• Windows Phone 7 HttpRequest Unable to see true Error Code and response details

  I have to call a somewhat broken API from a Windows Phone 7 application. The API returns a 302 error and a cookie to the authentication request. I've tried every way I've been able to find in the MSDN documentation for using ClientHTTP instead of BrowserHTTP (registering the prefix, using the call to explicitly create a ClientHTTP using Request), but the 302 is getting translated to a 404 and I'm not seeing the cookies on the response. I've tried a WebClient, I've tried an HttpRequest and it is always the translated error message. If I allocate a CookieContainer for the HttpRequest, I get a null argument exception when the client stack is parsing the returned message. I can see that the response is coming back as expected via Fiddler.

I wanted to put put that list in the session as: facesContext........put("mylist", mylist); And in the getters of the mylist, I have public List<MyClass> getMyList() { if(mylist== null){ mylist= (List<MyClass>) FacesContext......getSessionMap().get("mylist"); } return mylist; } Now the problem is whene ever i click on paging button to go to second page, only the first records are displayed, I know i am missing some thing, and I have few questions: Is the way of putting the list in session correct. • Accessing Session and IPrinciple data in a Master View in Asp.Net MCV

  I currently have a abstract controller class that I all my controllers inherit from. In my master page I want to be able to access some data that will be in Session and also the currently user (IPrinciple). I read that I could use the contructor of by abstract base controller class, that is I could do something like public BaseController() { ViewData["SomeData"] = Session["SomeData"]; ViewData["UserName"] = this.User.Identity.Name; } I could then access ViewData["UserName"] etc from my master page. My problem is that both Session and User are null at this point. Does anybody know of a different approach? Thanks in advance.

• Java Hibernate id auto increment

  Hy I'v a little problem with hibernate on netbeans. I've a table with an Auto increment id : CREATE TABLE "DVD" ( "DVD_ID" INT not null primary key GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY (START WITH 1, INCREMENT BY 1), "TITLE" VARCHAR(150), "COM" LONG VARCHAR, "COVER" VARCHAR(150) ); But this auto increment is not properly detected with Reverse Engineering. I get a map file with this : <id name="dvdId" type="int"> <column name="DVD_ID" /> <generator class="assigned" /> </id> i've looked on google and on this site ... foud some stuf but i'm still stuck.. i've tried to add insert="false" update="false" on the map file but i get back : Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Attribute "insert" must be declared for element type "id". • ListView slow performance

  I've created a list of recipes using Listview/customcursoradapter. A custom layout includes a photo for the recipe , Now I've some problems with the performance of viewing and scrolling the Listview although it has only 10 records (Target is 150). sometimes i get this error java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: bitmap size exceeds VM budget , I've tried to implement the Async task but i failed to do it. Is there any way i can overcome this problem? Your help is highly appreciated !!   using vs2008, c# Howdy, Im instantiating and calling Form B from Form A. FormB has some custom properties, to allow me to pass it things like sqlAdaptors and dataset instances. When i instantiate and show Form B from Form A as a dialog form with a Using statement, it all works fine, but i find the properties i pass are not available in Form B until after the form_load event has fired. I was under the impression the properties when passed to a instantiated class should be available from a constructor, but this is not the case. If it try to access the properties before the form load event i get a null reference exception. Is this correct behavior ? It is very annoying. thanks for any help

Now I have some 1:M tables on this entities on which all CRUD operations can be executed. What is more efficient or has better performance? My first solution: To add to all CRUD operations: UPDATE ... JOIN entity e ...   right now I am trying to Setup Continuouse Integration - Delivery for a basic WCF Service, which will be hosted on a Microsoft Azure VM. The Project is Version Controlled through Visual Studio Online. So I installed Jenkins (also on the Azure VM), TFS plugin etc. and started the first Test Build: As Server URL I used "[VSO Adress]/DefaultCollection" and for Login purposes my Microsoft Account (I can Access VSO with that).   Hi, I wrote some C++ code in which I used Templates. Since I used templates, I could not initialize a couple of template class variables. I got an warning message from valgrind saying Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialized value(s). So is there a way to get around this and/or initialize template variables?? I couldn't think of a way to do it because even if I initailize them as NULL, when I use string data type a run time failure occurres. Thank You!

  I'm a windows user, and I'm learning C. I use Codeblocks and visual c++ 2008 express at home to write simple C command line programs (I'm a beginner) and I find really useful when codeblocks adds a few lines at the end with the time it takes (example: "Process returned 0 (0x0) execution time : 6.848 s"). I want to add this functionality to the .exe so I can 'benchmark' or 'test' the program on a few computers. I tried using time(NULL) but it only works with 1 second precision. I also found very interesting answers here (I'm actually looking for the same thing): http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2173323/calculating-time-by-the-c-code The solution proposed by Mark Wilkins, works fine on visual c++ 2008 express on my windows 64 bit PC, but the .exe does not work anywhere else. Am I doing something wrong? I would like a method to count elapsed wall time for my programs, that must have 32bit compatibility. Thanks in advance!

• C IPC waiting for child

  So I have a program which creates a child process and executes a command (for example, ls). The parent will then use pipes to send to and get from the child. This works fine when I'm inputting commands myself from the command line. However, when the input comes from a file, it seems like the child doesn't have enough time to run and I get NULL when reading from the pipe - even though there will be information coming from it. Short of using sleep(), is there a better way to make sure the child has run before trying to read from it? Thanks a lot!

Some nodes will be good XML and will go into an XElement, however, some will not. In the CATCH, I'd like to now only catch the standard XmlException stuff... I'd also like to catch an extract of the current Xml and a string. However, if I do any kind of READ operation on the node before I pass it to the XElement, it moves the reader forward. How can get a "snapshot" of the contents of the OuterXml of the reader without interfering with it's position?

  When I do this: Cat x = Session.Load<Cat>(123); x.Name = "fritz"; Session.Flush(); NHibernate detects the change and UPDATEs the DB. But, when I do this: Cat x = new Cat(); Session.Save(x); x.Name = "fritz"; Session.Flush(); I get NULL for name, because that's what was there when I called Session.Save(). Why doesn't NHibernate detect the changes - or better yet, take the values for the INSERT statement at the time of Flush()?

  I am using Silverlight 4 and RIA services. When I try to insert into my database, I get the following error: "Submit operation failed validation. Please inspect Entity.ValidationErrors for each entity in EntitiesInError for more information." Upon inspecting the ValidationErrors, I see: "The Version field is required." Isn't the Version field updated and maintained by the framework? If so, why is it null? If not, how am I supposed to set it?

I can't just add a TypeConverterAttribute to it as I don't own it (nor do I own GeometryDrawing.Pen property).

• Auto wiring of Property does not work for me

  Hi All, In my Asp.Net project I wanna use Property Auto-wiring, e.g. for my ILogger. Basically I placed Property into my base classes. One for Page, one for UserControl. Like below. public class UserControlBase : UserControl { public ILogger CLogger { get; set; } .... } However when calling in inherited control, logger is null. I checked the container and it'a definitely set. Below is setting which is called from Global.asax. public static void SetupForIoC() { Debug.WriteLine("SetupForIoC"); ObjectFactory.Initialize(x => { x.FillAllPropertiesOfType<ILogger>().TheDefaultIsConcreteType<EntLibLogger>().AsSingletons(); x.FillAllPropertiesOfType<ISiteService>().TheDefaultIsConcreteType<SiteService>().AsSingletons(); }); Debug.WriteLine(ObjectFactory.WhatDoIHave()); } Thanks for any advice, tip?
