  What I'm trying to achieve is to replace the numbers in the string with a new values calculated from the (match * int). So the string input looks like: 500g Flour 14g Salt 7g Dry yeast 45ml Olive oil 309ml Water And the result should look like this: 1000g Flour 14g Salt 14g Dry yeast 90ml Olive oil 618 ml Water row["ingredients"] is a DataRow. This is where I'm at: System.Text.RegularExpressions. • CommandManager "cannot resolve symbol"

  After adding "RelayCommand" class (that uses CommandManager class) into my Silverlight App I've got an error: The name 'CommandManager' does not exist in the current context This class is a member of System.Windows.Input namespace that is in PresentationCore.dll assembly. The problem is that I can't add this dll into my app... I am having a strange assumption: this class (CommmandManager) can't be used in the Silverlight. Am I right? How can I implement MVVM-pattern (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd419663.aspx)? Thanks.

  I am looking to add a string containing the user's text input to the note.content of my note. After reading, I have found how to add resources, but I don't want the resource to be an attachment, I want it to be the actual text. Is it not possible to reference it with the dot as I am doing? Do I need a jQuery specific function or syntax for it to know that it's a jQuery function or is there no such thing?

• Interpreter in C++: Function table storage problem

  In my interpreter I have built-in functions available in the language like print exit input, etc. These functions can obviously be accessed from inside the language. The interpreter then looks for the corresponding function with the right name in a vector and calls it via a pointer stored with its name. So I gather all these functions in files like io.cpp, string.cpp, arithmetic.cpp. But I have to add every function to the function list in the interpreter in order for it to be found. So in these function files I have things like: void print( arg ) { cout << arg.ToString; } I'd add this print function to the interpreter function list with: interpreter.AddFunc( "print", print ); But where should I call the interpreter.AddFunc? I can't just put it there below the print function as it has to be in a function according to the C++ syntax. Where and how should all the functions be added to the list?

• Rails table inheritance issue

  I've setup some models in the table inheritance fashion and everything seems to be all fine and dandy. But, when I use a collection select field to select values from one of the models it saves it but it saves the ID of the data and not the actual value of the data. So when I try to display the value on the show view it just shows the corresponding ID and not the actual value. Here is my setup. I'm using formtastic as a side note. Since the Ant build can take 5 minutes, I would like to see the output line by line. Instead, I'm getting the entire input at the end of the process. Looking at it with the Perl debugger, Perl waits at the 'for' statement, until Ant terminates. Why is that?

  Hello. I'm trying to get rid of unnecessary symbols after decimal seperator of my double value. I'm doing it this way: DecimalFormat format = new DecimalFormat("#.#####"); value = Double.valueOf(format.format(41251.50000000012343)); But when I run this code, it throws: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "41251,5" at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(FloatingDecimal.java:1224) at java.lang.Double.valueOf(Double.java:447) at ... As I see, Double.valueOf() works great with strings like "11.1", but it chokes on strings like "11,1". How do I work around this? Is there a more elegant way then something like Double.valueOf(format.format(41251.50000000012343).replaceAll(",", ".")); Is there a way to override the default decimal separator value of DecimalFormat class?

• How do you make Python wait so that you can read the output?

  I've always been a heavy user of Notepad2, as it is fast, feature-rich, and supports syntax highlighting. Recently I've been using it for Python. My problem: when I finish editing a certain Python source code, and try to launch it, the screen disappears before I can see the output pop up. Is there any way for me to make the results wait so that I can read it, short of using an input() or time-delay function? Otherwise I'd have to use IDLE, because of the output that stops for you to read. (My apologies if this question is a silly one, but I'm very new at Python and programming in general.)

• Why I am not that user after I load cookies?

I use this Chrome plugin "cookie.txt export" export cookies.txt, I copy all content it export and use following cmd like wget -x --load-cookies cookies.txt http://www.example.com/api/name=xxxx but it doesn't work. • Workaround for PHP SOAP request failure when wsdl defines service port binding as https and port 80?

  I am consuming a SOAP web service using php5's soap extension. The service' wsdl was generated using Axis java2wsdl, and whatever options are used during generation result in the port binding url being listed as https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx**:80** If I download the wsdl to my server, remove the port 80 specification from the port binding location value, and reference the local file in my soapclient call it works fine. However, if I try to reference it remotely (or download it and reference it locally, as-is) the call fails with a soap fault. I have no input into the service side so I can't make them change their wsdl-generation process. So, unless there's a way to make the soapclient ignorant of the port, I'm stuck with using a locally modified copy of someone else' wsdl (which I'd rather not do). Any thoughts on how to make my soapclient ignore the port 80?

• casting BSTR as char* in a dll; different results depnding on VB/C# caller.

  I have a dll function that takes BSTR parameters. These are casted as char* before being used for other things. When the dll is called from VB code this works fine. However, when it is called from C# code, only the first character is pointed to. Both of these are excel addIns for Pre-2007 and 2007+ versions of Office, which call into a faster C++ AddIn. They actually call it directly, not through Excel. The VB function declaration looks like this: Private Declare Function Test Lib "ExcelAddIn.xll" (ByVal param As String) As String The C# function declaration looks like this: [DllImport("ExcelAddIn.xll", CharSet=CharSet.Ansi)] [return:MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.BStr)] private static extern string Test([MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.BStr)] string param); When debugging the dll and watching the input BSTR values, they appear to be correct from both; just the C# one only casts the first character. Charset=CharSet.Unicode makes no difference. Any ideas anyone?

  Hey guys I have a simple create method with some validations and whenever the create method fails due to validation errors it re-renders the 'new' action. The problem is in my new action/view I have a local variable that is established in the action and passed to a partial to render some related information to what the user is creating. Now when my create action fails and I try to re-render the 'new' action I'm getting the always awesome undefined method `cover' for nil:NilClass error. What is the best way to handle re-establishing my action's local variables on a render instead of redirecting to the action again and the user losing the data they input?

• printf not passing correct Hex Address to stack

  I have a hickup in using printf . I am on ubuntu 10.04. Basically i have a C program asking for some input and then prints it back. It is OK for printing something after inputing. I tried to insert some Hex Address to Stack by following format:- printf "hello world!\x12\x23\x34" | ./input1 But i don't know what is the problem. If i give only string beyond 12 bytes it overwrites BUT If I give hex address(through printf), it doesn't overwrite on return address. Instead it stores some other thing. Could anyone help??? I can't proceed further becoz of this. Thanks in advance

• jquery / javascript for a user to select 1 of n images

  I want to display a few images (probably 5 max) and have a user click to select one. First thing I tried was radio buttons and putting the images inside labels. <input type="radio" name="BackgroundId" id="BackgroundId" value="1" /> <label for="BackgroundId"><img src="../../Content/images/thumb_1.jpg" /></label> Firefox will select the radio button when the user clicks the image, but IE doesn't. Is there a jquery plugin that will make the images clickable? Fancy-form looks like something I could use, but it isn't jquery and I've already got jquery in my project. Or can someone point me to a better way of selecting a single image?
