  • Open Source multi-touch API's?

    I'm looking for a good open source multi-touch API to use in a project we might get. So far I've found PyMT, but haven't really seen any comments on the maturity of that product, so any input in that regard would be much appreciated. I'd also like some other suggestions on API's that might be of interest, since googling have only given so much, and as with PyMT, it is quite difficult finding opinions on the frameworks out there.     Im trying to use the Zend Frameworks ACL library in my code (in codeigniter) and after including the library in my controller I get this error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Zend_Acl in C:\xampp\php\PEAR\Zend\Acl.php on line 48 If I remove the include to the Zend library I get this error instead Fatal error: Class 'Zend_Acl' not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\ISU-Cart\system\application\libraries\acl.php on line 3 Any help on this?

We're about to start making some fairly large scale changes to the site, and we're enamored with the rapid application development speeds allowed by some other frameworks, like Rails.     There are lots of articles and discussions about the differences between ASP.NET WebForms and ASP.NET MVC that compare the relative merits of the two frameworks. I have a different question for anyone who has experience using WebForms that has since moved to MVC: What is the number one thing that WebForms had, that MVC doesn't, that you really miss? Edit No-one has mentioned the WebForms validation controls. I am now working on some code that has a few dependant validation rules and implementing client-side validation for these is proving slow.

  • What's the right way to communicate between 2 or more .Net applications running on a same computer w

    If my applications run on a same computer or even on different computers in a same LAN and need intense and quick communication, it seems illogical for me to use text-encoded web services and HTTP. I could possibly use IP/TCP/UDP sockets and invent my own protocols, but believe there is a standard way for .Net applications to send/receive object instances (and, maybe, even sharing an object by reference?). Can you tell me what's that standard way? I am only interested in .Net Framework 4 applications and don't need to support legacy frameworks.

["foo"]\n (with newline, Content-Length=8) ["foo"] (no newline, Content-Length=7) For easy regression testing I like the form with the newline, but I want to make sure I won't be breaking any application frameworks that might have a more strict view of the REST format.

    Hi I am writing a web app (mainly iphone targeted) where the user has to enter their dob as part of the log in, I need this to be <input type = 'password'however I also want to enable the numeric section of the keyboard. I would usually change the type attr to 'number' however as this needs to be hidden I wondered if there was another way to activate the numeric pad Cheers! (ps I do not want to use any frameworks such as jquery on this)

But perhaps too general and feature-rich... multiple inheritance, operator overloading, manual memory management, templates, smart pointers, virtual destructors, legacy frameworks (think MFC), and I could just go on. I love the possibility to return a response, and still being able to do further operations. e.g. def view(request): do_something() return HttpResponse() do_more_stuff() #not possible!!!     Google App Engine provides a image API for storing / retrieving images. We are currently not in a position to deploy our application on top of App Engine because of limitations in the java frameworks (jboss seam 2.2.0) we are using to build our j2ee application. We would eventually want to deploy our production application on top of Google App Engine, but what are the short term options (java based open source products) which provides comparable functionality to Google App Engine's Image API and will have an easier migration path at a later point in time.

  • best option to create simple website mockup with navigation
