• (resolved) empty response body in ajax (or 206 Partial Content)

  Hi guys, I'm feeling completely stupid because I've spent two hours solving task which should be very simple and which I solved many times before. But now I'm not even sure in which direction to dig. I fail to fetch static content using ajax from local servers (Apache and Mongrel). I get responses 200 and 206 (depending on the server), empty response text (although Content-Length header is always correct), firebug shows request in red. Javascript is very generic, I'm getting same results even here: http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/tryit.asp?filename=tryajax_first (just change document location to 'http://localhost:3000/whatever') So, it's probably not the cause. Well, now I'm out of ideas. I can also post http headers, if it'll help. Thanks!   Its my first time to use web service in iOS. REST was my first choice and I use code igniter to form it. • Drawing text to <canvas> with @font-face does not work at the first time

  Hi all, First try the test case please: http://lemon-factory.net/test/font-face-and-canvas.html I'm not good at English, so I made the test case to be self-explanatory. On the first click to the DRAW button, it will not draw text, or will draw with an incorrect typeface instead of the specified "PressStart", according to your browser. After then it works as expected. At the first time the text does not appear correctly in all browsers I've tested (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). Is it the standard behavior or something?   Hi I am having a problem debugging an issue on a website. Everything works locally, the local and server databases are the same The strange thing about the error is that it points to my local dev machine in the error stack. When the user specific XML file, the file nodes are represented "enduser viewable". I made an interface with some NSTextField. I made a subclass of NSDocument called "XMLFile" so i got "XMLFile.h" and "XMLFile.m" in my Xcode project.   I've been trying to get XPointer URIs working in an SVG file, but haven't had any luck so far. After trying something more complicated and failing, I simplified it down to just referencing an ID. However, this still fails.   My issue is simple. I have already implemented a tab system, and I'd probably spend more time implementing another one with the solution I need, than giving a shot at adapting the code I have, and learn something while asking :) My problem is that the tabs can't be linked to, I need to be able to link to a tab from another website or page, and have that tab get selected upon page load. ie: I have three tabs showing different products, by default tab 1 is active/selected when the page loads. From the home page I want to link to tab 2 but I can't link to tab 2 because it doesn't get selected. Not sure if that makes sense. • Importing a large delimited file to a MySQL table

  I have this large (and oddly formatted txt file) from the USDA's website. It is the NUT_DATA.txt file. But the problem is that it is almost 27mb! I was successful in importing the a few other smaller files, but my method was using file_get_contents which it makes sense why an error would be thrown if I try to snag 27+ mb of RAM. So how can I import this massive file to my MySQL DB without running into a timeout and RAM issue? I've tried just getting one line at a time from the file, but this ran into timeout issue. Using PHP 5.2.0. Here is the old script (the fields in the DB are just numbers because I could not figure out what number represented what nutrient, I found this data very poorly document.
