  • Java library suggestions for implementing a custom web server

    I would like to create a web server that will serve/accept json files through REST. The JSON files being served will come from a database query and format the results into JSON. Any suggestions for a good java library. I have tried using Apache HTTPComponents. While maybe I can just create a servlet but I am not really allowed to install a servlet container in the server machine.

That's pretty much if you consider deploying this package to a remote Jboss server and possibly redeploying it package many times during your regular work. Lib files like richfaces and jsf-facelet make the lion's share of that EAR size. Why can't we just extract lib files into jboss-web.deployer directory on JBoss 4.2.0 GA server?

Is it possible to combine the three(one directory and two files) as a continuous file writing and decompose it at another side to save the cost? I am limited to c language and Unix/Linux.     We have a lot of MATLAB code in my lab. The problem is there's really no way to organize it. Since all the functions have to be in the same folder to be called (or you have to add a bunch of folders to MATLAB's path environment variable), it seems that we're doomed have loads of files in the same folder, all in the global namespace. Is there a better way to organize our files and functions? I really wish there were some sort of module system...

    Hi I would like to zip a bunch of files (.exe and .dll) before I overwrite them with the new build. Is there a simple way to zip files without using some sort of dll? Just creating a folder with the build number / date time stamp will also work great. How do I pass parameters from the cruise control build process into my Powershell script that will do the work then? Is this a sustainable way to do things? Thanks

  • How do I get Composer to download the latest commit in the master branch from GitHub for a package?

    I am trying to get Composer do download the latest commit for the Behat/MinkSelenium2Driver package. That particular repo only has a master branch. I have tried every method I can think of, including deleting the files and letting it pull them back in, to get it to work but it doesn't. How would I get it to pull in latest committed files or at least those from the commit I list below?
