• ListView and undeterminate ProgressBar

  Sorry for the question it might sounds stupid, But: how do you activate a ProgressBar according to the cell you just cliked on ? I have a list view, with a menu that shows after a long press. When I click on one of my option I would like to display the ProgressBar in the listView according to the cell I clicked on. • Graphics/Bitmap Limits?

  Im having some weird problems with Graphics and Bitmap. I have a Graphics Object that is displayed on a PictureBox and im capturing the MouseMove and MouseClick Events that give X and Y Position of the Mouse on the Image but if the Y Position goes Bigger then 32775 it then goes into Negatives which means everything breaks. And if the Image is Bigger then 65535 it then stops displaying the Image. Any Ideas how these problems can be fixed? • Lazy Tables app from iphone

  I am new to iphone development. I have parsed a youtube file and displaying its contents with the image in the table view. But the scrolling has become slower because of displaying image.So i want to display the image as the lazy tables program from apple docs.Since they have used navigation based application , their rootviewcontroller loads first and then the delegate class call the parsing ,and when they reload the table view, the contents are displayed. The data array count shows 25. I am using a view controller to display the tables on the present modal view, more over when i run my application, first delegate methods call the parsing. So when i click the youtube icon in my landing page it navigates to table view. So by this time data array count shows 0. I have created table view in interface builder and set the outlets to the file owner properly. Please help me out. I want to increasing the scrolling performance. Thanks.

I'd like to be able to label them A, B, C, D, etc so that I can list out locations & addresses in sidebar. How would I do this? • iOS 5 fixed positioning and virtual keyboard

  I have a mobile website which has a div pinned to the bottom of the screen via position:fixed. All works fine in iOS 5 (I'm testing on an iPod Touch) until I'm on a page with a form. When I tap into an input field and the virtual keyboard appears, suddenly the fixed position of my div is lost. The div now scrolls with the page as long as the keyboard is visible. Once I click Done to close the keyboard, the div reverts to its position at the bottom of the screen and obeys the position:fixed rule. Has anyone else experienced this sort of behavior? Is this expected? Thanks.

• AJAX Beginner: If then statement

  In menu.html, I have my menu items(a href links), let's call them, menu_1, menu_2, .... In map.js displays the contents of a map, it calls an API to display some layers and maps. I have a lot of maps to show but i only want to call the api once. Using AJAX, I was wondering if it's possible to have an if/then or select/case in my js, so that if menu_1 is clicked, then implement map_1 etc. without having the page to reload. The only way I thought I could do this is using Post/get .. so when you click on menu_1 it takes you to page.php?page_id=1 . JS will read that and display the map. I'm new to JS and AJAX so please feel free to butcher me

• How to get Screen Shot / Screen Capture from Web user on MVC site?

  I've seen a few different apps that allow users to take screen shots on their PC and then the utility will automatically upload the image to the web server. I'd like to incorporate this type of functionality into a new MVC site. I could certainly just allow the user to upload their own image, but it'd be cleaner if they could click Capture Screen Shot and the image would be uploaded automatically. My team is using ASP.NET MVC2 with a SQL back end database. We are certainly willing to look into 3rd party components (activeX based, etc.) that will allow us to achieve this.

• Adding data (not only text) to a multi column ListView (WPF)

  I am working on a WPF application in C# (.NET 4.0) where I have a ListView with a GridView that has two columns. I dynamically want to add rows (in code). My dilemma is that only the first column will have regular text added to it. The second column will have an object that includes a multi column Grid with TextBlocks. (see link http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/803/listview.png/) If I do what you would normally do when you want to enter text in all columns (ie. DisplayMemberBinding) all I get in the second column is the text "System.Windows.Grid", which obviously isn't what I want. For reference if I just try to add the Grid object (with the TextBlocks) with the code listView1.Items.Add(grid1) (not using DisplayMemberBinding) the object gets added to the second column only (with the first column being blank) and not how it normally works with text where the same text ends up in all columns. I hope my question is detailed enough and any help with this would be much appreciated. EDIT: I have tried the following code, howeever every time I click the button to add a new row every single row gets updated with the same datatemplate. • Rails, using jQuery without jrails

  Hello all, I have been trying to convert my rails 2.2.2 app over to jQuery, and would like so without using jrails. The only reference material I can find on the subject is Railscasts Episode 136. Ryan goes over how to use jQuery to post a form and handle the response in a .js.erb file. My questions is has anyone tried to use jQuery with .js.erb files with anchors as the trigger? As a replacement for "link_to_remote". I have gotten jQuery to do a .get to submit this link on click to the controller, but I cannot seem to get it to go into the .js.erb file. Thanks

• How can I create a new email account in Java?

  I am able to send and receive emails from my JSPs and associated Java code using the Java Mail API (javax.mail.*). Now I would like to create a new POP3 email account programmatically when a user registers for my site. I've found surprisingly little information about this with web searches. I would think it would be a somewhat common problem. It appears that the Java Mail API does not provide any assistance in this area. I have many email accounts available under my godaddy account, and to manually create an account, I just go to the godaddy email control panel, click Add, and specify the email address and password. This is exactly what I would like to do via a Java program. Any ideas?

  Sorry for the question marks, but a simple (I think) question has an impossible solution. From file system, if I click on an image file "Properties | Details tab" I access to many metadata. I need to access from a WPF application to the Description properties (Title, Subject, Rating, Tag and Comment). In particular Tag. I have found a lot of articles, many are very old. A few in WPF and Imaging library. But no one access to that properties. So the question marks: are these properties on image? On file system? I think they are on the image..I don0t undestand where are these properties and why is so difficult to access... Can someone help me? Thanks in advance, Marco Parenzan

• Javascript debugging: stopping/breaking at every javascript invocation

  I am dealing with a complex legacy javascript code base, and it's difficult to figure out where to put breakpoint (I have to find the files, put a breakpoint in firebug etc). Is there a way so that Firebug breaks on the first javascript execution that it encounters every time? In other words, every time I click on something on the page, and if a javascript code is executed, I want Firebug to break on that line? Of course I don't want Firebug to stop when it executes it's internal javascript. Is this possible?

• eclipse CDT - Cannot open .gcda files

  I am developing a coverage data tool in eclipse cdt. I used gcov and build and execute my C program to generate .gcda and .gcno files. When double click on .gcda file to see the coverage data, below error message displays. An error has occurred. See error log for more details. org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils.utils.STSymbolManager.demangle(Lorg/eclipse/cdt/core/IBinaryParser$IBinaryObject;Ljava/lang/String;Lorg/eclipse/core/resources/IProject;)Ljava/lang/String; But I already downloaded and save org.eclipse.linuxtools.binutils_4.0.0.201209191645.jar into plugins directory. • Gson module not found Blackberry Java application

  Hi. I'm developing a simple application for Blackberry and i'm using Google's gson to retrieve some data from a server. The UI was working fine but when I added the gson part it started failing, it wont run. When I run the application in the simulator it show this error: "Uncaught: RuntimeException" on that annoying white screen of death and after holding the click button I can see that there is an alert dialog that says "Module 'gson-1.4' not found". However I did added "gson-1.4.jar" in the Project's Properties - Java Build Path - Add External JARs... also, the Gson objects are recognized at my code, no syntax errors at my code. BTW, I'm using Eclipse and the most recent Blackberry SDK Please help

  I've always wondered the best way to automate use of a GUI in windows. When I was about 15, I wrote a little application that used some simple windows api functions to automatically click on certain locations on the screen based on a script. This could be used to automate GUI apps, but surely it's not the best way. So, my question is: What's the best way to automate use of a GUI in windows? Are there certain windows API functions that would be beneficial? If the program were to crash, how could you detect that? Thanks!

• google oauth doesn't redirect to callback after authorization

  I can't seem to get google to redirect to the callback url after obtaining the auth token. By redirecting the user to the following url, the user can click grant or deny access. After that the user clicks on one of the choices, the user is not redirected back to the callback url. https://www.google.com/accounts/OAuthAuthorizeToken?oauth_token=4%2F5ETLZ84rGmRxE_yx0b-_IFDReUxe&oauth_callback=http://blahblahblah.com/user_sessions/create&oauth_version=1.0&hd=default I'm wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be. Also does google require I use something like openssl.

• How do I get meaningful error messages in IIS7?

  I have a classic ASP website that is crashing in IIS7. It is crashing because IIS doesn't allow file uploads greater than a certain size. I know this because files below about 200k work fine. I removed the Status Code 500 error in IIS but I still don't get a file name and the line where my code failed as I do when running locally. Instead I get: "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error." How do I get a file name and the line where my code failed? Here are my IIS settings:

• iui transition moving in wrong direction

  i am using iUI to build a native looking web app for iDevices. whenever i click a link with an href of #something that leads to another div on my page, the transition effect moves (correctly) as if the page were sliding in from the right like it does on any other iDevice app. a portion of my app requires an indefinite number of sub pages though, so i generate them on the fly, assign them and id, and set the window location to something like myip/mobile/#_newdiv. this causes the transition effect to move in the wrong direction though (as if the page were sliding in from the LEFT, opposite native iDevices). is there any way to fix this?

• Setting a breakpoint in a T4 template

  I'm trying to debug the execution of a T4 template in Visual Studio 2008. All the information I'm finding on debugging T4 templates in Visual Studio 2008 say that you can set a breakpoint (red dot) in the template as if it were a regular code file. I have the Clarius T4 code highlighter installed, so my T4 template is colored, but I can't set a breakpoint. When I click in the margin nothing happens. I've tried Debugger.Break(), and it launches a new instance of VS.NET, but it can't load the code from my template. I get a dialog that says "There is no source code available for the current location." This happens if I have the same project loaded in the another instance of if I spin up a new instance. What gives?

  My friends and I are starting a game like Pokemon and we wanted to know how will we add monsters to the game? We're using VisualBasic because my friend's brother said it would be easier. So far we can put pictures of the monsters on the screen and you can click to attack and stuff. Right now when we want to add a monster we have to make a new window. This will take us a long time to make all the windows for each type of monster. Is there a tool or something to make this go faster? How do game companies do this?
