  I'm working on a ASP.NET (C#) site that pulls most of its data from Dynamics CRM over SOAP using Microsoft's CrmService SDK. I'm at the point where a query has returned an entity with a property of the type Customer. I need to get the name string of that customer record, but cannot figure out how to do so. By doing a little guess work I figured out that what I have is GUID for the customer. How can I use this GUID to get the customer's name as a string? • Problem with autocommit in ANT SQL task

  I have an SQL script and want to apply it witn ANT task. This script clears out schema, creates new tables and views. The ANT defined task as follows: <sql driver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" url="jdbc:mysql://host:3306/smth" userid="smth" password="smth" expandProperties="false" autocommit="true" src="all.sql" > </sql> When this task launches, it shows in log that tables are cleared and created. But when it tries to create first view, it fails with: Failed to execute: CREATE VIEW component... AS SELECT component_raw.id AS MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'component_raw' doesn't exist I have no idea why it fails here. Running this all.sql from MySQL query browser gives no errors. When I launched ANT with -v option, I didn't see any "COMMIT" messages.. Please, help to resolve the problem.

• I need to know what link is clicked, how do i get these variables with cherrypy?

  Lets say I display 3 links, I want to accomplish 2 things, know which link is clicked, and record this choice in a list/pickle or txt file but also capture this variable in cherrypy so I can perform another action. How do I do this? Its been suggested that I use a query string which makes sense but I can't get the querystring variable to cherrypy to use for further actions. So would anyone have a simple code of cherrypy with lets say 2 pages and have one page display 2 links with a querystring in each and the second page able to get that value?

  i have a problem with mysql query, and can't get it done in any way. I already checked the other topics, but can't get any of the solutions to work in my case. I have 2 tables, one is users id, name, email.... and second for friends is named friends :) user1_id, user2_id now i need to get from the database all of the user info for friends of my friends, and next level friends, the Friend of my of my Friends of my Friends, those should be 2 separate queries. Of course the search should exclude me, and be distinct. Please help.

  Using MongoDB C# driver (http://github.com/samus/mongodb-csharp), seems that I'm unable to get the data by ObjectId. Below the command that I'm using: var spec = new Document { { "_id", id } }; var doc = mc.FindOne(spec); I also tried this: var spec = new Document { { "_id", "ObjectId(\"" + id + "\")" } }; var doc = mc.FindOne(spec); Both return nothing. Meanwhile, if I query it from the mongo console, it returns the expected result. My question is, does that driver actually support the lookup by ObjectId? Thanks..

  I have two tables as defined below: EMAILS ID SUBJECT BODY 1 Test1 blah blah 2 Test2 blah blah blah 3 Test3 more blah ATTACHMENTS ID EMAIL_ID ATTACHMENT NAME 1 2 TEST.DOC 2 2 TEST.XLS I'm trying to perform a select to get back all of the emails and a count of how many attachments (if any) for each row in the EMAILS table -- preferably in a single query where the results would resemble something like: EMAIL_ID SUBJECT NUM_ATTACHMENTS BODY 1 Test1 0 blah blah 2 Test2 2 blah blah blah 3 Test3 0 more blah I've tried everything but the "right way" and if anyone has a few minutes to help me create the right SQL to build this, I'd greatly appreciate it. • Odd GROUP BY output DB2 - Results not as expected

  If I run the following query: select load_cyc_num , crnt_dnlq_age_cde , sum(cc_min_pymt_amt) as min_pymt , sum(ec_tot_bal) as budget , case when ec_tot_bal 0 then 'Y' else 'N' end as budget , case when ac_stat_cde in ('A0P','A1P','ARP','A3P') then 'Y' else 'N' end as arngmnt , sum(sn_close_bal) as st_bal from statements where (sn_close_bal 0 or ec_tot_bal 0) and load_cyc_num in (200911) group by load_cyc_num , crnt_dnlq_age_cde , case when ec_tot_bal 0 then 'Y' else 'N' end , case when ac_stat_cde in ('A0P','A1P','ARP','A3P') then 'Y' else 'N' end then I get the correct "BUDGET" grouping, but not the correct "ARRANGEMENT" grouping, only two rows have a "Y". If I change the order of the case statements in the GROUP BY, then I get the correct grouping (full Y-N breakdown for both columns). Am I missing something obvious?

I have on my data base for example Customers and those customers has an assigned Vendor: Customers(customerID, customerName, customerAddress, vendorID) Vendors(vendorID, vendorName, vendorAddress) Now suppose my Vendor logs into my web application and wants to see all his customers: a) Should I use my Datalayer method and there find his customers on the query? b) Should the data layer return all the customers and on the Buissnes Layer filter that vendor ones?   Hi, I am trying to update a replica list on a Exchange 2003 public folder. I am using the WMI namespace exchange_publicfolder to try and add an Exchange server (using the servers DN) to the AddReplica procedure. Every time I run this I get an invalid parameter as an exception. Below is the code that I am using to do this. • Cross Domain Post - Losing POST Data

  I have 2 servers, both running R2 / IIS7 / ASP Classic sites (can't get around any of that) Server A is making the follow calls: Dim objXMLHTTP, xml Set xml = Server.CreateObject("Msxml2.ServerXmlHTTP.6.0") xml.Open "POST", templateName, false xml.setRequestHeader "Content-Type", "application/xml" xml.Send variables Where the templateName is the URL of Server B (It's an email template) ... and variables are a name value pair string like a query string password=myPassword&customerEmail=Dear+Bob,.... Server B receives the POST but all the POST data (password=myPassword&customerEmail=Dear+Bob,....) is missing from the POST password = Request.Form("templatePassword") customerEmail = Request.Form("RackAttackCustomerEmail") The above values are all empty. Here's the kicker. This all worked on our old servers (Windows Server 2003, IIS 6) But when we migrated over, this stopped working correctly. My question is: What would cause the POST data to be dropped in IIS 7 when it all worked in IIS 6? I've done about 3 days of research into this trying many different things and nothing has worked. The POST data is just gone.

  I’d like to list all the people ( Person table ) that don’t live in same city as those cities listed in Location table. Thus, if Location table holds a record with City=’New York’ and State=’Moon’, but Person table holds a record with FirstName=’Someone’, City=’New York’ and Location=’Mars’, then Someone is listed in the resulting set, since she lives in New York located on Mars and not New York located on Moon, thus we’re talking about different cities with the same name. • Trying to recognize _NSFaultingMutableSet as member of NSSet

  I'm trying to recognize the result of a generic query to a managed object as an NSSet. Currently the class returned is a member of _NSFaultingMutableSet, which is clearly related, but fails the isMemberOf:[NSSet class] and isKindOf:[NSSet class] calls. Given that Cocoa doesn't do a direct implementation of NSSet, it's not surprising that I've got some air in the pipes, but I'm wondering if I'm messing something obvious up or this requires a higher grade of kung-fu than I possess. Right now, I have this, which works: <%= link_to 'Edit', :edit, :type => 'book', :id => book %> The above works, and outputs: http://localhost:3000/books/edit/1?type=book What I want to do is something like this: <% link_to :edit, :type => 'book', :id => book do %> ... <% end %> But the above format outputs: http://localhost:3000/books/edit/ Which isn't what I'm looking for... I want it to output a URL like the previous example. How can I achieve this?

  Right now I am planning to add a filter system to my site. Examples: (ID=apple, COLOR=red, TASTE=sweet, ORIGIN=US) (ID=mango, COLOR=yellow, TASTE=sweet, ORIGIN=MEXICO) (ID=banana, COLOR=yellow, TASTE=bitter-sweet, ORIGIN=US) so now I am interested in doing the following: SELECT ID FROM thisTable WHERE COLOR='yellow' AND TASTE='SWEET' But my problem is I am doing this for multiple categories in my site, and the columns are NOT consistent. (like if the table is for handphones, then it will be BRAND, 3G-ENABLED, PRICE, COLOR, WAVELENGTH, etc) how could I design a general schema that allows this? Right now I am planning on doing: table(ID, KEY, VALUE) This allows arbitary number of columns, but for the query, I am using SELECT ID FROM table WHERE (KEY=X1 AND VALUE=V1) AND (KEY=X2 AND VALUE=V2), .. which returns an empty set. Can someone recommend a good solution to this? Note that the number of columns WILL change regularly

  Is there a way to reverse the SQL Like operator so it searches a field backwards? For example, I have a value in a field that looks like this "Xbox 360 Video Game". If I write a query like below, it returns the result fine. SELECT id FROM table WHERE title like "%Xbox%Game%" However, when I search like this, it doesn't find any results. SELECT id FROM table WHERE title like "%Video%Xbox%" I need it to match in any direction. How can I get around this?

  I use an API that expects a SQL string. I take a user input, escape it and pass it along to the API. The user input is quiet simple. It asks for column values. Like so: string name = userInput.Value; Then I construct a SQL query: string sql = string.Format("SELECT * FROM SOME_TABLE WHERE Name = '{0}'", name.replace("'", "''")); Is this safe enough? If it isn't, is there a simple library function that make column values safe: string sql = string.Format("SELECT * FROM SOME_TABLE WHERE Name = '{0}'", SqlSafeColumnValue(name)); The API uses SQLServer as the database.   Hello All, Would like to know how the scheduler gets called so that it can switch tasks. As in even if its preemptive scheduling or round robin scheduling - the scheduler should come in to picture to do any kind of task switching. Supposing a low priority task has an infinite loop - when does the scheduler intervene and switch to a higher priority task? Query is: 1. Who calls the scheduler? [in VxWorks] 2.
