    hi everybody, I have one of my activities which I would like to prevent from rotating because i'm starting an AsynTask, and screen rotation makes it restart... so is there any way to tell this activity "DO NOT ROTATE the screen even if the user is shaking his phone like mad"?     Hi all, after reading the SOAP specs, it states that a SOAP Fault should return a http 500 errorcode, so when a SoapException is thrown, WCF returns a 500 error code. Now, I'm looking for some best practices to when return a functional soap error message and when to return a SOAP Fault. What would you guys return when a functional error occurred while processing the message because of the input message contains some functional errors, a 500 SOAP Fault or a 200 Soap response containing some error message ?

    Hi guys: Searched on here and got some vague answers, so I thought i'd rephrase the problem to get some clearer answers- Right now I have an SQL Lite db that reads/parses information from a pre-formatted .txt file. When I open the app, there is a slight 'lag' as the iDevice parses the info, then gets fetched for the iDevice. I'm just wondering if there's any way to just 'save' all the information directly in the xCode so there's no lag/fetch time? Thank you.

When I try to insert/update details it stays on the same page without adding or updating anything into the database table. I really don't know what happened and don't know where start looking.   • Image improvment methods for OCR Engine

    Hello every one, We are working on a software that uses OPENOCR engine to do some OCR on given images, given we are using .NET framework , i was wondering if anyone knows about any good possible filters or sharpening methods that can be applied to the image prior to sending it to OCR engine. I have found for example a grayscaled image is much easier for OCR engine to read than a color images. are there any other techniques or image filttering that you guys know of , that can decrease the error margin by OCR engine ?
