  • Facebook Graph API authorization problem

    If I load the following URL in Firefox and login to Facebook, I'm getting a page displaying "An invalid next or cancel parameter was specified." https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=c8caf78d724d142ee82334131ef5c9ce&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&type=user_agent&display=touch&scope=offline_access,publish_stream But if I change the display parameter to display=page I no longer get this error. Any ideas as to why?

  • ASP.NET MVC - Do stylesheets have to go in the Site.Master file?

    Hi all, I noticed that I cannot add stylesheets on any page. They must be added to the master page. I already have about 15 stylesheets in the master view, which seems like overkill, since only some of the pages use a certain stylesheet. I imagine I could reference the file via javascript (although, I can't think of how off the top of my head), but it would be really nice to not have to use any.

  • asp.net MVC: how to catch a 404 error?

    Hi, in the old days, with asp.net, when i would navigate to a non existing page, the .net framework (or iis?) would throw a 404 and i could attach a default page to that error in the web.config in the custom errors section. but in the asp.net mvc that doesn't seem to work? Does the mvc framework throws some kind of invalid route excpetion saying it can't find any route for my uri or something like that?

    Hi all, I've got an e-shop on a virtual server that's been used as a subdirectory for the last few years, but now I'm finally giving the VS it's own domain name. What I really need is visitors to the old URL to be transparently (and 301) redirected to the new URL with everything after /eshop/ maintained and apended to the new host. I.e. http://www.example.com/eshop/page.php - http://www.newdomain.com/page.php Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    CGContextSetFillColorWithColor(g, [UIColor greyColor].CGColor); I'm trying to follow O'Reilly's iPhone Game Development book on page 73 Chapter 3 but I'm running into a compile error that states error: request for member 'CGColor' in something not a structure or union According to the book's errata page this is an unconfirmed errata in the book.     Hi Everyone, I'm having a problem with this page http://www.gwynfryncottages.com/news.php The .blog-footer div needs to clear on the right to correct for the height of the pictures introducing clear:right; causes the huge gap to appear on the page in FF and IE. I'm at a loss, I've tried numerous ideas to get around the problem and at this point i've been staring at it too long to see the problem clearly. Can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.

  • Android pluginable application

    I've been trying to create an android-application the last couple of weeks, and mostly everything has worked out great, but there is one thing that I was wondering about, and that is pluginability trough the use of intents. What I'm trying to create is basically a comic-reader. As of the version I use now, I open the application and get a list of commics that are my favourites, then I enter one to get a detailed view, and finally I enter a page. This is managed trough 3 activities. List, Details and Page. However, as of now the application can only read comics of one source (a specialiced xml-feed comming from my server), and I was hoping to be able to expand this a litle (also, the page-activity and some other stuff needs to be cleaned up in, so I'm thinking about remaking from scratch, and just take the first go as a learning-round). And I came up with an idea which I think sounds great, but I don't know if it's possible, but this is what I'm thinking about: The user enters the application and get an (first time empty) list of comics. The user hits a button to find comics, this launces an intent that says something like "find comic" or something like that. This should cause the system to display all matching activities. This would make it possible to provide different comic-providers trough different applications. Another activity kicks in and might displays some options to the user (for instance a file-browser), or might not (in the example of an xml-feed, which should just load). The list is returned to the first activity and displayed to the user. The second (find) activity is closed. The user picks a comic from the list. This should open some details-activity. The details-activity should receive a key which corresponds to the comic selected. This should be unique amongst the comic-providers. The details-view should get it's data trough some cind of content-provider, or an activity (whichever is most suited, if one of them is). The user can select a page. This should be the same routine as step 5. My question is, is this possible in the android system, and if it is, is it a bad idea? And also, is there any better way to achieve more or less the same thing?

    I have a typical views page displaying nodes, with a taxonomy tid receiveid as an argument through the url: cat/% Now I want to further narow the results with an exposed filter by a cck field. All goes well and for tid=10 (for instance), the filtered page url is cat/10?field_no_people_value=5 Now, when I expose the filter in a block, the argument, tid, goes away and I get cat/all?field_no_people_value=5 . Obviously, filtering by tid doesn't happen anymore. How should I get around this?

  • Is there anyway to programmably flush the buffer in log4net

    Hi I'm using log4net with AdoNetAppender. It's seems that the AdoNetAppender has a Flush method. Is there anyway I can call that from my code? I'm trying to create an admin page to view all the entries in the database log, and I will like to setup log4net with bufferSize=100 (or more), then I want the administrator to be able to click an button on the admin page to force log4net to write the buffered log entries to the database (without shutting down log4net). Is that possible?

It works when I call it on a full post back, but when I call it from a updatePanel's asyncPostBack no alert is shown. public void ShowAlertMessage(String message) { string alertScript = String.Format("alert('{0}');", message); Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "Key", alertScript, true); } What do I need to do so it works on partial post backs?

    Hi, How would I reset my asp:DropDownList element (which has a runat="server") to index 0 every time the page is "reloaded" in firefox (F5 is pressed). If you suggest using javascript...please note that A: I am not using a form and B: I don't know how to access elements that have a runat="server" with javascript If this can be done using script on the .aspx page....please explain things you think an ASP newb would not know (ie. me, lol) thanks, Andrew :)

  • Symfony : ajax call cause server to queue next queries

    Hello, I've a problem with my application when an ajax call on the server takes too much time : it queue all the others queries from the user until it's done server side (I realized that canceling the call client side has no effect and the user still have to wait). Here is my test case : <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.4.1.min.js"></script> <a href="another-page.php">Go to another page on the same server</a> <script type="text/javascript"> url = 'http://localserver/some-very-long-complex-query'; $.get(url); </script> So when the get is fired and then after I click on the link, the server finish serving the first call before bringing me to the other page. My problem is that I want to avoid this behavior. I'm on a LAMP server and I'm looking in a way to inform the server that the user aborted the query with function like connection_aborted(), do you think that's the way to go ? Also, I know that the longest part of this PHP script is a MySQL query, so even if I know that connection_aborted() can detect that the user cancel the call, I still need to check this during the MySQL query... I'm not really sure that PHP can handle this kind of "event". So if you have any better idea, I can't wait to hear it. Thank you. Update : After further investigation, I found that the problem happen only with the Symfony framework (that I omitted to precise, my bad). It seems that an Ajax call lock any other future call. It maybe related to the controller or the routing system, I'm looking into it. Also for those interested by the problem here is my new test case : -new project with Symfony 1.4.3, default configuration, I just created an app and a default module. -jquery 1.4 for the ajax query. I've managed, with the code below, to create a customized category picker widget that appears on the PAGE editor.
