• How do you implement file drag-and-drop upload in Google Chrome?

  I've found several tutorials online about implementing file drag/drop with Firefox 3.6 (they involve using a FileReader object to get the file binary data). However, I cannot create a FileReader object in Chrome on Windows or Mac. Does anyone know what the API is to read and manipulate data from a drag-and-dropped file in Chrome? If I can get the binary data of the file, I already have the rest of the code to perform the upload. Note: I've also tried using the getAsBinary() function call on the file object of the drag event (event.dataTransfer.file) but I believe that is a Mozilla-specific function and not implemented in Chrome. Also, I'm not interested in a solution using google gears or one that requires a user to select files from a dialog. I'm specifically trying to implement a drag-and-drop file upload.

  MSTest produces an XML file with a .trx extension containing test results. If I have a .trx file on a machine without Visual Studio installed, I get prompted to "Use the Web Service..." or "Select from a list...", which is expected. If I have a .trx file on my development machine and I open it, it opens in Visual Studio, which is expected. If I click a link on a web page or in an email which gets a .trx file from my build server, it ALWAYS opens the XML in IE. How do I configure IE (or IIS on the build server) to open the remote .trx file in Visual Studio, if it's installed, or prompt if it's not? UPDATE: If I rename the .trx file on the server and give it various extensions (eg. .bmp, .msi, .txt, .zip), it still opens as XML in IE, so it's clearly going by the content of the file and not the declared MIME type.

  This may seam a newbie question but it is not.   I am trying to use c# in .net to run dos commands to ftp a a file. Technically, it calls a BAT file which calls a CMD file which executes the DOS code. It was up to the CMD file. The CMD fiel will work if I hardcode the path, but I need to dynamically specify the path of the file.   I would like to create a zip archive from a folder and keep entries for (non-empty) directories. In the code below, FileInputStream throws a FileNotFoundException when a directory is passed to AddToZip. I have tried to put a condition around the actual writing of bytes but it makes the whole archive invalid.   I have a piece of code on 1 drupal site to create a node another drupal site in a multi-site setup. It looks like I'm getting the sessionid and logging in just fine, but when trying to create a "page" node, I get "Access denied". Under Services - Settings I have "Key Authentication", "Use keys" is unchecked, and "Use sessid" is checked. • iPhone - Failed to save the videos metadata to the filesystem.

  My application uses the UIImagePicker to allow the user to use the camera and capture a photo to edit/etc. I am getting the error message below: 2010-02-03 10:41:24.018 LivingRoom[5333:5303] Failed to save the videos metadata to the filesystem. Maybe the information did not conform to a plist. Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. A search in Google brings up a number of threads in various forums, with no ultimate response/root cause/suggestions on how to fix/debug. An example is the thread below with code which is very similar to my app: http://groups.google.com/group/iphonesdkdevelopment/browse_thread/thread/6b7b396c62bef398 The error disappears for a while (10 tests in a row, no errors) if I reboot the iPhone. I have not been able to determine what makes it reoccur after a reboot, but it does. I am not using the video source and the fact that a reboot solves the problem for a while points to some sort of mem leak (perhaps?). The problem always shows up on both the iPhone (even after the reboot) and the simulator when choosing a photo from the album, but the app does not crash on the iPhone or the simulator. The same app with exact code did not have the error message when compiled using SDK 3.0 (last August/September). But 3.1.x has always produced the error message, which means that once a week or so the iPhone needs to be rebooted for the error to disappear. The users are not happy with that solution any longer!! Any suggestion/clues would be greatly appreciated.

  I thought the task should be fairly easy, but my understanding of javac and java in general is rather poor. I am using Windows8 and would like to compile a single file.java that makes use of other classes. I successfully (at least without any warnings) compiled my file by calling: javac -cp relative_path_to_needed_classes relative_path_to_file_java\file.java Now if I want to run the result of compilation (file.class) by calling: java -cp relative_path_to_needed_classes relative_path_to_file_java\file I get: Error: Could not find or load main class relative_path_to_file_java\file I was trying a lot of combination to modify the -cp (eg. by adding .\;relative_path_to_file;) but still the closest where I get is: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : relative_path_to_file\file (wrong name: file) The file from (wrong name: file) is the name of the file and the name of the public class within the file. I was reading a lot on SO and other sources but could not figure out what is wrong. Btw. as a result of compilation some other classes were created: file$1.class file$name1.class file$name2.class (where name1 and name2 are names of private classes within file.java) My questions are: What is (the most) probably source of my error / what am I doing wrong? What is the purpose of file$1.class? What is the minimum I should specify in -cp? May encoding play any role? Do every java class have to reside in a package? (rather not directly related to my issue) Do order of paths specified in -cp play any role in runtime?

  I am implementing an application using ember.js and couchdb. I choose ember-resource as database access layer because it nicely supports nested JSON documents. Since couchdb uses the attribute _rev for optimistic locking in every document, this attribute has to be updated in my application after saving the data to the couchdb. My idea to implement this is to reload the data right after saving to the database and get the new _rev back with the rest of the document.   im trying to save to my data base a long text (about 2500 chars) input by my users using a web form and passed to the server using php. When i look in phpmyadmin, the text gets crop. How can i config my table in order to get the complete text?   I have implemented the Ajax Autocomplete feature in my application using a web service file that querys my database and it works great. One problem I am having is allowing the user to see the item's name, as that's what they are typing in the textbox, but when they select it, it saves the item's ID number instead of the actual name. I want it to behave much like a dropdown list, where I can specify what is seen and entered vs. what is actually saved in the database (in this case, the product ID instead of it's name.)   I am doing this as a small project to learn about disconnected and connected models in .NET 4.0 and SQL Server 2008 R2. I have three tables: Companies (PK CompanyID) Addresses (PK AddressID, FK CompanyID) ContactPersons (PK ContactPersonID, FK CompanyID) CompanyID is assigned manually by the users. The other IDs are auto-generated. Companies has a one-to-many relationship with ContactPerson. I have set any changes to cascade. I display all records in Companies in a DataGridView and when a row is clicked, the corresponding records in ContactPersons are displayed in a second DataGridView. I have successfully implemented updating and inserting new records but I completely fail in my attempts to delete rows and save the changes to the database. I us a typed dataset. If I use this: DataRow[] contactPersonRows = m_SoldaCompaniesFileDataSet.ContactPersons.Select("ContactPersonID = " + this.m_CurrentContactPerson.ContactPersonID); m_SoldaCompaniesFileDataSet.ContactPersons.Rows.Remove(contactPersonRows[0]); The records are displayed properly in the DataGridView but are not saved in the database later. If I use this: DataRow row = m_SoldaCompaniesFileDataSet.ContactPersons.Rows.Find(this.m_CurrentContactPerson.ContactPersonID); row.Delete(); The records are set but I get an exeception: DeletedRowInaccessibleException, when I try to refresh the DataGridView. The exception pop-s up in the auto-generated dataset.design file. I am pretty much stuck at this point since yesterday. I cannot find anything anywhere that remotely resembles my problem. And I cannot understand actually what is going on.

• Listening Port Permanently. if file is on my stream, Get file. How to?

  i writed 2 client and server program. client dend file also server listen port and than get file.But i need My server App must listen on 51124 port permanently. if any file on my stream, show my message "there is a file on your stream" and than show me savefile dialog.
