  • Logical equality in C

    [It seems odd this doesn't exist, so apologies in advance if it's a duplicate] I want to test for logical equality in C. In other words, I want to know whether two values would be equal if both were converted in the normal way associated with logical expressions. In C99, I think that (bool)a == (bool)b gives what I want. Is that correct? What is the normal way of writing this in traditional C?

  • Continuous Form, how to add/update records with external connection

    EDIT After some more research I found that I cannot use a continuous form with an unbound form since it can only reference a single record at a time. Given that I've altered my question... I have a sample form that pulls out data to enter into a table as an intermediary. Initially the form is unbound and I open connections to two main recordsets. I set the listbox's recordset equal to one of them and the forms recordset equal to the other. The problem is that I cannot add records or update existing ones. Attempting to key into the fields does nothing almost as if the field was locked (Which it is not). Settings of the recordsets are OpenKeyset and LockPessimistic. Tables are not linked, they come from an outside access database seperate from this project and must remain that way. I am using an adodb connection to get the data. Could the separation of the data from the project be causing this?   • Building a QueryExpression where name field is either A or B

    I'm trying to build a Dynamics CRM 4 query so that I can get calendar events that are named either "Event A" or "Event B". A QueryByAttribute doesn't seem to do the job as I cannot specify a condition where the field called "event_name" = "Event A" of "event_name" = "Event B". When using the QueryExpression, I've found the FilterExpression applies to the Referencing Entity. I don't know if the FilterExpression can be used on the Referenced Entity at all. The example below is something like what I want to achieve, though this would return an empty result set as it will go looking in the entity called "my_event_response" for a "name" attribute. It's starting to look like I will need to run several queries to get this but this is less efficient than if I can submit it all at once.     I have properties called reel1, reel2, reel3, and reel4. How can I dynamically reference these properties by just passing an integer (1-4) to my method? Specifically, I am looking for how to get an object reference without knowing the name of the object. In Javascript, I would do: temp = eval("reel" + tempInt); and temp would be equal to reel1, the object. Can't seem to figure this simple concept out in C#.

    According to Tomcat docs: The maximum size in bytes of the POST which will be handled by the container FORM URL parameter parsing. The limit can be disabled by setting this attribute to a value less than or equal to 0. If not specified, this attribute is set to 2097152 (2 megabytes). But what's "the container FORM URL parameter parsing"? Any ideas what is the purpose of "maxPostSize"? Thanks in advance.
