• JSF html component on WebSphere 7.0

  We are in the process of upgrading to WebSphere 7.0 on Windows 2008 R2. Our applications currently run on WebSphere 6.1 on Windows 2003. We use custom controls we wrote using JSF 1.1 in our applications. What I want would be for them to be rendered, and the remaining row (the product-specific columns) to be empty. Is there a way to do this? Note: I have also tried nested rich:datatables, but the internal columns do not overlap with the outer columns containing the header. With rich:subtable the inner columns overlap with the outer columns and show nice.

• Getting types of the attributes in an ActiveRecord object

  I would like to know if it is possible to get the types (as known by AR - eg in the migration script and database) programmatically (I know the data exists in there somewhere). For example, I can deal with all the attribute names: ar.attribute_names.each { |name| puts name } .attributes just returns a mapping of the names to their current values (eg no type info if the field isn't set). Some places I have seen it with the type information: in script/console, type the name of an AR entity: >> Driver => Driver(id: integer, name: string, created_at: datetime, updated_at: datetime) So clearly it knows the types. Also, there is .column_for_attribute, which takes an attr name and returns a column object - which has the type buried in the underlying database column object, but it doesn't appear to be a clean way to get it. I would also be interested in if there is a way that is friendly for the new "ActiveModel" that is coming (rails3) and is decoupled from database specifics (but perhaps type info will not be part of it, I can't seem to find out if it is). • OAuth + Twitter on Android: Callback fails

  My Android application uses Java OAuth library, found here for authorization on Twitter. I am able to get a request token, authorize the token and get an acknowlegement but when the browser tries the call back url to reconnect with my application, it does not use the URL I provide in code, but uses the one I supplied while registering with Twitter. Note: 1. When registering my application with twitter, I provided a hypothetical call back url:http://abz.xyc.com and set the application type as browser. 2. I provided a callback url in my code "myapp" and have added an intent filter for my activity with Browsable category and data scheme as "myapp". 3. URL called when authorizing does contain te callback url, I specified in code. Any idea what I am doing wrong here? • EWS 2010: Public Folder Problem using .NET

  I've recently coded a .NET Console app using C#. It's purpose was to read the emails within a specific folder, parse them for specific values and save them to a database. Our email system, at the time I originally coded this, was Exchange 2003. However, I was made aware we would soon be upgrading to Exchange 2010: ergo, I built the code to work in both environments. Following the migration to 2010, however, the app has broken. The app uses the EWS API for 2010 functionality. When it attempts to use the ExchangeService's FindFolders method to find the publicfoldersroot, it throws an exception. The operation failed.") -Giving myself the highest level of permission to the Public Folder (no effect) -Manually setting my credentials (no effect) I can view the public folders in outlook; the publicfoldersroot property is available in the intellisense; the code works on local folders (I can parse my inbox). My current thinking is that it's a setting on the recent setup of Exchange 2010: unfortunately that isn't really my field.

• Spring 3 simple extentionless url mappings with annotation-based mapping - impossible?

  Hi, I'm using Spring 3, and trying to set up a simple web-app using annotations to define controller mappings. This seems to be incredibly difficult without peppering all the urls with *.form or *.do Because part of the site needs to be password protected, these urls are all under /secure. There is a <security-constraint> in the web.xml protecting everything under that root. I want to map all the Spring controllers to /secure/app/. Example URLs would be: /secure/app/landingpage /secure/app/edit/customer/{id} each of which I would handle with an appropriate jsp/xml/whatever. • How can I force a tree itemrenderer to redraw during a drag and drop operation?

  I have a tree control with a custom item renderer. The item renderer has different states that should be set while an item is being dragged over the item renderer. I understand from reading this post http://forums.adobe.com/message/2091088 that the 'right way' to do this is to override the 'getCurrentState' method and append some text. I do that. Now in my tree control I handle the drag over event and get a reference to the itemrenderer that is being dragged over and I set the boolean 'dragOver' property to true. Now I just need to force my itemRenderer to redraw. I can't figure that out. A workaround, is to just set the currentState of the itemRenderer. My question then, how can I force my itemRenderer to refresh?   Hi, I have a windows service running under "SYSTEM" account that checks if a specific application is running for each logged in user. If the application is not running, the service starts it (under corresponding user name). I'm trying to accomplish my goal using CreateProcessAsUser(). The service does start the application under corresponding user name, but the GUI is not drawn. (Yes, I'm making sure that "Allow service to interact with desktop" check box is enabled). System: XP SP3, labguage: C# Here is some code that might be of interest: PROCESS_INFORMATION processInfo = new PROCESS_INFORMATION(); startInfo.cb = Marshal.SizeOf(startInfo); startInfo.lpDesktop = "winsta0\\default"; bResult = Win32.CreateProcessAsUser(hToken, null, strCommand, IntPtr.Zero, IntPtr.Zero, false, 0, IntPtr.Zero, null, ref startInfo, out processInfo); As far as I understand, setting startInfo.lpDesktop = "winsta0\default"; should have used the desktop of corresponding user. Even contrary to what is stated here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/165194, I tried setting lpDesktop to null, or not setting it at all, both giving the same result: process was started in the name of expected user and I could see a part of window's title bar. The "invisible" window intercepts mouse click events, handles them as expected. It just doesn't draw itself. Is anyone familiar with such a problem and knows what am I doing wrong?

  I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 new clean install , not a VM, that I have added to a Windows Server 2003 based domain using my account which has domain admin rights. The domain functional level is 2003. I performed a clean install of SQL Server 2008 R2 using my account which has domain admin rights. The installation completed without any errors. I logged into SSMS locally and attempted to add another domain account by clicking Search, Advanced and finding the user in the domain. When I return to the "Dialog - New" window and click OK I receive the following error: Create failed for Login 'Domain\User'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo) An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Windows NT user or group 'Domain\User' not found. Check the name again. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15401) I have verified that the firewall is off, tried adding a different domain user, tried using SA to add a user, installed the hotfix for KB 976494 and verified that the Local Security Policy for Domain Member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel Domain Member: Digitally encrypt secure channel Domain Member: Digitally sign secure channel are disabled none of which have made a difference. I can RDP to a Server 2003 server running SQL 2008 and add the same domain user without issue. Also if I try to connect with SSMS to the sql server from another system on the domain using my account I get the following error: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452) and on the database server I see the following in the security event log: An account failed to log on.   I've been trying to map an object to a database using SQLAlchemy but have run into a snag. Version info if handy: [OS: Mac OSX 10.5.8 | Python: 2.6.4 | SQLAlchemy: 0.5.8] The class I'm going to map: class Student(object): def __init__(self, name, id): self.id = id self.name = name self.preferences = collections.defaultdict(set) self.allocated_project = None self.allocated_rank = 0 def __repr__(self): return str(self) def __str__(self): return "%s %s" %(self.id, self.name) Background: Now, I've got a function that reads in the necessary information from a text database into these objects. The function more or less works and I can easily access the information from the objects. Before the SQLAlchemy code runs, the function will read in the necessary info and store it into the Class. There is a dictionary called students which stores this as such: students = {} students[id] = Student(<all the info from the various "reader" functions>) Afterwards, there is an "allocation" algorithm that will allocate projects to student. It does that well enough. The allocated_project remains as None if a student is unsuccessful in getting a project. SQLAlchemy bit: So after all this happens, I'd like to map my object to a database table. Using the documentation, I've used the following code to only map certain bits.   Hello, I'm going to implement JSON-PRC web service. I need specifications for this. So far I had found only one resource that can be called as real specifications: JSON-RPC 1.0 http://json-rpc.org/wiki/specification Proposal of JSON-PRC 2.0: http://groups.google.com/group/json-rpc/web/json-rpc-2-0 (why is it on google groups?) However I've seen that JavaScript frameworks like Dojo actively use JSON-RPC SMD Service Mapping Description proposal But it requires JSON Schema specifications, but it redirects to incorrect URL as reference. So far I had found following: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-zyp-json-schema-02 And it is still draft... Can anybody point me to spome actual specifications... At least something official updated? Because it looks like that implementing JSON-RPC 1.0 and 2.0 would not be enought, at least for frameworks like Dojo. Or am I wrong? Questions: Is it enough to implement JSON-RPC 1.0 specifications and 2.0 draft to be on safe side, would this work for most JSON-RPC clients? If I should implement SMD, or it is recommended can somebody point to official specifications of Json Schema and Service Mapping Description or links I found are really "specifications?" Note: do not suggest existing JSON-RPC service implementations.
