Editing a BrowserField's History

I have a BrowserField in my app, which works great. It intercept NavigationRequests to links on my website which go to external sites, and brings up a new windows to display those in the regular Browser, which also works great. The problem I have is that if a user clicks a link to say "www.google.com", my app opens that up in a new browser, but also logs it into the BrowserHistory. So if they click back, away from google, they arrive back at my app, but then if they hit back again, the BrowserHistory would land them on the same page they were on (Because going back from Google doesn't move back in the history) I've tried to find a way to edit the BrowserField's BrowserHistory, but this doesn't seem possible. Short of creating my own class for logging the browsing history, is there anything I can do? If I didn't do a good job explaining the problem, don't hesitate for clarification. Thanks

double vision screen after installing ubuntu

I'm not much of a techie but my friend who is a software engineer suggested I download ubuntu after my Windows computer was not connecting to certain Wi-Fi networks ( including the one at my house). He said it may be because of the drivers. I did download ubuntu but now the home screen is totally off center.Any ideas? Step by step instructions would be awesome since I'm not super great at this! Active Directory public key use

I have a client who has a requirement to validate users logging into my web application against his active directory using LDAP. In trying to connect using the DirectoryEntry and DirectorySearcher .NET classes, I can connect to his AD Server but not access it. The client's AD server has an SSL Certificate for which he has given me a public key file but I don't know how to use this public key file in my C# code. When I issue the connect command through code, I see, via Wireshark, my application sending the connection request. I then see the server responding with "Server Hello, Certificate, Certificate Request, Server Hello Done". Then my application never responds after that. In using another application, written by somebody else for which I do not have code, I see the same request from the server and then see the application respond with "Certificate, Client Key Exchange" and then the application connects and runs. With that said, my question then becomes, how can I get my C# application to load and send the key file I got from the client?

Setting up a SQL server outside the domain

Hi, im very new to this. I've set up an account "SQLBOX" thats on the a network, but not connected to the domain. I have installed an instance of SQL Server 2008 and am trying to connect to it from another machine on the network but am getting "Cannot connect to "SQLBOX"". From the "SQLBOX" i can connect to sqlservers on the domain, but not vice-versa. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if the description isn't great. EDIT I can ping the box from a machine on the domain

Aspect Oriented Programming Library/Framework for Actionscript 3?

I'm looking for a full featured AOP Library for Actionscript 3. The following projects I noticed so far, but they all seem to have their problems: - http://farmcode.org/page/Sodality.aspx (looks most promising so far, however it requires you to create a whole new class for every AOP "call" I believe, and it forces you to follow quite a lot of restrictions, anyone has experience with it? - http://code.google.com/p/loom-as3/ (this one is discontinued) - http://code.google.com/p/floxy/ (dynamic proxy generation? this isn't really AOP as I know it, right?) - http://code.google.com/p/flemit/ (dynamic byte code generation? this is something AOP needs I think, but not the full featured AOP framework I am looking for) Does anyone know of a better solution? Android webview cookie problem

I have a video link in a web view, on the emulator, I hear the audio and no video is displayed. I think this is an emulator issue. I tried on my Nexus One, when I click the link, it opens a new webview and tries to access the server almost immediately reverts back to the webview and does not show the video. Logcat says: WARN/ResponseProcessCookies(486): Cookie rejected: "BasicClientCookie[version=0,name=GX,domain=mail.google.com,path=/proxy/gmail/mail,expiry=Tue Mar 22 19:55:33 EDT 2011]". Illegal domain attribute "mail.google.com". Domain of origin: "android.clients.google.com" How can I fix this?

tiny mce sql error when adding links

I am using tiny mce with a script I built for uploading some content to a blog like system. Whenever I add a link via tiny mce I get this error. Reading data from a socket

I am having issues reading data from a socket. Supposedly, there is a server socket that is waiting for clients to connect. When I write a client to connect() to the server socket/port, it appears that I am connected. But when I try to read() data that the server is supposedly writing on the socket, the read() function hangs until the server app is stopped. Why would a read() call ever hang if the socket is connected? I believe that I am not ever really connected to the socket/port but I can't prove it, b/c the connect() call did not return an error. The read() call is not returning an error either, it is just never returning at all.

Building Cocoa UIs for OS X with C# and Mono

Has anyone spent any time comparing the various Objective C bridges and associated Cocoa wrappers for Mono? I want to port an existing C# application to run on OS X. Ideally I'd run the application on Mono, and build a native Cocoa UI for it. I'm wondering which bridge would be the best choice. 5 ways to stop code thrashing…

A few days ago I was programming on a personal project and hit a roadblock. I was applying the MVVM pattern and for some reason my view model was not updating the view when the state changed??? I had applied this pattern many times before and had never had this problem. It just didn’t make sense. So what did I do… I did what anyone would have done in my situation and looked to pass the blame to someone or something else. I tried to blame one of the inherited base classes, but it looked fine, then to Visual Studio, but it seemed to be fine and eventually to any random segment of code I came across. My elementary problem had now mushroomed into one that had lost any logical basis and I was in thrashing mode! So what to do when you begin to thrash? 1) Do a general code cleanup – Now there is a difference between cleaning code and changing code . When you thrash you change code and you want to avoid this. What you really want to do is things like rename variables to have better meaning and go over your comments. 2) Do a proof of concept – if cleaning code doesn’t help. The you want to isolate the problem and identify the key concepts. When you isolate code you ideally want it to be in a totally separate project with as little complexity as possible. Make the building blocks and try and replicate the functionality that you are getting in your current application. 3) Phone a friend – I have found speaking to someone else about the problem generally helps me solve any thrashing issues I am having. Usually they don’t even have to say anything to solve the problem, just you talking them through the problem helps you get clarity of mind. 4) Let the dust settle – Sometimes time is the best solution. I have had a few problems that no matter who I discussed them with and no matter how much code cleaning I had done I just couldn’t seem to fix it. My brain just seemed to be going in circles. A good nights rest has always helped and often just the break away from the problem has helped me find a solution. 5) Stack overflow it – So similar to phone a friend. I am really surprised to see what a melting pot stack overflow has been and what a help it has been in solving technology specific problems. Just be considerate to those using the site and explain clearly exactly what problem you are having and the technologies you are using or else you will probably not get any useful help…

Rails messing up with HTTP POST Params

Weird Rails URL issue when rendering a new action

I am rendering a new action but somehow getting the "index" URL. To be more specific, my create action looks like this: class ListingsController < ApplicationController def create @listing = Listing.new(params[:listing]) @listing.user = @current_user if @listing.save redirect_to @listing else flash[:error] = "There were errors" render :action => "new" end end end When there are errors, I get the "new" action but my URL is the index URL - http://domain.com/listings Anyone know why this would happen? Recognition source of event in PyQT

Hi, I`m starting with PyQt4 and right now I have a problem with events. I have one main class let say MainWindow. MainWindow has a list of buttons of type ButtonX (inherence form QPushButton). I would like to achieve one of 2 solutions (depends which is easier). 1) After click one of the button from the list I would like to run a one method of MainWindow. I would like to be able to read a source of event there (recognize clicked button) 2) Second solution is to run a method defined in ButtonX class. Device Emulator Mananger and ActiveSync

I use Device Emulator Manager to fire up my Windows Mobile 5 Emulator. I then right click on the device (in the Device Emulator Manager list) and select cradle. ActiveSync then ties to connect. After a few seconds I get this message: Then if I open up the connection options and press connect: Then it works just fine. So, my question is, how can I get it to connect every time. Right as I cradle. I do this enough times that it is annoying to have the extra step. Has anyone ever been able to figure this out? (Does anyone have this problem too?) FYI My co-workers have the same issue Connecting a real device does not have this issue (It is just when I use an emulator)

Excel File opened under Ubuntu, read by R, OpenOffice

I have a bunch of Excel files which are updated on a daily basis on a Windows machine. I transfer them to a Ubuntu machine and want to open them there. Specifically, I want to read the files as a database under R. A couple years ago, I used ODBC under a Windows machine to open Excel files through R. Is there any way, I can do this with R under Ubuntu? I could make a database .ODB file for the corresponding XLS files using OpenOffice, but I don't know of a way to connect to a .ODB database. OpenOffice seems to have ways to connect TO databases, but no way to connect to ODB. Thanks for any potential solutions.
