  • JavaScript: Very strange behavior with assigning methods in a loop

    - by Andrey
    Consider this code below: <a href="javascript:void(-1)" id="a1">a1</a> <a href="javascript:void(-1)" id="a2">a2</a> <script type="text/javascript"> var buttons = [] buttons.push("a1") buttons.push("a2") var actions = [] for (var i in buttons) { actions[buttons[i]] = function() { alert(i) } } var elements = document.getElementsByTagName("a") for (var k = 0; k < elements.length; k++) { elements[k].onclick = actions[elements[k].id] } </script> Basically, it shows two anchors, a1 and a2, and I expect to see "1" and "2" popping up in an alert when clicking on corresponding anchor. It doesn't happen, I get "2" when clicking on either. After spending an hour meditating on the code, I decided that it probably happens because dynamic onclick methods for both anchors keep the last value of "i". So I change that loop to for (var i in buttons) { var local_i = i.toString() actions[buttons[i]] = function() { alert(local_i) } } hoping that each dynamic function will get its own copy of "i" with immediate value. But after this change I get "1" popping up when I click on either link. What am I doing wrong? It's a huge show stopper for me.

  • Have to click twice to submit the form

    - by phil
    Intended function: require user to select an option from the drop down menu. After user clicks submit button, validate if an option is selected. Display error message and not submit the form if user fails to select. Otherwise submit the form. Problem: After select an option, button has to be clicked twice to submit the form. I have no clue at all.. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <script src="jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <style> p{display: none;} </style> </head> <script> $(function(){ // language as an array var language=['Arabic','Cantonese','Chinese','English','French','German','Greek','Hebrew','Hindi','Italian','Japanese','Korean','Malay','Polish','Portuguese','Russian','Spanish','Thai','Turkish','Urdu','Vietnamese']; $('#muyu').append('<option value=0>Select</option>'); //loop through array for (i in language) //js unique statement for iterate array { $('#muyu').append($('<option>',{id:'muyu'+i,val:language[i], html:language[i]})) } $('form').submit(function(){ alert('I am being called!'); // check if submit event is triggered if ( $('#muyu').val()==0 ) {$('#muyu_error').show(); } else {$('#muyu_error').hide(); return true;} return false; }) }) </script> <form method="post" action="match.php"> I am fluent in <select name='muyu' id='muyu'></select> <p id='muyu_error'>Tell us your native language</p> <input type="submit" value="Go"> </form>

  • C callback functions defined in an unnamed namespace?

    - by Johannes Schaub - litb
    Hi all. I have a C++ project that uses a C bison parser. The C parser uses a struct of function pointers to call functions that create proper AST nodes when productions are reduced by bison: typedef void Node; struct Actions { Node *(*newIntLit)(int val); Node *(*newAsgnExpr)(Node *left, Node *right); /* ... */ }; Now, in the C++ part of the project, i fill those pointers class AstNode { /* ... */ }; class IntLit : public AstNode { /* ... */ }; extern "C" { Node *newIntLit(int val) { return (Node*)new IntLit(val); } /* ... */ } Actions createActions() { Actions a; a.newIntLit = &newIntLit; /* ... */ return a; } Now the only reason i put them within extern "C" is because i want them to have C calling conventions. But optimally, i would like their names still be mangled. They are never called by-name from C code, so name mangling isn't an issue. Having them mangled will avoid name conflicts, since some actions are called like error, and the C++ callback function has ugly names like the following just to avoid name clashes with other modules. extern "C" { void uglyNameError(char const *str) { /* ... */ } /* ... */ } a.error = &uglyNameError; I wondered whether it could be possible by merely giving the function type C linkage extern "C" void fty(char const *str); namespace { fty error; /* Declared! But i can i define it with that type!? */ } Any ideas? I'm looking for Standard-C++ solutions.

  • Problem with jQuery slider - time

    - by Dawid
    Hello. I'd like to make a slider to choose time(from 1:00 to 4:00) but it doesn't work. It doesn't communicate with 'select'. Can anyone help me? <script> $(function() { var select = $( "#czastrwania" ); var slider = $( "<div id='slider'></div>" ).insertAfter( select ).slider({ min: 60, max: 240, step: 30, range: "min", value: select[ 0 ].selectedIndex + 1, slide: function( e, ui ) { var hours = Math.floor(ui.value / 60); var minutes = ui.value - (hours * 60); if(hours.length == 1) hours = '0' + hours; if(minutes.length == 1) minutes = '0' + minutes; select[ 0 ].selectedIndex = ui.value - 1; } }); $( "#czastrwania" ).change(function() { slider.slider( "value", this.selectedIndex + 1 ); }); }); </script> <select id="czastrwania" name="czastrwania"> <option value="1:00">1:00</option> <option value="1:30">1:30</option> <option value="2:00">2:00</option> <option value="2:30">2:30</option> <option value="3:00">3:00</option> <option value="3:30">3:30</option> <option value="4:00">4:00</option> </select>

  • Disabling repeating keyboard down event in as3

    - by psy-sci
    now I'm trying to make the keyboard events to stop repeating. My idea was to have a true and false condition for when the key is pressed so that it wont repeat if the key is down already. //Mouse Event Over keyCButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, function(){gotoAndStop(2)}); //Variable var Qkey:uint = 81; //Key Down Event stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keydown); var soundplayed = false; function keydown(event:KeyboardEvent){ if (event.keyCode==Qkey) { this.soundplayed=true;} } if (this.soundplayed==false){ gotoAndPlay(3); } else {} //Key Up Event stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP, keyup); function keyup(event:KeyboardEvent){ if (event.keyCode==Qkey) { this.soundplayed=true; gotoAndStop(1); } } doing this just turns off the key event I think i need to add a "&& keyDown..." to "if (this.soundplayed==true)" but i dont know how to do it without getting errors here is the keyboard player i'm trying to fix http://soulseekrecords.org/psysci/animation/piano.html

  • Javascript Closures, Callbacks, This and That

    - by nazbot
    I am having some trouble getting a callback function to work. Here is my code: SomeObject.prototype.refreshData = function() { var read_obj = new SomeAjaxCall("read_some_data", { }, this.readSuccess, this.readFail); } SomeObject.prototype.readSuccess = function(response) { this.data = response; this.someList = []; for (var i = 0; i < this.data.length; i++) { var systemData = this.data[i]; var system = new SomeSystem(systemData); this.someList.push(system); } this.refreshList(); } Basically SomeAjaxCall is making an ajax request for data. If it works we use the callback 'this.readSuccess' and if it fails 'this.readFail'. I have figured out that 'this' in the SomeObject.readSuccess is the global this (aka the window object) because my callbacks are being called as functions and not member methods. My understanding is that I need to use closures to keep the 'this' around, however, I have not been able to get this to work. If someone is able show me what I should be doing I would appreciate it greatly. I am still wrapping my head around how closures work and specifically how they would work in this situation. Thanks!

  • JavaScript onClick() Display

    - by junaidkaps
    I have an array consisting of several objects containing Strings. I am successfully able to display the array by using: <td><p onclick="theMiddle(this)">The Middle</td> As you see from the td tag this is part of a table. Issue is that the browser opens up a new page to display my text. I have been trying to display the array above my table in a p tag. //JavaScript var arrayTheMiddle = new Array (showName.theMiddle, beginingTime.theMiddle, network.abc, duration.thirty, rating.general, description.theMiddle, showImage.theMiddle); function theMiddle(obj){ for(i=0; i < arrayTheMiddle.length; i++) { document.write(arrayTheMiddle[i] + "<br>"); } } //HTML File <p>Would like the array/function displayed here while the user clicks within the table below (entire table has not been listed)</p> <td><p onclick="theMiddle(this)">The Middle</td> Unfortunately I am constantly failing at utilizing get element by id to call my function which consists of an array. I have searched for all sorts of stuff, yet frankly I'm lost. Not even sure if my approach is correct at this point. I'm sure this is one of those simple things that are blowing over my head!

  • google maps call within a For Loop not returning distance

    - by Richard Reddy
    Hi, I am calling google maps within a for loop in my javascript as I have mulitple routes that need to be costed separately based on distances. Everything works great except that the distance is only returned for one of the routes. I have a feeling that it is something to do with the way I have the items declared within the ajax call for the maps. Any ideas what could be the issue from the code below? for (var i = 1; i <= numJourneys; i++) { var mapContainer = 'directionsMap' + i; var directionContainer = $('#getDistance' + i); $.ajax({ async: false, type: "POST", url: "Journey/LoadWayPoints", data: "{'args': '" + i + "'}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { if (msg.d != '[]') { var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById(mapContainer)); var distance = directionContainer; var wp = new Array(); //routes var counter = 0; $.each(content, function () { wp[counter] = new GLatLng(this['Lat'], this['Long']); counter = counter + 1; }); map.clearOverlays(); map.setCenter(wp[0], 14); // load directions directions = new GDirections(map); GEvent.addListener(directions, "load", function () { alert(directions.getDistance()); //directionContainer.html(directions.getDistance().html); }); directions.loadFromWaypoints(wp, { getSteps: true }); } } }); }

  • Core jQuery event modification problem

    - by DSKVR
    I am attempting to overwrite a core jQuery event, in this case the keydown event. My intention is to preventDefault() functionality of Left(37), Up(38), Right(39) and Down(40) to maintain the consistency of hot keys in my web application. I am using the solution provided here for the conditional charCode preventDefault problem. For some reason, my function overwrite is simply not firing, and I cannot put my finger on the problem. I am afraid that over the past 30 minutes this issue has resulted in some hair loss. Anybody have the remedy? /* Modify Keydown Event to prevent default PageDown and PageUp functionality */ (function(){ var charCodes = new Array(37,38,39,40); var original = jQuery.fn.keydown; jQuery.fn.keydown = function(e){ var key=e.charCode ? e.charCode : e.keyCode ? e.keyCode : 0; alert('now why is my keydown mod not firing?'); if($.inArray(key,charCodes)) { alert('is one of them, do not scroll page'); e.preventDefault(); return false; } original.apply( this, arguments ); } })();

  • Uploading multiple files asynchronously by blueimp jquery-fileupload

    - by Ryo
    I'm using jQuery File Upload library (http://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload), and I've been stuck figuring out how to use the library satisfying the following conditions. The page has multiple file input fields surrounded by a form tag. Users can attach multiple files to each input field All files are sent to a server when the button is clicked, not when files are attached to the input fields. Upload is done asynchronously Say the page has 3 input fields with their name attributes being "file1[]", "file2[]" and "file3[]", the request payload should be like {file1: [ array of files on file1[] ], file2: [ array of files on file2[] ], ...} Here's jsFiddle, it's behaving weird so far in that it sends post request twice and the first one is cancelled. http://jsfiddle.net/BAQtG/24/ The core part of js code looks like this. $(document).ready(function(){ var filesList = [] var elem = $("form") file_upload = elem.fileupload({ formData:{extra:1}, autoUpload: false, fileInput: $("input:file"), }).on("fileuploadadd", function(e, data){ filesList.push(data.files[0]) }); $("button").click(function(){ file_upload.fileupload('send', {files:filesList} ) }) }) Anybody have idea how to get this to work? Updates Now thanks to @CBroe 's comment, the issue that request is sent twice is fixed. However the keys of request parameter is not correctly set. Here's updated jsFiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/BAQtG/27/

  • Jquery number of clicks record

    - by Maxime
    Hi, I am working on this page where I'm using a Jquery Mp3 Player (Jplayer) with its playlist. What I want to do is very simple in theory: I want to record the number of clicks for every playlist element. When someone enters the page, his number of clicks are at 0 for every element. The visitor can click a few times on element #1, then go to element #2 (which will be at 0), then come back to element #1 and the number of clicks must be saved. We don't need to save it for next visits. Jplayer has this function that loads each time a new playlist element is being loaded: function playListChange( index ) In which every element has its own ID dynamically updated: myPlayList[index].song_id Here's my code: function playListChange( index ) { var id = myPlayList[index].song_id; if(!o) { var o = {}; } if(!o[id]) { o[id] = 0; } alert(o[id]); … $("#mydiv").click { o[id] = o[id]+1; } … But o[id] is reset every time and the alert always show 0. Why? Thanks for any reply.

  • force refresh of part of page in browser

    - by Jeremy
    I have the following html: <ul class="scr"> <li class="scr"> <input type="checkbox" class="chkscr"/> <h3>Item Name</h3> <div class="scr">Contents</div> </li> .... </ul> And the following jQuery: //Set initial state of each scr section $('.chkscr input, input.chkscr').each(function() { chkSCR_Click($(this)); }); //Setup click event $('.chkscr input, input.chkscr').click(function() { chkSCR_Click($(this)); }); //Toggle corresponding scr section for the checkbox function chkSCR_Click(ctl) { if (ctl.attr('checked')) { ctl.parents('li.scr').find('div.scr').stop().show(); } else { ctl.parents('li.scr').find('div.scr').stop().hide(); } } My issue is that when I toggle the last li element to display, the h3 element contents disapear, until I click somewhere else on the page, or scroll the page up and down to cause the browse to repaint that portion of the window. I don't get this behavior in Opera for example, and even in IE the behavior only happens on the last li element, so I'm pretty sure it's an IE quirk and not my code. Is there any workaround I can do through jquery/javascript to force it to repaint the h3 element?

  • Flex 4 Button state in a HGroup

    - by chchrist
    Hi all, I have a HGroup with some buttons inside which is my application's menu. <s:HGroup id="nav"> <s:Button id="homeButton" label="Home" /> <s:Button id="showroomButton" label="Showroom" /> <s:Button label="Catalogue" /> <s:Button label="Offers" /> <s:Button label="My Account" /> <s:Button label="My Orders" /> </s:HGroup> What I want is when I click for example the #homeButton to change it's state to "over", become disabled and reset all other buttons to the "up" state. I've written this function private function resetNavState():void { for(var i:int = 0,ii:int = nav.numChildren-1;i<ii;i++) { Button(nav.getChildAt(i)).mouseEnabled = true; Button(nav.getChildAt(i)).skin.setCurrentState("up",true); } } And then on the homeButton click handler for example i use protected function homeButton_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void { resetNavState(); currentState = "home"; homeButton.skin.setCurrentState("over",true); homeButton.mouseEnabled = false; } I resets the states of the #nav buttons but it doesn't change the state of the pressed button. Any ideas? Thanx in advance

  • How to improve multi-threaded access to Cache (custom implementation)

    - by Andy
    I have a custom Cache implementation, which allows to cache TCacheable<TKey> descendants using LRU (Least Recently Used) cache replacement algorithm. Every time an element is accessed, it is bubbled up to the top of the LRU queue using the following synchronized function: // a single instance is created to handle all TCacheable<T> elements public class Cache() { private object syncQueue = new object(); private void topQueue(TCacheable<T> el) { lock (syncQueue) if (newest != el) { if (el.elder != null) el.elder.newer = el.newer; if (el.newer != null) el.newer.elder = el.elder; if (oldest == el) oldest = el.newer; if (oldest == null) oldest = el; if (newest != null) newest.newer = el; el.newer = null; el.elder = newest; newest = el; } } } The bottleneck in this function is the lock() operator, which limits cache access to just one thread at a time. Question: Is it possible to get rid of lock(syncQueue) in this function while still preserving the queue integrity?

  • HREF link that targets nothing, does not want to use hash or void(0)

    - by Mattis
    I have a link that I want to be able to click to trigger a piece of jQuery code. Currently I have <a href="#" id="foo">Link</a> and $('#foo').click(function(){ // Do stuff }); which works well. But, I have always hated using hash in this way. The page flickers and the hash is added to the page url. One alternative is to use <a href="javascript:void(0);" id="foo">Link</a> but I also dislike seeing that piece of code in the browser status bar. It looks tacky. What I'd rather have is an explanatory javascript placeholder that does nothing, like <a href="javascript:zoom();" id="foo">Link</a> which actually works, but throws an ReferenceError in the javascript console since there are no such function. What's the minimum definition of a function that does nothing? Are there any other alternatives? Should I just skip the link and use something like <span id="foo" style="cursor:pointer;cursor:hand;">Link</span> instead?

  • CakePHP: Need help using saveField to update a fields in a belongsTo model

    - by afrisch
    I am trying to update a password into two different models/tables in CakePHP. I can update it fine in the parent model, but not the second model. Models: Users (hasOne GameProfile) PK=id Gameprofiles (belongsTo User) FK=user_id Here is a stripped down version of my function in the Users_controller.php: function updatepass() { if (!empty($this->data)) { $this->User->id = $this->Auth->user('id'); $this->User->saveField('sha1password', $this->Auth->password($this->data['User']['newpass'])); $this->User->Gameprofile->saveField('plainpassword', $this->data['User']['newpass']); } } When I execute the function, the users table is updated fine. But the gameprofile table is not updated, rather Cake does an insert. SQL Query Log: 1195 Query UPDATE `users` SET `sha1password` = 'e9443e9f5e1a07832aad1b2f84de1a666daf89b5' WHERE `users`.`id` = 30 1195 Query INSERT INTO `gameprofiles` (`plainpassword`) VALUES ('abc') Is there a way to get CakePHP to do an update using saveField on a model with a belongsTo attribute? I've tried various ways to refer to user_id before executing the second saveField, but just can't seem to find the winning combination. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Validate a XDocument against schema without the ValidationEventHandler (for use in a HTTP handler)

    - by Vaibhav Garg
    Hi everyone, (I am new to Schema validation) Regarding the following method, System.Xml.Schema.Extensions.Validate( ByVal source As System.Xml.Linq.XDocument, ByVal schemas As System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaSet, ByVal validationEventHandler As System.Xml.Schema.ValidationEventHandler, ByVal addSchemaInfo As Boolean) I am using it as follows inside a IHttpHandler - Try Dim xsd As XmlReader = XmlReader.Create(context.Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/MySchema.xsd")) Dim schemas As New XmlSchemaSet() : schemas.Add("myNameSpace", xsd) : xsd.Close() myXDoxumentOdj.Validate(schemas, Function(s As Object, e As ValidationEventArgs) SchemaError(s, e, context), True) Catch ex1 As Threading.ThreadAbortException 'manage schema error' Return Catch ex As Exception 'manage other errors' End Try The handler- Function SchemaError(ByVal s As Object, ByVal e As ValidationEventArgs, ByVal c As HttpContext) As Object If c Is Nothing Then c = HttpContext.Current If c IsNot Nothing Then HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(e.Message) HttpContext.Current.Response.End() End If Return New Object() End Function This is working fine for me at present but looks very weak. I do get errors when I feed it bad XML. But i want to implement it in a more elegant way. This looks like it would break for large XML etc. Is there some way to validate without the handler so that I get the document validated in one go and then deal with errors? To me it looks Async such that the call to Validate() would pass and some non deterministic time later the handler would get called with the result/errors. Is that right? Thanks and sorry for any goofy mistakes :).

  • Magento: Attribute always returns default value in catalog view, works fine in product view

    - by colinodell
    I've created a new Yes/No attribute for products. I've extended the Product model to do some custom logic and the custom functions are working everywhere. When I initially tried getting the custom attribute value, I ran into some issue. Magento wasn't loading it for me, so calls to $product-getMyAttributeName() did nothing. In the product views, I got it working with this additional function: public function getAttrVal($attr_name) { return $this->getResource()->getAttribute($attr_name)->getFrontend()->getValue($this); } So that worked great when viewing a product on the frontend. It would fetch the assigned value if set, or the default if not. When I view any Category (grid of all products in that category), the same exact code is being executed. But my getAttrVal() function always returns the default value, even if I've explicitly set this value for my product. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why the attribute loads correctly in the Product view but the Category view always grabs the default value, despite running the same exact code. Any thoughts?

  • Best suited tool to document message processing done in C written program

    - by user3494614
    I am relatively new to UML and it's seems to be very vast I have a small program which basically receives messages on socket and then depending upon message ID embedded as first byte of message it processes the buffer. There are around 5 different message ID which it processes and communicates on another socket and has around 8 major functions. So program in short is like this. I am not pasting entire .c file or main function but just giving some bits and pieces of it so that to get idea of program flow. int main(int argc, char** argv) { register_shared_mem(); listen(); while(get_next_message(buffer)) { switch((msg)(buffer)->id) { case TYPE1: process1(); answer(); ..... } } } I want to document this is pictorial way like for Message type 1 it calls this function which calls another and which calls another. Please let me know any open source tool which will allow me to quickly draw such kind of UML or sequence diagram and will also allow me to write brief description of what each function does? Thanks In Advance

  • JSON to javaScript array

    - by saturn_research
    I'm having a problem handling JSON data within JavaScript, specifically in regards to using the data as an array and accessing and iterating through individual values. The JSON file is structured as follows: { "head": { "vars": [ "place" , "lat" , "long" , "page" ] } , "results": { "bindings": [ { "place": { "type": "literal" , "value": "Building A" } , "lat": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "10.3456" } , "long": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "-1.2345" } , "page": { "type": "uri" , "value": "http://www.example.com/a.html" } } , { "place": { "type": "literal" , "value": "Building B" } , "lat": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "11.3456" } , "long": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "-2.2345" } , "page": { "type": "uri" , "value": "http://www.example.com/b.html" } } , { "place": { "type": "literal" , "value": "Building C" } , "lat": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "12.3456" } , "long": { "datatype": "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#float" , "type": "typed-literal" , "value": "-3.2345" } , "page": { "type": "uri" , "value": "http://www.example.com/c.html" } } ] } } I want to be able to convert this into a JavaScript array as follows in order that I can iterate through it and pull out the values for each location in order: var locations = [ ['Building A',10.3456,-1.2345,'http://www.example.com/a.html'], ['Building B',11.3456,-2.2345,'http://www.example.com/b.html'], ['Building C',12.3456,-3.2345,'http://www.example.com/c.html'] ]; Does anyone have any advice on how to achieve this? I have tried the following, but it picks up the "type" within the JSON, rather than just the value: $.each(JSONObject.results.bindings, function(i, object) { $.each(object, function(property, object) { $.each(object, function(property, value) { value; }); }); }); Any help, suggestions, advice or corrections would be greatly appreciated.

  • jQuery adding a row to a table with click() handler for tr

    - by Dave
    I'm having an issue with a control I'm building that contains a table where the body is scrollable. The rows have a click() function handler established like: /** * This function is called when the user clicks the mouse on a row in * our scrolling table. */ $('.innerTable tr').click (function (e) { // // Only react to the click if the mouse was clicked in the DIV or // the TD. // if (event.target.nodeName == 'DIV' || event.target.nodeName == 'TD' ) { // // If the user wasn't holding down the control key, then deselect // any previously selected columns. // if (e.ctrlKey == false) { $('.innerTable tr').removeClass ('selected'); } // // Toggle the selected state of the row that was clicked. // $(this).toggleClass ('selected'); } }); There is a button that adds rows to the table like: $('#innerTable > tbody:last').append('<tr>...some information...</tr>'); While the rows ARE added successfully, for some reason, the static rows work with the click handler, but the newly added rows do not. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

  • How to add a WHERE clause on the second table of a 1-to-1 join in Fluent NHibernate?

    I'm using a legacy database that was 'future proofed' to keep track of historical changes. It turns out this feature is never used so I want to map the tables into a single entity. My tables are: CodesHistory (CodesHistoryID (pk), CodeID (fk), Text) Codes (CodeID (pk), CodeName) To add an additional level of complexity, these tables hold the content for the drop down lists throughout the application. So, I'm trying to map a Title entity (Mr, Mrs etc.) as follows: Title ClassMap - Public Sub New() Table("CodesHistory") Id(Function(x) x.TitleID, "CodesHistoryID") Map(Function(x) x.Text) 'Call into the other half of the 1-2-1 join in order to merge them in 'this single domain object Join("Codes", AddressOf AddTitleDetailData) Where("CodeName like 'C.Title.%'") End Sub ' Method to merge two tables with a 1-2-1 join into a single entity in VB.Net Public Sub AddTitleDetailData(ByVal m As JoinPart(Of Title)) m.KeyColumn("CodeID") m.Map(Function(x) x.CodeName) End Sub From the above, you can see that my 'CodeName' field represents the select list in question (C.Title, C.Age etc). The problem is that the WHERE clause only applies to the 'CodesHistory' table but the 'CodeName' field is in the 'Codes' table. As I'm sure you can guess there's no scope to change the database. Is it possible to apply the WHERE clause to the Codes table?

  • Restrict allowed file upload types PHP

    - by clang1234
    Right now I have a function which takes my uploaded file, checks the extension, and if it matches an array of valid extensions it's processed. It's a contact list importer. What I need to figure out is how to be sure that file (in this case a .csv) is actually what it says it is (ex. not an excel file that just got renamed as a .csv). Our servers run PHP 5.2.13 Here's the current validation function I have public static function validateExtension($file_name,$ext_array) { $extension = strtolower(strrchr($file_name,".")); $valid_extension="FALSE"; if (!$file_name) { return false; } else { if (!$ext_array) { return true; } else { foreach ($ext_array as $value) { $first_char = substr($value,0,1); if ($first_char <> ".") { $extensions[] = ".".strtolower($value); } else { $extensions[] = strtolower($value); } } foreach ($extensions as $value) { if ($value == $extension) { $valid_extension = "TRUE"; } } if ($valid_extension==="TRUE") { return true; } else { return false; } } } }

  • once again..."$ is not defined" - trying to implement sIFR

    - by supervision
    Hey Guys, my file beginning looks like this: <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>My title</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/style.css" /> <script src="js/update.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <!-- sifr --> <link href="sifr207/sIFR-screen.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <script src="sifr207/sifr.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { if(typeof sIFR == "function") { sIFR.replaceElement("sifr", named({sFlashSrc: "sIFR-2.0.7/corporateacon-reg.swf", sColor: "#FF0000" , sWmode: "transparent"})); }; }); </script> <!-- --> </head> I really do not understand why the '$(document).ready(function()' is not found, because I implement sifr.js BEFORE that call. Any suggestions? I would appriciate it, really! shoutz, supervision
