  • Importing wikipedia database dumb - kills navicat - anyone got any ideas?

    Ok guys I've downloaded the wikipedia xml dump and its a whopping 12 GB of data :\ for one table and I wanted to import it into mysql databse on my localhost - however its a humongous file 12GB and obviously navicats taking its sweet time in importing it or its more likely its hanged :(. Is there a way to include this dump or atleast partially at most you know bit by bit. Let me correct that its 21 GB of data - not that it helps :\ - does any one have any idea of importing humongous files like this into MySQL database.

    My script fetches xml via httpConnection and saves to persistent store. No problems there. Then I loop through the saved data to compose a list of image url's to fetch via queue.   • Getting data from array of DataSet objects returned from web service

    I have a web service that I want to access when it is added as a web reference to my C# project. A particular method in the web service takes a SQL query string and returns the results of the query as a custom type. When I add the web service reference, the method shows up as returning DataSet[] instead of the custom type. This is fine provided I can still somehow access the data returned from the query within those DataSet objects. I ran a particular query that should return 6 rows; I got back a DataSet[] array with 6 elements. However, when I iterate over those DataSet objects, none of them has any tables (via the Tables property on the DataSet). What gives? Where is my data? The web service is tested and works when I use it as a data source in a Report Builder 2.0 report. I am able to send an XML SOAP query to the web service and get back XML results containing my data.

  • JSP Document/JSPX: what determines how tabs/space/linebreaks are removed in the output?

    I've got a "JSP Document" ("JSP in XML") nicely formatted and when the webpage is generated and sent to the user, some linebreaks are removed. Now the really weird part: apparently the "main" .jsp always gets all its linebreak removed but for any subsequent .jsp included from the main .jsp, linebreaks seems to be randomly removed (some are there, others aren't). For example, if I'm looking at the webpage served from Firefox and ask to "view source", I get to see what is generated. So, what determines when/how linebreaks are kept/removed? This is just an example I made up... Can you force a .jsp to serve this: <body><div id="page"><div id="header"><div class="title">... or this: <body> <div id="page"> <div id="header"> <div class="title">... ? I take it that linebreaks are removed to save on bandwidth, but what if I want to keep them? And what if I want to keep the same XML indentation as in my .jsp file? Is this doable? EDIT Following skaffman's advice, I took a look at the generated .java files and the "main" one doesn't have lots of out.write but not a single one writing tabs nor newlines. Contrary to that file, all the ones that I'm including from that main .jsp have lots of lines like: out.write("\t...\n"); So I guess my question stays exactly the same: what determines how tabs/space/linebreaks are included/removed in the output?

    Hi, in Java I think it is possible to cruise through jar files like they were not compressed. Is there some similar (and portable) thing in C/C++ ? I would like to import binary data into memory from a large (zipped or similar) file without decompressing to disk first and afterwards writing to disk in a compressed way. Maybe some trick with shell pipes and the zip utility?

  • viewstack causing error 1065 variable not defined issue?

    I've got an flex application where I have a left side TREE control and a viewstack on the right and when someone selects the tree it loads the named viewstack based on the hidden node value of the XML of the tree. But it's throwing a error 1065 variable not defined on a viewstack which worked on the last browser refresh/reload. It's not related to a particular viewstack from what I can tell it just seems to throw the error on certain render events.     Hi, I making a game leaderboard on facebook. I'm not using connect but working inside the canvas. When I try to load the images from facebook it gives me the following error. SecurityError: Error #2122: Security sandbox violation: Loader.content: http://test cannot access http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/v22941/254/15/q652310588_2173.jpg A policy file is required, but the checkPolicyFile flag was not set when this media was loaded.     Following instructions from the two sites below, I've installed tomcat6 and solr 1.4 http://gist.github.com/204638 https://wiki.fourkitchens.com/display/TECH/Solr+1.4+on+Ubuntu+9.10+and+CentOS+5 I have successfully got it up and running on a server running 9.04 with multicore support, but on the 10.04 I can't seem to get it to work.   • Specific programming text editor for simple open/close editing

    I'm looking for very specific text editor: Closes on ESC, no project management or tabs Syntax highlighting - preferably with color themes (e.g. can apply different color themes without changing C# coloring definition) or, at least, can load/save themes; support for C/C#/XML/HTML/JavaScript/etc - common MS/.NET world - out of box Configurable keys, or: Shift-Tab shifts blocks XML/HTML auto-completion support - well, optional I use synplus plugin for Total Commander currently, but it has few drawbacks (e.g. crashes sometimes ;-), no auto-completion, etc). Basically I want fast Visual-Studio-like editor that I open, do edits, and then close using ESC. I remember I tried Notepad++, etc - most of them open files in tabs, don't close on ESC... - that is, behave like IDE. At least I've just downloaded Notepad++, it doesn't close on ESC even if I setup keybindings to do so. Autocompletion is optional (though it is to be simple as just tags completion), what I really look for is closing on ESC, not getting in the way with all the tabs and IDE-like, and good coloring. Plus shift-tab is must have for blocks manipulation. Update: any open-source one that I can easily tweak to close on ESC? ;-) Seems like ESC (and reasonable color highlighting) is the core requirement. I've just tried many editors - Programmer's Notepad, E, Crimson, etc - I can't set any of them to close on ESC. Any external tool to close selected program on ESC? ;-) UPDATE: Hm, found an awesome utility for my latest thought: http://www.autohotkey.com. Easy to setup to close any window on ESC (as well as many other tricks). Seems like the most tough requirements is gone - I can use ANY text editor ;-)

When an interface extends TheWidgetView.MyStyle, the of the widget consumer needs to define all the styles listed in that parent interface. I've seen some widget libraries have the widget's constructor take in a ClientBundle as parameter, which I suppose could apply to CssResource.   • Vista 64-bits development tools

    Well, okay. There's Visual Studio 2008 and Embarcadero Delphi/Studio that are both able to create 64-bits .NET applications for Vista. And of course a lot of 32-bits applications will run on 64-bits Vista. If not, it's always possible to install VMWare to create a virtual 32-bits Windows XP system to run 32-bits applications. So, plenty of options. But what I would like to see is a list of true 64-bits applications for Windows Vista and better. So if you know any useful 64-bits product, please share! (Especially compilers that generate native 64-bits code.) Tools would basically be anything that would make development a bit easier. Thus, debugging tools, image processing tools to create icons and bitmaps, hex editors to check the contents of binary files, XML editors to change XML files, etc. The tools from SysInternals, for example, seem to provide 64-bits versions or even support 64-bits systems natively. But how about all those other editors, viewers, browsers and other tools that we developers like to use? A 64-bits version of the Norton Commander/Midnight Commander or other file managers would be nice too. And with compilers, how about COBOL/ForTran/ADA/SmallTalk/Lisp/Whatever compiler/languages for Vista? I would just like to see a complete list of anything useful for 64-bits development.

  • Glassfish: Defining Custom JNDI Names for Session Beans

    Background: Want to use GF3 in development, where as actual SIT, UAT, and production is using WAS. Problem: With the remote session beans everything is good to go, as GF3 gives a non-standard JNDI name, which is same as what WAS suggests, i.e. an absolute class name. Now for the local session beans WAS use the same absolute class name but with the prefix, i.e. ejblocal:. Whereas GF3 doesn't give any non-standard JNDI name for local session beans. GF3 came up with only portable name, java:global/..I need to find a way so I can use the same names for both. I am using EJB 3.0, WAS 7.9, and Glassfish 3. Don't have any xml confiuration for ejbs. Using Spring to inject the bean in Struts2 actions. With remote interfaces both servers are okay and agreed on a single convention, but for locals they differ. Is there any solution for this? Or just sun-ejb-jar.xml will solve it? Thanks.

    I have an xml-like text, in which I would like to find the item that occurs in the first occurrence of a certain pattern: typically: ... <PropertyGroup><name>true</name></PropertyGroup><PropertyGroup>.... .... Could also be ... <PropertyGroup> <name> true</name> </PropertyGroup> ... <PropertyGroup> ... In the above, I need to extract the "name". My initial assumption was that all occurrences were to be in one line, and I wrote my code using string properties, but it is very difficult o take in consideration every possibility, and only RegEx can save me. I just don't know how to write it... I Have started with something like this: Regex regex = new Regex("(?<=<PropertyGroup>#)<+"); Match matches = regex.Matches(Text)[0]; MessageBox.Show(matches.ToString()); I think this finds the first item after a <PropertyGroup>, but I don't know how to make it get the item within the angular brackets... (which may be after one or more newlines, and/or spaces). I know that there are utilities for parsing xml, but I am looking for something simple to insert in a c# program Can someone please help me ?     I am importing SSIS packages to SQL Server 2008 that were originally built for SQL Server 2005. I upgraded them in VS2008 and them imported them. They all import and work except for the one with the Konesans File system Watcher task. I installed in the setup exe for Konesans File system Watcher SQL Server 2008 on my dev pc and the production server, but still get this error: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0010026 (Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap) Any advice?

    I'm trying to use .net SOAP web service with ksoap2 lib. Example from http://www.vimeo.com/9633556 shows how to do it correct. Below the code from that example. everything shoud work ok, but when I try to do a call inself (httpTransport.call) I get "Permission denied (maybe missing INTERNET permission)" exception. Moreover, I don't see in the Application info window among permissions the internet permission alert. Tried this on emulator and Google phone. Will be very appreciated if somebody could help with it. I am posting an xml query from Fiddler and i receive the result without any problem. BUT i have done an integration test for the same interface, i send the same objects and i put the response like: final MultipartOutput multiPartOutput = getClient().query(getUserRestAuth(), 0, 25, null, null, null, instanceQuery); But here, so from integration tests, i receive a strange error: Unable to find a MessageBodyReader of content-type multipart/mixed;boundary="74c5b6b4-e820-452d-abea-4c56ffb514bb" and type class org.jboss.resteasy.plugins.providers.multipart.MultipartOutput Anyone has any ideea why only in integration tests i receive this error? PS: Some of you will say that i do not send application/xml as ContentType but multipart, which of course is false because the objects are annotated with the required @XmlRootElement etc, otherways neither the POST from Fiddler would work.
