  • MacPorts 1.8.2 fails to build db46 on Mac OS X 1.6.3

    I'm trying to put a development environment on my Mac, and to do so I need to install several packages which require db46.   • Do i need to dispose of MySqlCommand?

    I find it incredibly annoying to write a using statement on every one of my queries (which require its own command or write parameters.clear()) which sometimes require declaring variables outside of the using block. Its so incredibly annoying and looks much dirtier compared to the version without disposing the object. Do i need to dispose of it? what happens if i dont? I do know its good practice to dispose of an object when it has that interface.

  • Mercator projection world map with Geoserver and Openlayers

    I'm trying to render a world map shapefile on my Geoserver with a Mercator projection. I've tried declaring the SRS on Geoserver and defining EPSG projections of 3785 or 900913 in Openlayers with no success. I've also tried to reproject the shapefile using ogr2ogr but the result is slightly off.     So I've found out that setting the PATH environment variable affects only the old command prompt, powershell seems to have different environment settings. How do I change the environment variables for powershell (v1)? Note: I want to make my changes permanent, so I don't have to set it every time I run powershell. Does powershell have a profile file? Something like bash profile on unix?

Header Search Path: /usr/include/** There is nothing in the code yet, just the main function that comes with the default proj. Just don't know what to do, never expected this to happen.

I have tried several things at this point including the below but getting no where. This has to be easy, just missing it.     I've got some JSON data, but it's all on one line. Does anyone know of a web or Windows editor that will format (e.g. indent and insert new lines) this data for me, so I can read it better? Preferably one that uses a GUI to display the JSON—instead of a command-line tool that outputs a reformatted document, for example.

  • Network.downloadfile is very slow

    I have tried using the My.Computer.Network.DownloadFile method but unfortunately it is slow. Executing the simple command below takes ~5-10 secs, which I would say is a lot longer than expected for downloading a 9 kb file. `My.Computer.Network.DownloadFile("http://www.google.dk", "j:\temp\test.html")` I am connecting via a high-speed connection (10GB) from a Win7 machine. Do anyone know of any explanations for this behavior? Hope that you can help me out with this. Kristoffer

    Hi all, I rather cleverly (or not in hindsight) installed RVM, which kept hanging whilst compiling Rubies. I have removed the .rvm directory but now my system has reverted to Ruby 1.8.7 i.e. when I type: ruby -v which ruby they both point to 1.8.7. How do I get the ruby command to point to my 1.9.1 installation, which is located in /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.9.1? I'm on OSX 10.6. Thanks Robin

  • Emacs How to redefine Shift-R for expected use

    I've checked my elisp files to make sure that I do not have any bindings that contain Shift+R (and I have not found any). I expect SHIFT+R to print an uppercase character, but instead I get R R undefined inside of the Emacs command line. This is only in C/C++ major modes. Any suggestions? Update: Describing the key shows that it is undefined. How would I define it for the normal, expected use (capitalizing the letter R)?

    Hi, I am having some problems comparing the elements in different cell arrays. The context of this problem is that I am using the bwboundaries function in MATLAB to trace the outline of an image. The image is of a structural cross section and I am trying to find if there is continuity throughout the section (i.e. there is only one outline produced by the bwboundaries command). Having done this and found where the is more than one section traced (i.e. it is not continuous), I have used the cornermetric command to find the corners of each section. Is there a way I can check whether each cell of the array (containing an x and y coordinate) is equal to any pair of coordinates in cornercellarray? I know it is possible with matrices to compare whether a certain element matches any of the elements in another matrix. I want to be able to do the same here, but for the pair of coordinates within the cell array. The reason I don't just use the cornercellarray cell array itself, is because this lists all the corner coordinates and does not associate them with a specific traced boundary.
