  • Why is the form action attribute empty on production server?

    After deploying a ASP.NET WebForms application to a production server some of the ajax calls has stopped working for me. After some debugging I found out that the following statement (in the internal client-method WebForm_DoCallback) was causing the problem: xmlRequest.open("POST", action, true); The problem seemed to be that the action-variable was empty so after checking the rendered html I found out that the form-tag rendered on the production server looks like: <form method="post" action="" id="Form1"> However, on my developer machine I get the following: <form method="post" action="default.aspx" id="Form1"> So, why would the action-attibute render on my dev.machine but not on the production server? This seems to be the case only for one specific web form, when I look on other pages the action-attribute renders correctly. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful!

    Hi, MSDN states that it is possible in .NET to capture the output of a process and display it in the console window at the same time. Normally when you set StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true; the console window stays blank. As the MSDN site doesn't provide a sample for this I was wondering if anyone would have a sample or could point me to a sample? When a Process writes text to its standard stream, that text is normally displayed on the console. By redirecting the StandardOutput stream, you can manipulate or suppress the output of a process. For example, you can filter the text, format it differently, or write the output to both the console and a designated log file. MSDN This post is similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/786726/capture-standard-output-and-still-display-it-in-the-console-window by the way.     I was thinking of implementing real time chat using a PHP backend, but I ran across this comment on a site discussing comet: My understanding is that PHP is a terrible language for Comet, because Comet requires you to keep a persistent connection open to each browser client. Using mod_php this means tying up an Apache child full-time for each client which doesn’t scale at all. The people I know doing Comet stuff are mostly using Twisted Python which is designed to handle hundreds or thousands of simultaneous connections. Is this true? Or is it something that can be configured around?

  • Unable to save to wincache from cakePHP shell

    I'm trying to retrieve the weather from wunderground.com through their API, and store it in wincache. For testing purposes I made this function in the News model: public function updateWeather(){ $results = file_get_contents('http://api.wunderground.com/api/**api_key**/conditions/q/CA/Montreal.json'); $results = json_decode($results); return Cache::write('weather', $results); } It works fine when I call this from the controller. However, I can't figure why that same function doesn't work when called from the console. I made this shell in order to eventually add this to windows task scheduler. class WeatherShell extends AppShell { public $uses = array('News'); public function main() { $this->News->updateWeather(); } } When running this, I see that $results is correctly populated. I get 'true' from Cache::write(), however, I get 'false' when trying to read. What subtlety am I missing?

    Ok, I am trying to place parameters into a function that is called like so: $parameters['function']($parameters['params']); Here is the function and the parameters that I need to be placed into this: $parameters['function'] = 'test_error'; $parameters['params'] = array(0 => $txt['sometext'], 1 => 'critical', 2 => true); The test_error function takes 3 parameters: The error to output The type of error noted within a string value ('general', 'critical', etc. etc.). Whether it should be echoed or not. Here is the output I get: Here is a test error.ArraycriticalArray1 I know this function works perfect, but it only gives me the 1st parameter returned from it. What am I doing wrong here with the $parameters['params']??

  • vim command to restructure/force text to 80 columns

    I know there are ways to automatically set the width of text in vim using set textwidth (like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/235439/vim-80-column-layout-concerns). What I am looking for is something similar to = (the indent line command) but to wrap to 80. The use case is sometimes you edit text with textwidth and after joining lines or deleting/adding text it comes out poorly wrapped. Ideally, this command would completely reorganize the lines I select and chop off long lines while adding to short ones. An example: long line is long! short After running the command (assuming the wrap was 13 cols): long line is long! short If this isn't possible with a true vim command, perhaps there is a command-line program which does this that I can pipe the input to?

    Hi guys I'm working with Zend framework and just hate the fact that I seem to encounter hundreds of exception errors like if I try to reference a non existant property of an object my application just dies and crashes. However I have no idea where to see these errors or how to be able to display them on screen. I've set display errors to true and error reporting to E_ALL but when an error is thrown all I see is a blank page rendered only until a bit before where the error apparently occurred or the exception was thrown. Help please my debugging hours are dragging

    Hi, I'm performing a little database optimisation at the moment and would like to set the column lengths in my table through JPA. So far I have no problem setting the String (varchar) lengths using JPA as follows: @Column(unique=true, nullable=false, length=99) public String getEmail() { return email; } However, when I want to do the same for a column which is of type Long (bigint), it doesn't work. For example, if I write: @Id @Column(length=7) @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) public Long getId() { return id; } The column size is still set as the default of 20.     Hi I have the following PHP code doing a very simple select into a table. $statement = $db->prepare("SELECT * FROM account WHERE fbid = :fbid"); $statement->bindParam(":fbid",$uid, PDO::PARAM_STR,45); $out = $statement->execute(); $row = $statement->fetch(); $out is true (success) yet $row is null. If I modify the code as follows: $statement = $db->prepare("SELECT * FROM account WHERE fbid = $uid"); $out = $statement->execute(); $row = $statement->fetch(); $row contains the record I'm expecting. I'm at a loss. I'm using the PDO::prepare(), bindParams() etc to protect against SQL Injection (maybe I'm mistaken on that). Please halp.

But Problem i am facing is: New Document library are not visible in site. I tried with comparing Field Value of Both Visible and No-Visible Document library. Difference i found is : Visible Library (Created Manually) doesn't contain Version value. were as it it present in library which are created by this code. Can you help me out in this?

  • why egrep's stdout did not go through pipe?

    Hi, i got a weird problem regarding egrep and pipe I tried to filter a stream containing some lines who start with a topic name, such as "TICK:this is a tick message\n" When I try to use egrep to filter it : ./stream_generator | egrep 'TICK' | ./topic_processor It seems that the topic_processor never receives any messages However, when i use the following python script: ./stream_generator | python filter.py --topics TICK | ./topic_processor everything looks to be fine. I guess there need to be a 'flush' mechanism for egrep as well, is this correct? Can anyone here give me a clue?   • Changing the colour of Aero glass for my window?

    I'm using DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea in my WPF application to get the glass effect. This is working fine. What I'd like to do is change the colour used for the glass -- I'm writing a countdown timer, and I'd like the window to be the normal glass colour most of the time, and then to go red (but still with glass) when the time runs out. I found this question, which talks about how to apply a gradient glass, and that works fine when picking a different colour. Unfortunately, the borders are not coloured appropriately. When I turn off the borders by using ResizeMode="NoResize", then I end up with square corners. I'd like to keep the rounded corners. I looked at creating an irregularly-shaped window, by using AllowTransparency="True" and that works fine, but doesn't look like an Aero glass window. It looks a bit flat. So: my question: how do I create a window in WPF that looks like Aero glass transparency, but uses a different colour?
