  • UIScrollView + UIWebView = NO scrollsToTop

    It looks like a problem which could have simple solution, but I haven't found anything what could lead the way to it. I'm using UIWebView inside of UIScrollView and tapping on statusBar (to scroll content to top) is not working. I've made simple test application to see if it's really UIWebViews fault. And it really is. // scrolls to top on status bar tap UIScrollView *sv = [[UIScrollView alloc] init]; sv.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480); sv.contentSize = CGSizeMake(320, 1200); [self.view addSubview:sv]; // doesn't scroll UIScrollView *sv = [[UIScrollView alloc] init]; sv.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480); sv.contentSize = CGSizeMake(320, 1200); UIWebView *wv = [[UIWebView alloc] init]; wv.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 100); [sv addSubview:wv]; [self.view addSubview:sv]; So, I think maybe there's something I could disable to make UIWebView not to mess with scrollToTop? Or some kind of workaround also would be nice. Any ideas?

    I am using UITabbarController with 8 to 9 items (these are UINavigation controllers) It is easy to select an item programmatically using tabbarcontroller.selectedIdex = x; if x value is between 0 to 4 then it's work as expected but if it's greater than 4 then it's select "More" as a view controller. How can we programmatically select an item under "More" list ? any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance

    Hello community! I am trying to solve a basic problem with drag and drop on iPhone. Here's my setup: I have a UIScrollView which has one large content subview (I'm able to scroll and zoom it) Content subview has several small tiles as subviews that should be dragged around inside it. My UIScrollView subclass has this method: - (UIView *)hitTest:(CGPoint)point withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UIView *tile = [contentView pointInsideTiles:[self convertPoint:point toView:contentView] withEvent:event]; if (tile) { return tile; } else { return [super hitTest:point withEvent:event]; } } Content subview has this method: - (UIView *)pointInsideTiles:(CGPoint)point withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { for (TileView *tile in tiles) { if ([tile pointInside:[self convertPoint:point toView:tile] withEvent:event]) return tile; } return nil; } And tile view has this method: - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { UITouch *touch = [touches anyObject]; CGPoint location = [touch locationInView:self.superview]; self.center = location; } This works, but not fully correct: the tile sometimes "falls down" during the drag process. More precisely, it stops receiving touchesMoved: invocations, and scroll view starts scrolling instead. I noticed that this depends on the drag speed: the faster I drag, the quicker the tile "falls". Any ideas on how to keep the tile glued to the dragging finger? Thanks in advance!

I have verified that JsonResult UpdateDropDown does actually retrieve valid data. What am I missing? Assembly reference? (NB: I have MicrosoftAjax.js and MicrosoftMvcAjax.js in my head tags of the master page Should JsonResult be ActionResult? (I have seen both used in samples on web) Do I need to register route Controller/UpdateDropDown in Global.asax? Any further guidance would be appreciated.

So the question is : How do I center the gridview data when I use DisplayMemberBinding to bind the data to the gridview? Thanks in advance.

    I have a scroll view containing several images embedded within a custom cell view, it sometimes scrolls horizontally if I keep holding the cell for a while. I tried a lot of things and it doesn't seem to work, please help? Do you rely on implicit Spring support or you define custom stereotype specific functions/aspects/features? Or is it predominately for marking beans (compile time, conceptual, etc.)?

    Hi... I've added an UIAlertView that has UIActivityIndicatior as a subview on my application. This alertView only show when the purchase is in progress.     I have a scenario where i show stuff like: ----------------------------------- titleview (UITextView) ______________ tArea (UIScrollView) ttextview (UITextView) ----------------------------------- Now here is the condition: Length of titleview's text is dynamic, varies based on user input. Because of the condition I have trouble placing tArea e.g. UIScrollView on the screen, it either appears way too below than the titleview, or overlaps it. Previously what i did: Count the number of characters in titleview.text.length and divide them by 27 (e.g. characters in one line when using boldSystemFontOfSize:20) and multiply by 10 to get the starting X of tArea e.g. UIScrollView. But that sucked. Because i had to duplicate code for rotation to landscape.   • J2ME cache issue

    I have to write a J2ME app to retrieve images from server and display in mobile phone. I have seen and test that Snaptu have a mechanism to cache image, event with 100 images (both normal size and zoom size). I wonder how they can do that? I though that those guys use rms to save image stream to data. But when i check in working folder of simulater( I use Windows XP and Sun Wireless Toolkit 3.0, the Emulator device i use to run my program is CLDC Device 1 - my working folder is C:\Document And Settings\Administrator\javame-sdk\3.0\work\6\appdb), i see some .db file. When i delete these files, i still can view cache image in my emulator???? I also thought that those guys use heap memory to save image. But it is not correct because when i set limit device memory is 2MB (like some mobile phones), and i load and view 100 images in zoom size, it didn't make OutOfMemory Error? It so weird. Any one can help me? Thanks
