  • A feature rich JavaScript IDE environment?

    I'm currently using Visual Studio 2008 to edit .js files with, and it has decent support but I want more... I like the VS syntax highlighting and auto-indentation features but additionally would like advanced features like: contextual info and help, collapsible JavaScript blocks, implicit symbol understanding for searching, refactoring and that kind of thing; also warnings and errors for the js code. Suggestions?

I have specified the Sharepoint site url in the Project solution property.... I'm not bothered about any of the visual design aspects of vs, but of course love intellisense and the debugging features.   • Adding links to full change forms for inline items in django admin?

    I have a standard admin change form for an object, with the usual StackedInline forms for a ForeignKey relationship. I would like to be able to link each inline item to its corresponding full-sized change form, as the inline item has inlined items of its own, and I can't nest them. I've tried everything from custom widgets to custom templates, and can't make anything work. So far, the "solutions" I've seen in the form of snippets just plain don't seem to work for inlines. I'm getting ready to try some DOM hacking with jQuery just to get it working and move on. I hope I must be missing something very simple, as this seems like such a simple task! Using Django 1.2.

  • How do I set the bake command to use a different template in cakephp

    Hi all, I wanted bake command to bake a view of my liking. So I searched bakery and found this Modify-default-HTML-produced-by-baked-templates. But after reading this I was not able to modify the template because I wanted to define some CSS in it and those files are not containing any CSS code (they contain only php code inside them). Also if I have designed my own CSS file for the new template then how do I tell bake command to pick that specified css file for new template ? I am totally confused over here. Has anybody done this similar kinda work using cakePHP. Any help would be greatly appreciable. NOTE: I am using cakePHP v 1.3 latest stable release. Thanks

  • Assistance using respond_to to find the right actions to render PDF in ruby on rails

    Hi, I am trying out Prince with the Princely plugin, which is supposed to format templates that have the .pdf into a PDF generator. Here is my controller: class TodoController < ApplicationController def show_date @date = Date.today @campaigns = Campaign.all @contacts = Contact.all @contacts.each do |contact| end respond_to do |format| format.html format.pdf do render :pdf => "filename", :stylesheets => ["application", "prince"], :layout => "pdf" end end end end I changed the routes.db to include the following: map.connect ':controller/:action.:format' map.todo "todo/today", :controller => "todo", :action => "show_date" My expected behavior is when I enter todo/today.pdf, it tries to execute show_date, but renders according to the princely plugin. Right now, it says cannot find action. What do I need to do to fix this?

  • Update tile notifcation with XML returned by web service

    I have a Metro app in C# & XAML. The tile is updated periodically and I've used WebAPI to serve the tile notification XML. So far so good. I was then told that I cannot use WebAPI as the server that I was planning to host it on does not have .NET 4.5. No plans to install it anytime soon either. I had to change the WebAPI to a plain old Web service (.NET 3.5) which does the same thing - return tile notification XML. I've enabled HTTP-GET (I know, security concern) and was able to invoke the webservice like this - http://server/TileNotifications.asmx/[email protected] But ever since I made the switch, the tiles are not being updated. I've checked Fiddler and made sure the app is hitting the webservice and the XML is being returned correctly. But the tiles are not updated. If I replace it with the WebAPI, the tiles are updated. Do I need to do anything special with the web services? like decorating the web method with a custom attribute?     Hi, I have build my custom webpart using the visual studio extensions. I want to deploy it. but getting error: No SharePoint Site exists at the specified URL for the solution I have tried to change the "Start browser with URL" from properties of the project in Debug tab. I gave my site name with port as, http://myserver:500/ but still problem there, when a i say build or deploy. Please guide me.

    I'm using Symfony 1.4 and Doctrine. My application's backend was built using Symfony's admin generator. It works great when I want to display basic stuff. But tehre's not a lot of documentation on how to enhance it and add new pages. Let's take an example: I want to list published items on one page and to-be-published items on another one. I've used several ways to that in my application but can't figure out what the best way is: playing with filters and then modify templates depending on where you are? creating another module calling a different table_method? some other technique I don't know about? What's the best practice here? How do you guys usually do to customize your admin?

Now, I'm gonna load it into the WPF Project as an image, I've used the following XAML code: <Image Stretch="Fill" Source="pack://siteoforigin:,,,/images/lock.png" /> It works, but Expression Blend or Visual Studio doesn't show it when I'm working on the project. How can we show external images in these situations?

  • Cannot Extend Django 1.2.1 Admin Template

    I am attempting to override/extend the header for the Django admin in version 1.2.1. However when I try to extend the admin template and simply change what I need documented here: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/admin/#overriding-vs-replacing-an-admin-template), I run into a recursion problem. I have an index.html file in my project's templates/admin/ directory that starts with {% extends "admin/index.html" %} But it seems that this is referencing the local index file (a.k.a. itself) rather than the default Django copy. I want to extend the default Django template and simply change a few blocks. When I try this file, I get a recursion depth error. How can I extend parts of the admin? Thanks.

    I have written a WinForms application that presents a color picker, limited to the known colors. My environment is Visual Studio C# Express 2008, C#, and Framework 2.0. Currently the MS Paint Colors menu item only presents an Edit Colors dialog. I would like to supplement that by causing the Colors menu item to display both "Edit Colors" and "Edit Known Colors". Can I accomplish this? If so, please provide a citation (or code if preferrred).

    Would having a nice little feature that makes it quicker to write code like Automatic Properties fit very nicely with the mantra of VB.NET? Something like this would work perfect: Public Property FirstName() As String Get Set End Property UPDATE: VB.NET 10 (coming with Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0) will have Automatic Properties. Since they are a somewhat distributed team, though, all of the issue management / work management must be done via an electronic tool (we currently use Trac).     My rails app is about to go live and I'm trying to figure out how to create a widget based on data on the site. My Javascript is not too hot--limited to the O'reilly head first book on JS. I can read simple Javascript okay but when it comes to writing it I'm a little lost. That said, I hope to roll out a widget, maybe a wordpress plugin too soon after my app is launched. Does anyone know of any rails plugins, javascript templates, tutorials or books that can get me going? I did ask a similar question before here: But my limited knowledge of JS kept me from implementing the suggested answer properly.
