I think the error has to be in a incompatibility with IE8 and the cookies
manipulation, cuz in IE8 you can see the password and login asking screen but when you enter the data and send it the browser seems to do nothing, this is a url you were you can try my code: http://200.8.27.127/tiempo/teacher.php

try the code firts with Firefox or google chrome, then try in IE8.
