  • Codebase for making a Flash-based interactive map with SVG vector data?

    I'm looking for a way to take SVG path info (basically a string of coordinates) and dynamically draw it with Actionscript. Icing on the cake would be if those shapes could detect mouse events to trigger JS and dynamically change their appearance (fill, stroke, etc...). I'm currently trying something similar to this (http://raphaeljs.com/australia.html) using SVG but it's just too slow in IE. I've also tried Google's SVG Web (http://code.google.com/p/svgweb/) which basically does exactly what I'm looking for (it converts SVG to Flash in IE) but again, it's sloooooow - which is why I'm considering doing the whole shebang in Flash. Anyone know of some links to point me in the right direction?

  • How can I bind dynamic data to DataGridTemplateColumn in code?

    I'm using DataGrid from CodePlex. I have objects (ICustomTypeDescriptor) that have properties 'name' 'description' 'c' 'd' and so on (the names are dynamic, and so is the value) and they have information behind them. I have templates for different types. And if I have to list the properties of a single element I can just bind to the values in xaml and use datatemplateselector (in datagridtemplatecolumn) which will pick the correct template. However, when I'm listing several of the elements, how can I use the selectors and the templates? How do I get the correct property bound to the template (two-way)?     Thanks to Code Poet, I am now working off of this code to parse all .txt files in a directory and store them in a database. I need a bit more help though... The file names are R303717COMP_148A2075_20100520.txt (the middle section is unique per file). I would like to add something to code so that it can parse out the R303717COMP and put that in the left column of the database such as: (this is not the only R number we have) R303717COMP data data data R303717COMP data data data R303717COMP data data data etc Lastly, I would like to have it store each full file name into another table that gets checked so that it doesn't get processed twice..     Hi. I've got a database table with at least three rows in it. From php, I have successfully connected to my db and extracted all table information with 'SELECT * from mytable' . Now I want to loop through first each row, and then each cell, printing out the contents of each cell. I know this might be a simple task for a more experienced programmer, but I can't figure it out, and I can't find any examples online and it's driving me stark raving bonkers. How can I do this ?

  • Is there a way to combine streaming data retrieval with hibernate?

    For the purposes of handling very large collections (and by very large I just mean "likely to throw OutOfMemory exception"), it seems problematic to use Hibernate because normally collection retrieval is done in a block, i.e. List values=session.createQuery("from X").list(), where you monolithically grab all N-million values and then process them. What I'd prefer to do is to retrieve the values as an iterator so that I grab 1000 or so (or whatever's a reasonable page size) at a time. Apart from writing my own iteration (which seems like it's likely to be re-inventing the wheel) is there a hibernate-native way to handle this?

I have two tables (data, transaction) which I insert information into in a serializable transaction (either they are both in, or both out, but not in limbo). SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SERIALIZABLE BEGIN TRANSACTION INSERT INTO dbo.data (ID, data) VALUES (@Id, data) INSERT INTO dbo.transactions(ID, info) VALUES (@ID, @info) COMMIT TRANSACTION I have a reconcile query which checks the data table for entries where there is no transaction at read committed isolation level. INSERT INTO reconciles (ReconcileID, DataID) SELECT Reconcile = @ReconcileID, ID FROM Data WHERE NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM TRANSACTIONS WHERE data.id = transactions.id) Note that the ID is actually a composite (2 column) key, so I can't use a NOT IN operator My understanding was that the second query would exclude any values written into data without their transaction as this insert was happening at serializable and the read was occurring at read committed. I have evidence that reconcile is picking up entries

When I put startActivity() after takePicture(), it transfers null data.... I just want to put the image data to another activity to have other use.   • javascript: how to delay submitting data when several checkboxes clicked in short time interval?

    I have an array of checkboxes in a complex dynamic-html form. Whenever a user clicks one checkbox, a fairly expensive query is generated and submitted to a remote server. I want to delay this submit action depending on the users next action. If the user clicks several checkboxes quickly, all of the first clicks should be discarded, only the last one is processed and eventually submitted after 1 second or so. maybe this is a common problem but I have never worked with timeouts before.

    I am very new to Fluent NHibernate and I have a problem that I cant find the answer to. I have a string column in my database table, containing a mathematical expression i.e: "10 + 15 * 5". On my entity I have a property that I call Formula and this returns a class that contains the mathematical "formula" (not as a string). I beleive this post http://intellect.dk/post/Implementing-custom-types-in-nHibernate.aspx explains how to solve it for NHibernate. But I am not sure... How do I get this working with Fluent NHibernate?

    Are very large TextProperties a burden? Should they be compressed? Say I have a information stored in 2 attributes of type TextProperty in my datastore entities. The strings are always the same length of 65,000 characters and have lots of repeating integers, a sample appearing as follows: entity.pixel_idx = 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5....etc. entity.pixel_color = 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,...etc. So these above could also be represented using much less storage memory by compressing say using only each integer and the length of its series ( '0,8' for '0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0') but then its takes time and CPU to compress and decompress? Any general ideas? Are there some tricks for testing different attempts to the problem?

  • Need to determine button clicked in a JQuery mobile popup and perform actions based thereon

    I am having a problem with a JQM popup. The popup has 3 buttons, and the action taken in the main program depends on which button is clicked. The code in the main program is run more than once and I am not sure why. The simple example below uses an alert to display which button on the popup was clicked. Then once the user fills out a correctly formed email address and hits submit (or enter) I want the form to send the email address to wherever I specify in the jQuery code and then generate a little "Thank you for signing up notice", all without reloading the browser. I have looked at too many tutorials and my eyes are pretty much aching at this stage, so please don't point me to any urls (I most likely have been there). If someone could provide a barebone outline of what to do It would be so much appreciated.

  • Flex + PHP + ValueObjects

    I have a php/flex value object that I am using to transmit data to/from in my application. Everything works great php-flex, but I am having an issue with flex-php. In my MergeTemplateService.php service I have the following code. This is the method that flex hits directly: function updateTemplate($valueObject){ $object = DAOFactory::getMergeTemplateDAO()->update($valueObject); return $object; } I am passing a value object that from flex looks like this: (com.rottmanj.vo::MergeTemplateVO)#0 communityID = 0 creationDate = (null) enterpriseID = 0 lastModifyDate = (null) templateID = 2 templateName = "My New Test Template" userID = 0 The issue I am having is that my updateTemplate method sees the value object as an array and not an object.
