Hi,
I am software developer and I want to continue my career as business analyst.
How can I be a good business analyst and how can I improve my analysis skills?
Thanks
I am working on Silverlight 3.0 and currently using code-behind in my Views. I would like to implement the MV(VM) pattern into my project as the project is growing. I have seen some WPF projects where the code-behind has NO CODE except for the InitializeComponent method, which I believe is the right way to go and just looks clean. Is this possible in Silverlight 3.0, that is, no code-behind?
Can anyone point me to some good Silverlight (3.0) MV(VM) tutorials / articles?
Is it possible to develop java me applications on linux? It appears that there is no linux version of the sdk. Otherwise what would you suggest as a good language to develop mobile applications?
Please recommend a good library to:
1)Programmatically convert any doc to pdf (word, spreadsheet, presentation, images, html, postscript)
2)Programmatically merge multiple pdf’s to a single pdf (ideally, word_doc1+ ppt_doc2 = out.pdf , in one step)
From .NET/c# app
Thanks
Are there any good C++ libraries that can be used to visualize a graph of objects that have been instantiated and have random connections to each other? I would also need it to be able to be updated in real-time so that the graph was constantly updated.
I sweated over the question above. The answer I'm going to supply took me a while to piece together, but it still seems hopelessly primitive and hacky compared to what one could do were completion to be redesigned to be less staticky. I'm almost afraid to ask if there's some good reason that completion logic seems to be completely divorced from the program it's completing for.
Is there any good reason why most rails developers use observe_field when they want trigger specific action when text input box is changed, rather then using onkeydown? I would expect, that in most of the cases using observe_field results much more code generated than just using native hook onkeydown.
I tried this sample here:

After a few minutes, Firefox slows down so much I can't even popup any menu. When I closed the tab, Firefox comes back to normal again.
So is HTML 5 really a good choice now ?
Does anyone know a complete JSF 2.0 sample or open source application using JSF 2.0 features (Facelets, Composite Component, Templates, Ajax, Navigation, etc.). Would be a good reference to learn some best practices. I'm talking about an application that you would also use in production. The only ones I know are ScrumToys and PetCatalog which are delivered with NetBeans 6.9 and are "tutorial-like" applications.
I'm working with big blobs of JSON. These blobs change slightly over time and a revision history is kept. I'd really like to be able to do a visual diff on them, but my problem is they're being stored without any formatting at all - everything is on one line, so that makes it a little hard to see what changed.
Is there a good way to programatically format them ala http://jsonformat.com/ or http://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/?

I'm writing a websercive in C# that will generate pdf-files and send back to the caller as a byte[]. The pdf file is generated using a third party component, but I'm struggling with the conversion. The pdf is just an in-memory object in the web service, and I can't find any good way of converting the generated pdf to a byte[] before returning it to the caller. Any advice on this?

I'd like to see if anyone out there can steer me in the right direction for linking up a Silverlight project with an MVC2 one. I know how to get it started but how do I get the .xap to show in the View? Looking for a good tutorial or blog?
Hello,

I am creating a client server application and I will need to implement some callback functions.
However, I am not too experienced in callbacks. And I am wondering if anyone knowns some good reference material to follow when designing callbacks. Is there any design patterns that are used for c. I did look at some patterns but there where all c++.
Many thanks for any suggestions,
Perl 6 seems to have an explosion of equality operators. What is =:=? What's the difference between leg and cmp? Or eqv and ===?
Does anyone have a good summary?
Hows does Drupal 6 interact with MySQL for connections and transactions? Does connection pooling get used? How are transactions handled? At what level are these things managed by Drupal vs being handed off to be handled by MySQL?
I did a good amount of searching on the web and within Stack Overflow, but mainly, I only found articles for tweaking Drupal performance and scaling needs.
I can't find any good documentation on what the concept of a Class Loader is in the .NET Framework? What is it? Where can it be found? Does anyone know?
I have a form in Swing with a lot of textfields receiving data. The idea is when a button is clicked, the app gathers all the data from the textfields at once. Do you know a good practice for this? Or is it necessary to gather the data textfield by textfield?
I am starting a project with Grails since I already use Eclipse, it was my first choice. But I don´t think its good enough, had some problems and the plugging is poor in functionalities.
