    - by Middletone
I've got this verry funny javascript error showing up in an aspx page. load page. CLick a link to enable editing (does not do any page validation). Click the Save button (does do validation) The following error occurs. Error: AjaxControlToolkit.TextBoxWatermarkBehavior._originalWebForm_OnSubmit is not a function Source File: http://.../Resources/View.aspx?_TSM_HiddenField_=ctl00_ScriptManager1_HiddenField&_TSM_CombinedScripts_=%3b%3bAjaxControlToolkit%2c+Version%3d3.0.30512.18716%2c+Culture%3dneutral%2c+PublicKeyToken%3d28f01b0e84b6d53e%3aen-US%3a2a687836-1af9-40c8-ba86-15fd1828383c%3a865923e8%3a91bd373d%3aff62b0be%3a596d588c%3a411fea1c%3ae7c87f07%3abbfda34c%3a30a78ec5%3a42b7c466%3a58ebc1c5%3abc528fec%3a3510d9fc%3a8e72a662%3aacd642d2%3a77c58d20%3a14b56adc%3a269a19ae Line: 10 Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? I've got a search box at the very top of the page with a watermark extender and a second box below that also with a different watermark extender.

  • CSS: Why won't this box get wider?

    - by Jason
I just need a sanity check here... DEMO Basically, I can't figure out how to get the box under the link to get wider as more content is added. It seems fixed to the width of the parent div (or the width of, say, the longest element like the select or a really long word with no spaces), despite being absolutely positioned. I use this trick all the time with ul and li but it doesn't make sense to use that in my situation, and for some crazy reason it just won't work with a div inside a div. I don't want to set a width (which, of course, works) because I don't always know what will be in this box. GRR Thanks :\

  • Confirmation box pops up more than once using ajax

    - by peter burg
I'm using Ajax to delete records and display an animated message (function display_message) when this record is deleted, but I noticed that the confirmation box pops up depending on the number of records. for example if I have 2 records in my list and I want to delete on of them. The confirmation box pops up twice before deleting and the same thing happen with the message, It appears twice(I'm using a message that fade in and out), and so on(3 records - 3 pops up, etc). I tried a lot to resolve it but I haven't succeed . Here is my function that delete the records: $(function() { $(".delete_class").click(function() { var id = $(this).attr("id"); var dataString = 'id='+ id ; var parent = $(this).parent().parent(); if(confirm("are you sure?")) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "delete.php", data: dataString, cache: false, success: function() { parent.hide(); } }); } display_message("user deleted!") }); }); Please help.

  • Set Focus After Last Character in Text Box

    - by Josh
I have 3 text boxes for a phone number. As the user types, it automatically moves from one textbox to the next. When the user presses backspace, I can move focus to the previous text box. The problem is that in IE, focus is set to the beginning of the text box. Here's my code, which works fine in chrome. $('#AreaCode').live('keyup', function (event) { if ($(this).val().length == $(this).attr("maxlength")) $('#Prefix').focus(); }); $('#Prefix').live('keyup', function (event) { if (event.keyCode == 8 && $(this).val().length == 0) $('#AreaCode').focus(); if ($(this).val().length == $(this).attr("maxlength")) $('#Number').focus(); }); $('#Number').live('keyup', function (event) { if (event.keyCode == 8 && $(this).val().length == 0) $('#Prefix').focus(); }); How do I make the focus set at the end of the contents when going backwards?

  • why does backbone not send the delete?

    - by Nippysaurus
I have a very basic backbone (sample) application which just creates and destroys model items. When the model is created the object is persisted with a POST to the web server, but when the model is destroyed there is no DELETE sent to the server? Any idea why this might be? very basic model: window.User = Backbone.Model.extend({ urlRoot: 'users' }); my test code just to create and delete the model: var model = null; $(".add").click(function(){ if (model == null) { model = new window.User; model.set({name: 'meeee'}); model.save(); } }); $(".remove").click(function(){ if (model != null) { model.destroy(); } }); The JSON response when creating the model seems good too:

  • Cnoverting application to MVC architecture

  • jquery fancy box

    - by André Alçada Padez
Hi, i'm using fancy box for some content editing in my backoffice. I recently added an image manager wich i create with javascript. It's kind of like a fancybox, but i had to do it from scractch for it to be able to overlay the first one. My problem is this: I want to have the user being able to press the escape key to close my manager, but if i use $(window).keypress when i press the esc key, both the boxes close. I have tried $(window).unbind('keypress') when i start loading my box, and i have tried to look through the fancybox js file, but it is minimized. Does anyone know how i can disable and afterwards enable the escape key (during runtime) on the fancybox? Thanx

  • jQuery textbox required validation based on another text box having text

    - by doug
Pretty basic question, however, I am very new to jQuery and javascript in general. I have a jQuery validation that is requiring a text box to have text in it, if a checkbox is checked. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $("form").validate( { rules: { Comments: { required: "#IsAbnormal:checked" } }, messages: { Comments: { required: "Comments are required" } }, onkeyup: false, wrapper: "", errorLabelContainer: "#ErrorMessageBox" }); }); Pretty straight forward, if you check the IsAbnormal checkbox, it will throw a validation if there are no comments. What I am trying to do is require a textbox based on if another text box has any text in it, for instance require the old password if a user enters a new password into a textbox. Is there an easy way to get the required: "#NewPassword:NotBlank" to work?

  • Trigger button click with JavaScript on Enter key in Text Box

    - by ziondreams
I have one text input and one button (see below). How can I use JavaScript to trigger the button's click event when the Enter key is pressed inside the text box? There is already a different submit button on my current page, so I can't simply make the button a submit button. And, I only want the enter key to click this specific button if it is pressed from within this one text box, nothing else. <input type="text" id="txtSearch" /> <input type="button" id="btnSearch" value="Search" onclick="doSomething();" /> Update: I'd like to accept my own answer below, but since that is now allowed I will accept the next best solution.

  • plot only x and y axis (no box) in ggplot2

    - by Tyler Rinker
    The convention of some journals is to show only the x and y axis in a plot not a box around the entire plot area. How can I achieve this in ggplot2? I tried theme_minimal_cb_L from HERE but it seems to erase the entire box around the plot (does not leave the x and y axis) as seen here: Here's the code I'm using: dat <- structure(list(x = c(0.7, 0.75, 0.8, 0.85, 0.9, 0.95, 1, 1.05, 1.1, 1.15, 1.2, 1.25, 1.3), y1 = c(34, 30, 26, 23, 21, 19, 17, 16, 15, 13, 12, 12, 11), y2 = c(45, 39, 34, 31, 28, 25, 23, 21, 19, 17, 16, 15, 14)), .Names = c("x", "y1", "y2"), row.names = c(NA, -13L), class = "data.frame") library(reshape2); library(ggplot2) dat2 <- melt(dat, id='x') theme_minimal_cb_L <- function (base_size = 12, base_family = "", ...){ modifyList (theme_minimal (base_size = base_size, base_family = base_family), list (axis.line = element_line (colour = "black"))) } ggplot(data=dat2, aes(x=x, y=value, color=variable)) + geom_point(size=3) + geom_line(size=.5) + theme_minimal_cb_L()

  • App Engine: how would you... snapshotting entities

    - by Andrew B.
Let's say you have two kinds, Message and Contact, related by a db.ListProperty of keys on Message. A user creates a message, adds some contacts as recipients, and emails the message. Later, the user deletes one of the contact entities that was a recipient of the message. Our application should delete the appropriate Contact entity, but we want to preserve the original recipient list for the message that was sent for the user's records. In essence, we want a snapshot of the message entity at the time it was sent. If we naively delete the contact entity, though, we lose snapshot integrity; if not, we are left with an invalid key. How would you handle this situation, either in controller logic or model changes? class User(db.Model): email = db.EmailProperty(required=True) class Contact(db.Model): email = db.EmailProperty(required=True) user = db.ReferenceProperty(User, collection_name='contacts') class Message(db.Model): recipients = db.ListProperty(db.Key) # contacts sender = db.ReferenceProperty(User, collection_name='messages') body = db.TextProperty() is_emailed = db.BooleanProperty(default=False)

  • MVC - Sanitizing data, where?

    - by dierre
I'm using CakePHP but it's a question about the MVC pattern. I have in my form the input-text for the tags (separated by commas). To add the tags I've created a Tag model method that basically check if the tag exists and then add the new tag or just a new unit in the tag counter (the Tag model has these fields: id, name, slug, count). In the controller I explode the tags field and pass one tag at a time. The question is: where do I sanitize data? In the controller or in the model method? I think it should be in the controller because that's where I explode but in term of reusability I think I should sanitize data in the model. What do you think?

  • PC doesn't POST with a certain model of PSU

    - by Core Xii
I have this PC with an Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard and an Intel Q6600 CPU. I got a new RX-5300 PSU, but it didn't work. The motherboard power LED is on fine When I switch power on, the PC powers up briefly (0.5-1 sec) then shuts down From there on out when I switch power on, it stays on, all fans and components seem to be receiving power, but the motherboard won't POST. No video output, no PC speaker beeps, nothing If I turn the hard switch on the PSU off and then back on again, go to step 2; The PC turns on and then off immediately again, and on subsequent power-ups it stays on but won't POST I disconnected every component but the motherboard, CPU and PSU. Still nothing. I tried three other models of PSU on this PC, both of higher (600) and lower (<300) wattage than the 530 on the RX-5300 and they all work fine. At this point I was convinced the PSU was faulty so I returned it. When the replacement arrived, it behaved exactly the same. So two different units of RX-5300 both with the same symptoms, neither working with this motherboard + CPU. Yet, three other models of PSU work perfectly fine. The PC store couldn't reproduce my problem with the returned PSU. I tried resetting the CMOS with the jumper. I tried with both the 4 and 4+4 (with and without the extra +4 connected) CPU connectors (curiously the RX-5300 comes equipped with both). Could it be a statistical probability that I get two units of the same model of PSU that are faulty in the exact same manner? Could the RX-5300 model itself be somehow incompatible with this motherboard? I was under the impression that PSUs were pretty much universal so long as you have the wattage. Could the motherboard be broken in some such a way as to work with certain PSUs but not others? What's going on here?

  • How to start MSSQL Server with corrupt model db

    - by Jordan McGuigan
After moving some databases around (restoring, deleting, etc) we experienced an issue creating new databases. Specifically, When trying to create a new database MSSQL Server it failed because the "The database 'model' is marked RESTORING and is in a state that does not allow recovery to be run". As some online solutions suggested, we tried to Start and Stop the MSSQL Service. Service would not restart because "Could not create tempdb. You may not have enough disk space available. Free additional disk space by deleting other files on the tempdb drive" (FYI: the drive has 100gb of free space). Tried restarting the machine the MSSQL Server is running on. When the server came back online, we received the same error. We have tried deleting tempdb.mdf and restoring the modeldb from the templates folder, but neither of these solved the issue. We are unable to connect to the database, even in single user mode. Many of the online solutions have us running SQL commands against the server, but we are unable to connect (even in single user mode) to the DB to run commands against the server. Specific error messages: Database 'model' cannot be opened. It is in the middle of a restore. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 927) The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service is starting. The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service could not be started. A service specific error occurred: 1814. We need the server up and running again ASAP.
