  • Build & Deployment Guide for Service Bus Relay Project

    - by Michael Stephenson
Ive recently published a sample guide based on a real-world project where we implemented an on-premise WCF routing solution to connect SAAS applications to our on premise line of business applications. The guide will discuss: How we configured and setup the infrastructure How we setup the on-premise server to listen to the service bus What software we used How we configured Windows Azure This contains some useful contextual information around the reference scenario and hopefull this will be very useful to others undertaking similar projects. Ive also included this on the technet wiki page for Windows Azure Service Bus resources: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/13825.windows-azure-service-bus-resources.aspx

Can I have one!   And best of all, they finally released the Windows Phone 8 SDK. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35471 Off to sessions…   Stay tuned for more!

  • How to Build Links & Improve PageRank

Before we start talking about building links to improve Google PageRank, let's clear up any confusion - PageRank is a calculation of Google's estimate of the importance of a page, but it is not the same as where your page "ranks" in the organic results. It can be very confusing since the words are so similar. Try thinking of it this way: a page can rank in any of the search engines, but you can only have PageRank in Google.

  • Pin two shortcuts to same application with different settings to taskbar

    - by Dan Neely
I'd like to have two shortcuts to Visual Studio on my taskbar: one with default settings and a second modified to always run as admin. I know I can manually start a copy with admin rights by right clicking on the shortcut and then right clicking on the name of the application and selecting Run as administrator...; but I'd like to automate the process when I need it (without impeding my ability to start VS without admin rights when I don't need them).

I need to set the Network Proxy Settings to Direct Connection, for computers on our domain. • How to build completely modular web applications

    - by Webnet
In the coming months we're going to begin a project where we take a system we've built for a client (v1) and rebuild it from scratch. Our goal with v2 is to make it modular, so that this specific client will have their own set of modules they use, then another client may use a different set of modules altogether. The trick here is that Company A might have a series of checkout and user modules that change how that system works. Company B might stick with the standard checkout procedure but customize how products are browsed. What are some good approaches to application architecture when you're building an application from scratch that you want to have a Core that's shared among all clients while still maintaining the flexability for anything to be modified specifically for a client? I've seen CodeIgniter's hooks and don't think that's a good solution as we could end up with 250 hooks and it's still not flexible enough. What are some other solutions? Ideally we won't need to draw a line in the sand.
