a red inside (foreground). WELL, I want to make it so you can change both the foreground and background, simply by clicking it's similar image. Is there anyway I can add a layer below it, but still make it show at the top of the page? I know I'll have to use photoshop and transparency for both options, thats no problem, but I wanted to make sure I can do this before I start creating 600+ images. I know I can play with z-index and css, but since I'm using wordpress the one example I read about here wasn't working or I didn't completely understand it, and messed up my entire page.   • Where is a small, simple CMS that has no Front End done in PHP?

    The keys are: small and simple PHP MySql no Front End By "no front end" I mean literally, I can control the look 100%. I just want a CMS on the "backend" to manage content (user login/security, upload images, udate articles, etc.) that will not dictate in anyway how the managed data is presented. Maybe it just keeps the info in a (MySql) database (which I can query and extract myself) or if it writes content, it is in super-clean xhtml fragments or even just xml I will parse myself? I have looked at Wordpress -- and don't like the code it generates, not to mention the sites look too "canned" (you can usually spot a WP site a mile a way.) Joomla and Drupal look more customizable, but they are bloated now in my opinion, and really I just want something lightweight and simple. For one-user mom-and-pop sites. (No tiered publishing/approval systems, and all that.) I envision plugging this CMS into existing websites/web apps where most of the site is made and managed by me, but a few choice areas are managed by the site owner.

(Obviously a built-in isn't going to save me any time while working in the shell, nor do i suspect there's any difference in accuracy; for scripts i try to use built-ins as often as possible, where the (cumulative) performance gain is often noticeable. They are only comfortable with managing html so all my app content will be contained in iframes.
