  • Dynamic allocated array is not freed

    - by Stefano
    I'm using the code above to dynamically allocate an array, do some work inside the function, return an element of the array and free the memory outside of the function. But when I try to deallocate the array it doesn't free the memory and I have a memory leak. The debugger pointed to the myArray variable shows me the error CXX0030. Why? struct MYSTRUCT { char *myvariable1; int myvariable2; char *myvariable2; .... }; void MyClass::MyFunction1() { MYSTRUCT *myArray= NULL; MYSTRUCT *myElement = this->MyFunction2(myArray); ... delete [] myArray; } MYSTRUCT* MyClass::MyFunction2(MYSTRUCT *array) { array = (MYSTRUCT*)operator new(bytesLength); ... return array[X]; }

  • How to convert List<int> to string[]?

    - by George Edison
    I need an easy way to convert a List<int> to a string array. I have: var the_list = new List<int>(); the_list.Add(1); the_list.Add(2); the_list.Add(3); string[] the_array = new string[the_list.Count]; for(var i = 0 ; i < the_array.Count; ++i) the_array[i] = the_list[i].ToString(); ...which looks to be very ugly to me. Is there an easier way? Note: I'm looking for an easier way - not necessarily a faster way.

  • Rand(); with exclusion to and already randomly generated number..?

    - by Stefan
    Hey, I have a function which calls a users associated users from a table. The function then uses the rand(); function to chose from the array 5 randomly selected userID's however!... In the case where a user doesnt have many associated users but above the min (if below the 5 it just returns the array as it is) then it gives bad results due to repeat rand numbers... How can overcome this or exclude a previously selected rand number from the next rand(); function call. Here is the section of code doing the work. Bare in mind this must be highly efficient as this script is used everywhere. $size = sizeof($users)-1; $nusers[0] = $users[rand(0,$size)]; $nusers[1] = $users[rand(0,$size)]; $nusers[2] = $users[rand(0,$size)]; $nusers[3] = $users[rand(0,$size)]; $nusers[4] = $users[rand(0,$size)]; return $nusers; Thanks in advance! • PHP: $_POST array to XML file and display results.

    - by user633264
    I'm creating a "Madlibs" page where visitors can create funny story things online. The original files are in XML format with the blanks enclosed in XML tags (Such as blablabla <PluralNoun></PluralNoun> blablabla <Verb></Verb> ). The form data is created using XSL and the results are saved using a $_POST array. How do I post the $_POST array between the matching XML tags and then display the result to the page? I'm sure it uses a "foreach" statement, but I'm just not familiar enough with PHP to figure out what functions to use. Any help would be great. Thanks, E

  • Problem parsing XML data to Multi dimensional array

    - by Cam
    Hi there, i'm still transitioning from as2 to as3, i'm having trouble with parsing XML data to Multi dimensional array, below is the onComplete handler which is succesfully tracing 'event.target.data' but outputs 'A term is undefined and has no properties' when tracing _vein_data[0][0].xPos . I'm guessing there is a easier way to approach it than this attempt private function on_xml_completed(event:Event):void { var XMLPoints:XML = new XML(event.target.data); for ( var i:int = 0; i < XMLPoints.shape.length(); i++ ) { var shapeArray:Array = new Array(); _vein_data.push(shapeArray); for ( var j:int = 0; j < 4; i++ ) { _vein_data[i].push({'xPos':XMLPoints.shape[i].point[j].@xPos, 'yPos':XMLPoints.shape[i].point[j].@yPos}); } } trace(_vein_data[0][0].xPos) loadAsset(); } here's a portion of my XML; <items> <shape> <point xPos="60" yPos="23" /> <point xPos="65" yPos="23" /> <point xPos="93" yPos="85" /> <point xPos="88" yPos="87" /> </shape> <shape> <point xPos="88" yPos="87" /> <point xPos="92" yPos="83" /> <point xPos="145" yPos="174" /> <point xPos="138" yPos="175" /> </shape> <shape> <point xPos="138" yPos="175" /> <point xPos="143" yPos="171" /> <point xPos="147" yPos="211" /> <point xPos="141" yPos="212" /> </shape> </items> thank you in advance for any guidance on this Cam

  • How to simplify my code... 2D NSArray in Objective C...?

    - by Tattat
    self.myArray = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [self d], [self generateMySecretObject],nil], [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [self generateMySecretObject], [self generateMySecretObject],nil],nil]; for (int k=0; k<[self.myArray count]; k++) { for(int s = 0; s<[[self.myArray objectAtIndex:k] count]; s++){ [[[self.myArray objectAtIndex:k] objectAtIndex:s] setAttribute:[self generateSecertAttribute]]; } } As you can see this is a simple 2*2 array, but it takes me lots of code to assign the NSArray in very first place, because I found that the NSArray can't assign the size at very beginning. Also, I want to set attribute one by one. I can't think of if my array change to 10*10. How long it could be. So, I hope you guys can give me some suggestions on shorten the code, and more readable. thz

  • How to fill byte array with junk? C#

    - by flyout
    I am using this: byte[] buffer = new byte[10240]; As I understand this initialize the buffer array of 10kb filled with 0s. Whats the fastest way to fill this array (or initialize it) with junk data everytime? I need to use that array like 5000 times and fill it everytime with different junk data, thats why I am looking for a fast method to do it. The array size will also have to change everytime.

  • Java - problems iterating through an ArrayList

    - by cc0
    Ok so I have an ArrayList (arrBok), which is full of book objects (the code is in Norwegian, so pay no attention to that please). I want to make a public method which iterates through all the objects in the arraylist. When I execute the code, it just seems to run in an infinite loop, not producing any return values. Here is the relevant (I hope, because there are a couple of other classes involved) part of the code; public String listAll() { itr = arrBok.iterator(); while (itr.hasNext()) { i++; } return "lol"; } This code does nothing useful, but I just want to see if it can iterate through it successfully. What I have tried so far; Tested if the bokArr (arraylist) is empty, which it's not. It has 4 objects inside of it. Return the toString() method of the itr, with the following result; java.util.AbstractList$Itr@173a10f // <-- not sure if this would be relevant to anything return itr.next().toString(); <-- // which seems to return the first object in the array, does that make sense?

So I just want to know how to initialize it in main activity so that I can use that string bssid anywhere.

  • Counting array in API JSON Response

    - by bryan
    I'm trying to do a simple count of how many refunds are in my Stripe Response but count() isn't working and I don't really know any other way of achieving this. Could anyone point me in the right direction? $retrieve_event = Stripe_Event::retrieve("evt_00000000000000"); $event_json_id = json_decode($retrieve_event); $refund_array = $event_json_id->{'data'}->{'object'}->{'refunds'}; die(count($refund_array)); This is the response of $retrieve_event { "created": 1326853478, "livemode": false, "id": "evt_00000000000000", "type": "charge.refunded", "object": "event", "request": null, "data": { "object": { "id": "ch_00000000000000", "object": "charge", "created": 1402433517, "livemode": false, "paid": true, "amount": 1000, "currency": "usd", "refunded": true, "card": { "id": "card_00000000000000", "object": "card", "last4": "0028", "type": "Visa", "exp_month": 8, "exp_year": 2015, "fingerprint": "a5KWlTcrmCYk5DIYa", "country": "US", "name": "First Last", "address_line1": "null", "address_line2": null, "address_city": "null", "address_state": "null", "address_zip": "null", "address_country": "US", "cvc_check": null, "address_line1_check": "fail", "address_zip_check": "pass", "customer": "cus_00000000000000" }, "captured": true, "refunds": [ { "id": "re_104CKt4uGeYuVLAahMwLA2TK", "amount": 100, "currency": "usd", "created": 1402433533, "object": "refund", "charge": "ch_104CKt4uGeYuVLAazSyPqqLV", "balance_transaction": "txn_104CKt4uGeYuVLAaSNZCR867", "metadata": {} }, { "id": "re_104CKt4uGeYuVLAaDIMHoIos", "amount": 200, "currency": "usd", "created": 1402433539, "object": "refund", "charge": "ch_104CKt4uGeYuVLAazSyPqqLV", "balance_transaction": "txn_104CKt4uGeYuVLAaqSwkNKPO", "metadata": {} }, { "id": "re_4CL6n1r91dY5ME", "amount": 700, "currency": "usd", "created": 1402434306, "object": "refund", "charge": "ch_4CL6FNWhGzVuAV", "balance_transaction": "txn_4CL6qa4vwlVaDJ" } ], "balance_transaction": "txn_00000000000000", "failure_message": null, "failure_code": null, "amount_refunded": 1000, "customer": "cus_00000000000000", "invoice": null, "description": "this is a description", "dispute": null, "metadata": {}, "statement_description": "this is a description", "fee": 0 } } }

  • Passing 2D array with variable dimensions as function argument

    - by TheCrazyProgrammer
    I just saw the following code among the successful submissions at codechef. http://www.codechef.com/viewplaintext/1595846 I used to think that float max(int n,int arr[n][n]) {....} is not allowed in C++ (as 'n' is a variable). My CodeBlocks (on windows) with MinGW [gcc 4.4] gives compile time error. that "error: array bound is not an integer constant. Then how can be such a solution be accepted by CodeChef's judge. Is there any special flag that allows us to do that in C++??? EDIT: A link showing status as AC (accepted) : http://www.codechef.com/viewsolution/1595846
