    I recently watched a youtube video where a guy got a camera to recognize when a rubik's cube was held up to it, and it captured the 9 square color combination before snapping a picture of the cube and displaying the 3x3 grid on the screen of his computer. What kind of programming is this and where would I start reading to get into this sort of thing? specifically, controlling a camera, and getting it to pick out certain parts of an image and translate that data.

  • iPhone apps for company-internal use - possible?

    I hope this is still programming related, as SuperUser doesn't seem the appropriate place. Basically I wonder if it is possible to have Applications that are internal to a company on the iPhone? That is something like a companion Application to an Intranet (when Safari and Mail just don't cut it) which wouldn't make sense on the AppStore (and likely wouldn't get approved anyway). Is something like that possible (without Jailbreaking or doing anything else that Apple doesn't normally want)?

  • How to make a database service in Netbeans 6.5 to connect to SQLite databases?

    I use Netbeans IDE (6.5) and I have a SQLite 2.x database. I installed a JDBC SQLite driver from zentus.com and added a new driver in Nebeans services panel. Then tried to connect to my database file from Services Databases using this URL for my database: jdbc:sqlite:/home/farzad/netbeans/myproject/mydb.sqlite but it fails to connect.     Hi, My team and I are programming a sort of Document Manager and the idea is to store them completely on DB. Is there a protocol or Extensions that allows us to show a "Virtual Directory" or files that are really non existent (only in DB). How does Sharepoint do this? I understand that Sharepoint uses WebDav but it implies that the files do exist physically somewhere. We intend to develop this application on .NET 4.0 and deploy it on IIS. Any suggestions?
