    Hi, While web development/design, I found coding it self is not enough to develop an attractive website so i have urge to learn photoshop.. i want to know what can be the best way to learn photoshop (preferably Photoshop CS4 Extended) mainly for website design. I experienced web tutorials are not enough for effectively learning computer languages, but not sure about photoshop coz it is a different job.. please recommend me a book / web tutorial for learning Photoshop.

  • How to remove one folder from C:\Windows\winsxs?

    Hello, I've installed: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) and got the following folders: x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.21022.8_none_bcb86ed6ac711f91 x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.4926_none_508ed732bcbc0e5a I allready uninstalled the redistribute package but they continue overthere. I want to remove them because I want to test my program without installing nothing (I've included those dll's when building it in another computer). So, how can I remove those folders from C:\Windows\winsxs? Thanks in advance :D

  • OpenCL C/C++ dynamic binding library (win32 and more)

    I'm giving a try at OpenCL, and in order to put this in production I'd like to be able to bind dynamically to OpenCL.DLL (when under Windows), in order to handle 'gracefully' the case where no OpenCL is installed on the host computer. Is there any available library (or code snippet) that takes care of this dynamic binding in C or C++, much like GLEW does for OpenGL ? I'd like to avoid the hassle to do it myself. Thanks,

    Hi Experts, Who can help me with this: I am working on Win7 x64, with VS.net 2008. I am developping for pocketpc. When my application is deployed to the device emulator it can't connect to my computer / db server. Both de emulator as well the mobile device center are configured to use DMA. When I cradle the device using device manager, nothing happens. What can I try? Greets, Jasper

    Using [NSScreen screens] I'm able to get all of the screens attached to the computer and their sizes, however I'm trying to find out their positions relative to each other (like in Arrangement in the Display preferences).     Hey there I'm working on a browser-game and I can't help but wonder about what's the lightest way to make the grid/board on which the game takes place. Right now, as a mere sample, I'll show you this: http://sotkra.com/game/ Now, as the grid gets bigger and bigger, the table and its td's create a very heavy filepage which in turn...sucks in more resources from the browser engine and computer. I want to add another language to my repertoire and have gotten conflicting advice: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, among others. I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the relative value of each of these languages in the job market, the ease of learning of each of the languages, and just personal preferences when it comes to the languages mentioned above.     I'm using the windows search 4.0 service (wssql) to find some files, it works fine on my computer but on our server which has two drives C: and D: always returns 0 rows when searching D: Also i'm not sure if it's related but cd d: goes back to c: in the command prompt.

    Currently I have two versions of rack installed on my computer 1.0.1 and 1.2.1 However, when I tried to push my git to Heroku, it complains You have already activated rack 1.0.1, but your Gemfile requires rack 1.2.1. Consider using bundle exec. (Gem::LoadError) How can I deactivate rack 1.0.1 and activate 1.2.1 instead? (I can't uninstall 1.0.1 since it's under system folder and I don't have the root password)

    I've noticed that the brightness of computer monitors drastically varies between computers. As such, this changes the look of web pages greatly. Is there a way to use JavaScript to automatically detect how bright (or dark) a users monitor is so that I can adjust my web page colors accordingly? UPDATE Please note that I do not want manual user involvement. I want this detection to be automatic so that users don't realize I dynamically change the color palette automatically based on the brightness/darkness of their monitor.
