  • Changing an Action Type="click" to an auto action in SVG

    - by Dustin Myers
    I have a SVG document that I exported from Visio 2003 that would like to edit. This file has an action where you click a button it will navigate to a new screen. What I would like to do is have the navigation be based off of a data point rather than having to click the button. As an example I have a dynamic point data being brought into the SVG file and when that value changes from 0 to 1, I want this screen to automatically navigate to another screen. Below is the code I for clicking the button. <title content="structured text">Sheet.1107</title> <desc content="structured text">Button 1</desc> <v:custProps> <v:cp v:ask="false" v:langID="1033" v:invis="false" v:cal="0" v:val="VT4(Test Graphic 2)" v:type="0" v:prompt="" v:nameU="ObjRef" v:sortKey="" v:lbl="" v:format=""/> <v:cp v:ask="false" v:langID="1033" v:invis="false" v:cal="0" v:val="VT4(SF-S)" v:type="0" v:prompt="" v:nameU="DataPt" v:sortKey="" v:lbl="" v:format=""/> </v:custProps> <v:userDefs> <v:ud v:prompt="" v:nameU="NAVIGATE" v:val="VT4(NAVIGATE Test Graphic 2,&apos;&apos;,)"/> </v:userDefs> <v:textBlock v:margins="rect(4,4,4,4)"/> <v:textRect width="125.01" height="35" cx="62.5" cy="517.5"/> <rect x="0" width="125" y="500" height="35" class="st3"/> <text x="40.15" y="521.1" v:langID="1033" class="st4"><v:paragraph v:horizAlign="1"/><v:tabList/>Button 1</text> <jci:action type="click" count="1">if(evt.button == 0) nav(&apos;Test Graphic 2&apos;,&apos;&apos;,&apos;&apos;);</jci:action></g></a> In the above code I am bringing in the data value from SF-S. Once that value is equal to 1 I want this screen to automatically navigate to Test Graphic 2. I don't have any experience with coding so I am hoping someone here will be able to help me. Thanks, DMyers

  • Using XAML + designer to edit Plain Old CLR Objects?

    - by Joe White
    I want to write a POCO in XAML, and use a DataTemplate to display that object in the GUI at runtime. So far, so good; I know how to do all that. Since I'll already have a DataTemplate that can transform my POCO into a WPF visual tree, is there any way to get the Visual Studio designer to play along, and have the Design View show me the POCO+DataTemplate's resulting GUI, as I edit the POCO's XAML? (Obviously the designer wouldn't know how to edit the "design view"; I wouldn't expect the Toolbox or click-and-drag to work on the design surface. That's fine -- I just want to see a preview as I edit.) If you're curious, the POCOs in question would be level maps for a game. (At this point, I'm not planning to ship an end-user map editor, so I'll be doing all the editing myself in Visual Studio.) So the XAML isn't WPF GUI objects like Window and UserControl, but it's still not something where I would want to blindly bang out some XAML and hope for the best. I want to see what I'm doing (the GUI map) as I'm doing it. If I try to make a XAML file whose root is my map object, the designer shows "Intentionally Left Blank - The document root element is not supported by the visual designer." It does this even if I've defined a DataTemplate in App.xaml's <Application.Resources>. But I know the designer can show my POCO, when it's inside a WPF object. One possible way of accomplishing what I want would be to have a ScratchUserControl that just contains a ContentPresenter, and write my POCO XAML inside that ContentPresenter's Content property, e.g.: <UserControl ...> <ContentPresenter> <ContentPresenter.Content> <Maps:Map .../> </ContentPresenter.Content> </ContentPresenter> </UserControl> But then I would have to be sure to copy the content back out into its own file when I was done editing, which seems tedious and error-prone, and I don't like tedious and error-prone. And since I can preview my XAML this way, isn't there some way to do it without the UserControl?

  • Why does firefox round-trip to the server to determine whether my files are modifed?

    - by erikkallen
    I have some static content on my web site that I have set up caching for (using Asp.NET MVC). According to Firebug, the first time I open the page, Firefox sends this request: GET /CoreContent/Core.css?asm=0.7.3614.34951 Host: 127.0.0.1:3916 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept: text/css,*/*;q=0.1 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 300 Connection: keep-alive Referer: http://127.0.0.1:3916/Edit/1/101 Cookie: .ASPXAUTH=52312E5A802C1A079E2BA29AA2BFBC5A38058977B84452D62ED52855D4164659B4307661EC73A307BFFB2ED3871C67CB3A9AAFDB3A75A99AC0A21C63A6AADE9A11A7138C672E75125D9FF3EFFBD9BF62 Pragma: no-cache Cache-Control: no-cache Which my server replies to with this: Server: ASP.NET Development Server/9.0.0.0 Date: Mon, 23 Nov 2009 18:44:41 GMT X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 X-AspNetMvc-Version: 1.0 Cache-Control: public, max-age=31535671 Expires: Tue, 23 Nov 2010 18:39:12 GMT Last-Modified: Mon, 23 Nov 2009 18:39:12 GMT Vary: * Content-Type: text/css Content-Length: 15006 Connection: Close So far, so good. However, if I refresh Firefox (not a cache-clearing refresh, just a normal one), during that refresh cycle Firefox will once again go to the server with this request: GET /CoreContent/Core.css?asm=0.7.3614.34951 Host: 127.0.0.1:3916 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Accept: text/css,*/*;q=0.1 Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive: 300 Connection: keep-alive Referer: http://127.0.0.1:3916/Edit/1/101 Cookie: .ASPXAUTH=52312E5A802C1A079E2BA29AA2BFBC5A38058977B84452D62ED52855D4164659B4307661EC73A307BFFB2ED3871C67CB3A9AAFDB3A75A99AC0A21C63A6AADE9A11A7138C672E75125D9FF3EFFBD9BF62 If-Modified-Since: Mon, 23 Nov 2009 18:39:20 GMT Cache-Control: max-age=0 to which my server responds 304 Not Modified. Why does Firefox issue this second request? In the first response, I said that the cache does not expire for a year (I intend to use query parameters whenever things change). Do I have to add another response header to prevent this extra roundtrip? Edit: It does not matter whether I press refresh, or whether I go to the page again (or a different URL, which references the same external files). Firefox does the same again. Also, I don't claim this to be a bug in FF, I just wonder if there is another header I can set which means "This document will never change, don't bother me again".

  • writing XML with Xerces 3.0.1 and C++ on windows

    - by Jon
    Hi, i have the following function i wrote to create an XML file using Xerces 3.0.1, if i call this function with a filePath of "foo.xml" or "../foo.xml" it works great, but if i pass in "c:/foo.xml" then i get an exception on this line XMLFormatTarget *formatTarget = new LocalFileFormatTarget(targetPath); can someone explain why my code works for relative paths, but not absolute paths please? many thanks. const int ABSOLUTE_PATH_FILENAME_PREFIX_SIZE = 9; void OutputXML(xercesc::DOMDocument* pmyDOMDocument, std::string filePath) { //Return the first registered implementation that has the desired features. In this case, we are after a DOM implementation that has the LS feature... or Load/Save. • Javascript scope problem with object and setTimeout

    - by Shabbyrobe
    I'm trying to make a jQuery plugin that executes a method on a timer. I'd like it to work on multiple elements on a page independently. I've reached a point where the timer executes for each element, but the method called in the setTimeout seems to only know about the last instance of the plugin. I know I'm doing something fundamentally stupid here, but I'm danged if I know what. I know stuff like this has been asked 8 million times on here before, but I've not managed to find an answer that relates to my specific problem. Here's a script that demonstrates the structure of what I'm doing. <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var crap = 0; (function($) { jQuery.fn.pants = function(options) { var trousers = { id: null, current: 0, waitTimeMs: 1000, begin: function() { var d = new Date(); this.id = crap++; console.log(this.id); // do a bunch of stuff window.setTimeout(function(self) {return function() {self.next();}}(this), this.waitTimeMs); }, next: function() { this.current ++; console.log(this.id); window.setTimeout(function(self) {return function() {self.next();}}(this), this.waitTimeMs); }, }; options = options || {}; $.extend(trousers, options); this.each(function(index, element) { trousers.begin(); }); return this; }; } )(jQuery); jQuery(document).ready(function() { jQuery("div.wahey").pants(); }); </script> </head> <body> <div class="wahey"></div> <div class="wahey"></div> </body> </html> The output I get is this: 0 1 1 1 1 1 The output I expect to get is this: 0 1 0 1 0 1

  • AJAX XML reply node value iteration

    - by XpiritO
    Hi there, guys. I would really appreciate to get your help on this, as I can't seem to detect and solve the problem I'm having with an AJAX functionality on a site that I'm currently developing. I have a webform that makes an asynchronous call to a handler (.ashx) that delivers a XML response that is later processed by a Javascript client-side function that places it's contents into the user-interface. I'm attaching an example of the response generated by my handler, and what I would like to know is how can I get all the <body> element innerHTML (with the text and child nodes) contents to append it to a <span> element on the user-interface. Can anyone help me out with this? XML Response returned by the handler (checked via Firebug): <message> <content> <messageId>2</messageId> <from>Barack Obama</from> <fromMail>[email protected]</fromMail> <subject>Yes, we can... get World Peace</subject> <body>Hello, dear citizen. I'm sending you this message to invite you to join us! <a href="http://www.whitehouse.gov">Test link</a> Thank you for your time.</body> </content> </message> Client-side Javascript function to affect the user-interface innerHTML property with the data returned via AJAX: function GetMessageContentsCallback(args, resp) { //XML Parser try { //Internet Explorer xmlDoc = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM"); xmlDoc.async = "false"; xmlDoc.loadXML(resp); } catch (e) { parser = new DOMParser(); xmlDoc = parser.parseFromString(resp, "text/xml"); } var msgReply = xmlDoc.getElementsByTagName('message')[0]; var ajaxRespondeBodyInnerHTML = msgReply.getElementsByTagName(body)[0].firstChild.nodeValue; //this currently only delivers inner text content, without the <a href... bit and subsequent text document.getElementById("bodySpan").innerHTML = ajaxRespondeBodyInnerHTML; }

  • shipping and handling fee calculation

    - by Newb
    Here is the question: Many companies normally charge a shipping and handling fee for purchases. Create a Web page that allows a user to enter a purchase price into a text box - include a JavaScript function that calculates shipping and handling. Add functionality to the script that adds a minimum shipping and handling fee of $1.50 for any purchase that is less than or equal to $25.00. For any orders over $25.00, add 10% to the total purchase price for shipping and handling, but do not include the $1.50 minimum shipping and handling fee. After you determine the total cost of the order (purchase plus shipping and handling), display it in an alert dialog box. I am beginner at JavaScript and struggling to get my code to work. It does display an alert box with the value entered by the user but doesn't add anything. Although, I don't know why the formula doesn't work. Please help. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Calculating Shipping & Handling</title> <script type="text/javascript"> /* <![CDATA[ */ var price=[]; var shipping=[]; var total=price+shipping; function calculateShipping(){ if (price <= 25){ shipping = (price + 1.5); } else { shipping = (price * 10 / 100); } window.alert("The purchase price with shipping is " + document.calculate.ent.value); } /* ]]> */ </script> </head> <body> <form name ="calculate" action="" > <p>Enter Purchase Price</p> <input type="text" name="ent" > <input type="button" name="button" value="Submit" onClick="calculateShipping()" /> </form> </body> </html>

  • How do I get javascript-generated image maps to work with internet explorer?

    - by schwerwolf
    I'm using javascript to generate a high resolution grid for an image that I generated on a web server. The high-resolution grid is composed of a 'map' element with hundreds of 'area' child elements. Each 'area' element has onmouseover attribute that causes the display of a popup box. After assigning the map to the img (via the usemap attribute), Internet explorer ignores the 'onmouseover' attribute of the area elements that I added via javascript. The behavior is not caused by syntactical variations between IE and other browsers. A static map behaves correctly. Only the elements that I add dynamically to an existing image map fail to fire their corresponding mouse-over events. How can I get IE to fire the mouse-over event for the added 'area' elements? function generate_image_map ( img ) { var tile_width = 8; var tile_height = 10; var plotarea_left = 40; var plotarea_top = 45; var column_count = 100; var row_count = 120; var img_id = YAHOO.util.Dom.getAttribute(img, "id"); var img_map_id = YAHOO.util.Dom.getAttribute(img, "usemap"); var original_map = YAHOO.util.Selector.query(img_map_id)[0]; var area_nodes = YAHOO.util.Selector.query("area", original_map); var last_node = area_nodes[area_nodes.length - 1]; for (var y = 0; y < row_count; y++) { var top = Math.round(plotarea_top + (y * tile_height)); var bottom = Math.round(plotarea_top + (y * tile_height) + tile_height); for (var x = 0; x < column_count; x++) { var left = Math.round(plotarea_left + (x * tile_width)); var right = Math.round(plotarea_left + (x * tile_width) + tile_width); var area = document.createElement("area"); YAHOO.util.Dom.setAttribute(area, "shape", "rect"); YAHOO.util.Dom.setAttribute(area, "onmouseover", "alert('This does not appear in IE')" ); var coords = [ left, top, right, bottom ]; YAHOO.util.Dom.setAttribute(area, "coords", coords.join(",")); YAHOO.util.Dom.insertBefore(area, last_node); } } }

  • My form submit button is not showing correctly

    - by JackR
    I have created an form that submits the contents to email. I have used the exact same coding in many other websites, but for my new website http://www.peterevansfuneraldirectors.co.uk/contact-us.html the submit button is just a grey square with text, rather than the usual button. Also the hand doesn't come up on hover. My form code is... <form action="php/FormToEmail.php" method="post" name="ContactForm" id="ContactForm" onsubmit="MM_validateForm('name','','R','email','','RisEmail','message subject','','R','message','','R');return document.MM_returnValue" > <div class="form-text"> <b>Name<span class="purple">*</span></b><br /> <input name="name" type="text" id="name" size="35" style="height:23px; background-color:#FFF; color:#000; border: 1px solid #CCC;" /> </div><br /> <div class="form-text"> <b>Email<span class="purple">*</span></b><br /> <input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="35" style="height:23px; background-color:#FFF; color:#000; border: 1px solid #CCC;" /> </div><br /> <div class="form-text"> <b>Message Subject<span class="purple">*</span></b><br /> <input name="message subject" type="text" id="message subject" size="35" style="height:23px; background-color:#FFF; color:#000; border: 1px solid #CCC;" /> </div><br /> <div class="form-text"> <b>Message<span class="purple">*</span></b><br /> <textarea name="message" type="text" id="message" rows="8" cols="55" style="background-color:#FFF; color:#000; border: 1px solid #CCC;" ></textarea> </div><br /> <div class="submit-button"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" /> </div> </form> Thanks in advance!   • Tag Cloud JS + Flash. Not clickable?

    - by Alex
    Hello all, I've implemented a tag cloud on a site of mine, and I'm using a JS script to populate it, but for some reason, the actual text in the tag cloud is not clickable. It displays and works correctly, but the actual text of the cloud is not getting treated as a link for some odd reason. My question is: In my script below, do you see anything that I need to fix in order to make my tag cloud's text actually be links? The site I've implemented it on is a stackexhange site that I run, it is supposed to be a cloud of the "recent tags." CloudPopulator.js <script type="text/javascript"> var divRecentTags = document.getElementById("recent-tags"); if (divRecentTags) { var cloud = new SWFObject("https://kynetx-images.s3.amazonaws.com/tagcloud.swf", "tagcloudflash", "200", "200", "9", "#ffffff"); cloud.addParam("allowScriptAccess", "always"); cloud.addVariable("tcolor", "0x0a94d6"); cloud.addVariable("tcolor2", "0xC0C0C0"); cloud.addVariable("hicolor", "0x000000"); cloud.addVariable("tspeed", "150"); cloud.addVariable("distr", "true"); cloud.addVariable("mode", "tags"); var aTags = divRecentTags.getElementsByTagName("a"); var tagHtml = ""; for(var i = 0; i < aTags.length; i++) { var hrefText = aTags[i].getAttribute("href"); var cssText = aTags[i].className; var tagName = $(aTags[i]).text(); var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 8pt;\'"; if (cssText == "post-tag pop1") { var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 15pt;\'"; } else if (cssText == "post-tag pop2") { var styleText = "style=\'font-size: 22pt;\'"; } var newLinkText = "<a href=\'"+hrefText+"\'"+styleText+">"+tagName+"</a>"; tagHtml = tagHtml + newLinkText; } cloud.addVariable("tagcloud", escape("<tags>" + tagHtml + "</tags>")); cloud.write("recent-tags"); }

  • jQuery to hide and show divs with an indicator

    - by songdogtech
    Using the jQuery below to toggle the hiding and showing of divs of text: how would I add some sort of indicator - like an up and down arrow as a graphic - to the titles when the divs are either open and closed? What's the best way to do that? Two images? A CSS sprite? And most importantly: how would that be integrated into the JS? I've looked at other jQuery that assigns a random number to each div and then determines which are open and which are closed and toggles one of two images. But I'm using php in a WordPress loop to show a posts, and that gives problems with incrementing in the loop, so there must be an easier way that doesn't require changes in the name of the title div. Thanks.... This JS fires the showing and hiding. Each div can be expanded and collapsed independently. $(document).ready(function() { $('div.demo-show:eq(0)> div').hide(); $('div.demo-show:eq(0)> h3').click(function() { $(this).next().slideToggle('fast'); }); }); This is the HTML it works with: <div class="collapser"> <p class="title">Header-1 </p> <div class="contents">Lorem ipsum</div> <p class="title">Header-2</p> <div class="contents">Lorem ipsum </div> <p class="title">Header-3</p> <div class="contents">Lorem ipsum</div> </div> The CSS is arbitrary: .collapser { margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 500px; } .title { margin: 1px; color: #fff; padding: 3px 10px; cursor: pointer; position: relative; background-color:#c30; } .contents { padding: 5px 10px; background-color:#fafafa; }

  • div popup inside td

    - by sims
    I have a table with a bunch of cells. (No way! Amazing! :P) Some of the cells have a small div that when you put your mouse over, it gets bigger so you can read all the text. This works well and all. However, since html elements that come later in the document have a higher z-index, when the div gets bigger it is underneath the other divs in the other cells. Some html code: <table> <tr> <td> limited info <div style="position: relative;"> <div style="position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 1em; height: 1em;" onmouseover="tooltipshow(this)" onmouseout="tooltiphide(this)"> informative long text is here </div> </div> </td> <td> some short info <div style="position: relative;"> <div style="position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 1em; height: 1em;" onmouseover="tooltipshow(this)" onmouseout="tooltiphide(this)"> longer explanation about what is really going on that covers the div up there ^^^. darn! </div> </div> </td> </tr> </table> Some js code: function tooltipshow(obj) { obj.style.width = '30em'; obj.style.zIndex = '100'; } function tooltiphide(obj) { obj.style.width = '1em'; obj.style.zIndex = '20'; } It doesn't matter if I set z-index dynamically to something higher onmouseover. It's like z-index has no affect. I think it has something to do with the table. I've tested this in FF3. When I'm feeling particularly macho, I'll test it in IE.

  • jQuery Form plugin - no data from file upload?

    - by pojo
    I've been struggling a bit with the jQuery Form plugin. I want to create a file upload form that posts the data (JSON, from the chosen file) into a REST service exposed by a servlet. The URL for the POST is calculated from what the user chooses in a SELECT dropdown. When the upload is complete, I want to notify the user immediately, AJAX-style. The problem is that the POST header has a Content-Length of 0 and contains no data. I would appreciate any help! <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js">/* ppp */</script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.form.js">/* ppp */</script> <script type="text/javascript"> function cb_beforesubmit (arr, $form, options) { // This should override the form's action attribute options.url = "/rest/services/" + $('#selectedaction')[0].value; return true; } function cb_success (rt, st, xhr, wf) { $('#response').html(rt + '<br>' + st + '<br>' + xhr); } $(document).ready(function () { var options = { beforeSubmit: cb_beforesubmit, success: cb_success, dataType: 'json', contentType: 'application/json', method: 'POST', }; $('#myform').ajaxForm(options); $.getJSON('/rest/services', function (data, ts) { for (var property in data) { if (typeof property == 'string') { $('#selectedaction').append('<option>' + property + '</option>'); } } }); }); </script> </head> <body> <form id="myform" action="/rest/services/foo1" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <!-- The form does not seem to submit at all if I don't set action to a default value? !--> <select id="selectedaction"> <script type="text/javascript"> </script> </select> <input type="file" value="Choose"/> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> </form> <div id="response"> </div> </body> </html>

  • Alter highchart output to display start - end date

    - by php_d
    I currently have the following highchart which display a start date and outputs the values for the next 31 days of data. Does anyone know how I may improve on this to include and end date so that I can filter the data by smaller specific amounts? On the x-axis I am also trying to only display labels that have data attached to them and hide any others. Any help is appreciated. My code is as follows: <script type="text/javascript"> var chart; $(document).ready(function() { chart = new Highcharts.Chart({ chart: { renderTo: 'container', type: 'line', marginRight: 130, marginBottom: 25 }, title: { text: '<?php echo $type ?>', x: -20 //center }, xAxis: { categories: [ <?php $start = $_POST["dateStart"]; $dates = array(); for ($i = 0, $days = date('t', strtotime($start)); $i < $days; ++$i) { $dates[] = date('Y-m-d', strtotime($start . • Cloning a selector + all its children in jQuery?

    - by HipHop-opatamus
    I'm having trouble getting the following JQuery script to function properly - its functionality is as follows: 1) Hide the content below each headline 2) Upon clicking a headline, substitute the "#first-post" with the headline + the hidden content below the headline. I can only seem to get the script to clone the headline itself to #first-post, not the headline + the content beneath it. Any idea why? <HTML> <HEAD> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script> </HEAD> <script> $(document).ready( function(){ $('.title').siblings().hide(); $('.title').click( function() { $('#first-post').replaceWith($(this).closest(".comment").clone().attr('id','first-post')); $('html, body').animate({scrollTop:0}, 'fast'); return false; }); }); </script> <BODY> <div id="first-post"> <div class="content"><p>This is a test discussion topic</p> </div> </div> <div class="comment"> <h2 class="title"><a href="#1">1st Post</a></h2> <div class="content"> <p>this is 1st reply to the original post</p> </div> <div class="test">1st post second line</div> </div> <div class="comment"> <h2 class="title"><a href="#2">2nd Post</a></h2> <div class="content"> <p>this is 2nd reply to the original post</p> </div> <div class="test">2nd post second line</div> </div> </div> <div class="comment"> <h2 class="title"><a href="#3">3rd Post</a></h2> <div class="content"> <p>this is 3rd reply to the original post</p> </div> <div class="test">3rd post second line</div> </div> </div> </BODY> </HTML>

  • Loading Modules in Angular

    - by SL Dev
    I'm new to AngularJS. In my efforts to learn, I've relied on the AngularJS tutorials. Now, I'm trying to build an app using the AngularSeed project template. I'm trying to make my project as modular as possible. For that reason, my controllers are broken out into several files. Currently, I have the following: /app index.html login.html home.html javascript app.js loginCtrl.js homeCtrl.js my app.js file has the following: 'use strict'; var app = angular.module('site', ['ngRoute']); app.config(function($routeProvider, $locationProvider) { $locationProvider.html5Mode(true); $routeProvider.when('/login', {templateUrl: 'app/login.html', controller:'loginCtrl'}); $routeProvider.when('/home', {templateUrl: 'app/home.html', controller:'homeCtrl'}); $routeProvider.otherwise({redirectTo: '/login'}); }); my loginCtrl.js file is very basic at the moment. It only has: 'use strict'; app.controller('loginCtrl', function loginCtrl($scope) { } ); My homeCtrl.js is almost the same, except for the name. It looks like the following: 'use strict'; app.controller('homeCtrl', function homeCtrl($scope) { } ); My index.html file is the angularSeed index-async.html file. However, when I load the dependencies, I have the following: // load all of the dependencies asynchronously. $script([ 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.0-rc.3/angular.min.js', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.0-rc.3/angular-route.min.js', 'javascript/app.js', 'javascript/loginCtrl.js', 'javascript/homeCtrl.js' ], function() { // when all is done, execute bootstrap angular application angular.bootstrap(document, ['site']); }); My problem is, sometimes my app works and sometimes it doesn't. It's almost like something gets loaded before something else. Occasionally, I receive this error. Other times, I get an error in the console window that says: 'Uncaught ReferenceError: app is not defined' in loginCtrl.js. Sometimes it happens with homeCtrl.js. What am I doing wrong? It feels like I need to have my controllers in a module and pass that module in my app.config in the app.js file. However, a) I'm not sure if that allowed and b) I'm not sure how to do it.

  • Deserialization error in a new environment

    - by cerhart
    I have a web application that calls a third-party web service. When I run it locally, I have no problems, but when I move it to my production environment, I get the following error: There is an error in XML document (2, 428). Stack: at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(XmlReader xmlReader, String encodingStyle, XmlDeserializationEvents events) at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(XmlReader xmlReader, String encodingStyle) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at RMXClasses.RMXContactService.ContactService.getActiveSessions(String user, String pass) in C:\Users\hp\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\ReklamStore\RMXClasses\Web References\RMXContactService\Reference.cs:line 257 at I have used the same web config file from the production environment but it still works locally. My local machine is a running vista home edition and the production environment is windows server 2003. The application is written in asp.net 3.5, wierdly under the asp.net config tab in iis, 3.5 doesn't show up in the drop down list, although that version of the framework is installed. The error is not being thrown in my code, it happens during serialization. I called the method on the proxy, I have checked the arguments and they are OK. I have also logged the SOAP request and response, and they both look OK as well. I am really at a loss here. Any ideas? • ASP.Net MVC Ajax form with jQuery validation

    - by Tomas Lycken
    I have an MVC view with a form built with the Ajax.BeginForm() helper method, and I'm trying to validate user input with the jQuery Validation plugin. I get the plugin to highlight the inputs with invalid input data, but despite the invalid input the form is posted to the server. How do I stop this, and make sure that the data is only posted when the form validates? My code The form: <fieldset> <legend>leave a message</legend> <% using (Ajax.BeginForm("Post", new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "GBPostList", InsertionMode = InsertionMode.InsertBefore, OnSuccess = "getGbPostSuccess", OnFailure = "showFaliure" })) { %> <div class="column" style="width: 230px;"> <p> <label for="Post.Header"> Rubrik</label> <%= Html.TextBox("Post.Header", null, new { @style = "width: 200px;", @class="text required" }) %></p> <p> <label for="Post.Post"> Meddelande</label> <%= Html.TextArea("Post.Post", new { @style = "width: 230px; height: 120px;" }) %></p> </div> <p> <input type="submit" value="OK!" /></p> </fieldset> The JavaScript validation: $(document).ready(function() { // for highlight var elements = $("input[type!='submit'], textarea, select"); elements.focus(function() { $(this).parents('p').addClass('highlight'); }); elements.blur(function() { $(this).parents('p').removeClass('highlight'); }); // for validation $("form").validate(); }); EDIT: As I was getting downvotes for publishing follow-up problems and their solutions in answers, here is also the working validate method... function ajaxValidate() { return $('form').validate({ rules: { "Post.Header": { required: true }, "Post.Post": { required: true, minlength: 3 } }, messages: { "Post.Header": "Please enter a header", "Post.Post": { required: "Please enter a message", minlength: "Your message must be 3 characters long" } } }).form(); }

  • jQuery AJAX POST gives undefined index

I've copied this as is from an old version of the website, but I've changed the file structure (through to move to WordPress) so I suspect the variables might not even be reaching eventinfo.php in the first place... index.php is in wp-content/themes/cambridge and eventinfo.php is in wp-content/themes/yasmin/guestvibe but I've tried to avoid structuring issues by referencing the URL in full. Any ideas?
