• Learn About Oracle’s Strategy for a Simple, Modern User Experience at OpenWorld 2012

• doctrine findby relation

  I'm having trouble selecting a subset of data with doctrine. I have 3 tables Location Contact Contact_location The contact and location tables hold a name and an id the other table holds only ID's. For instance: Location loc_id: 1 name: detroit Contact contact_id: 1 name: Mike Contact_location loc_id: 1 contact_id: 1 In doctrine there is a many to many relation between the location and contact tables with contact_location as the ref_class. What i want to do is on my location page i want to find all contacts where for instance the loc_id = 1. I tried: $this->installedbases = Doctrine::getTable('contact')->findByloc_id(1); hoping doctrine would see the relation and get it, but it does not. How can i make doctrine search in relevant related tables? I read it can be done using Findby but i find the documentation unclear.

  I've tried the bare method and the T4MVC method but so far both are routing me to the current URL instead of the default path with no arguments for the following action: public virtual ActionResult Index(byte? location, int? sublocation) { } So when I try Url.Action("Index","Locations", new {location="", system=""}) if I'm at a location already this method returns the path to where I'm already at instead of the default path with no arguments. • Removing Duplicate Data From SQL Query Output For Display On A Web Page [migrated]

  I had asked a similar question on stackoverflow but didn't really get anywhere. This page shows the output that I'm currently getting from my MSSQL server. I have a table of venue information (name, address, etc...) that our events happen on. Separately, I have a table of the actual events that are scheduled (an event may happen multiple times in one day and/or over multiple days). • [JS] XMLHttpRequest problem

  I am trying to do "POST" with XMLHttpRequest in a firefox extension, and after that I try to get the "Location" header and open it in a new tab. For some reason, the XMLHttpRequest doesn't contain a location header. My code function web(url,request) { var http = new XMLHttpRequest(); http.open('POST',url,true); http.setRequestHeader('Content-Type','application/x-www-form-urlencoded'); http.onreadystatechange=function() { if(http.readyState == 2) { alert(http.getResponseHeader("Location")); } } http.send(request); } Also, if I change the alert to getAllResponseHeaders() to see all headers, I just don't see the location header there. If I try to spy on the request of the original site with Firebug, it does show me the location header in the response. Please help me resolve my issues. Thanks :) P.S. I'm also unable to open a link in new tab using window.open(url, this.window.title);, but as that's not directly related to the rest of this I'll post a separate question to ask about it.

• Overriding equals, hashCode and toString in a Clojure deftype

  I'm trying to create a new type in Clojure using deftype to implement a two dimensional (x,y) coordinate, which implements a "Location" protocol. I'd also like to have this implement the standard Java equals, hashCode and toString methods. What is the right approach? Am I on the right track?

• Users being forced to re-login randomly, before session and auth ticket timeout values are reached

  I'm having reports and complaints from my user that they will be using a screen and get kicked back to the login screen immediately on their next request. It doesn't happen all the time but randomly. After looking at the Web server the error that shows up in the application event log is: Event code: 4005 Event message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied has expired. Everything that I read starts out with people asking about web gardens or load balancing. We are not using either of those. We're a single Windows 2003 (32-bit OS, 64-bit hardware) Server with IIS6. This is the only website on this server too. This behavior does not generate any application exceptions or visible issues to the user. They just get booted back to the login screen and are forced to login. As you can imagine this is extremely annoying and counter-productive for our users. Here's what I have set in my web.config for the application in the root: <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name=".TcaNet" protection="All" timeout="40" loginUrl="~/Login.aspx" defaultUrl="~/MyHome.aspx" path="/" slidingExpiration="true" requireSSL="false" /> </authentication> I have also read that if you have some locations setup that no longer exist or are bogus you could have issues. My path attributes are all valid directories so that shouldn't be the problem: <location path="js"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> <location path="images"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> <location path="anon"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> <location path="App_Themes"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> <location path="NonSSL"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> The only thing I'm not clear on is if my timeout value in the forms property for the auth ticket has to be the same as my session timeout value (defined in the app's configuration in IIS). I've read some things that say you should have the authentication timeout shorter (40) than the session timeout (45) to avoid possible complications. Either way we have users that get kicked to the login screen a minute or two after their last action. So the session definitely should not be expiring. Update 2/23/09: I've since set the session timeout and authentication ticket timeout values to both be 45 and the problem still seems to be happening. The only other web.config in the application is in 1 virtual directory that hosts Community Server. That web.config's authentication settings are as follows: <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name=".TcaNet" protection="All" timeout="40" loginUrl="~/Login.aspx" defaultUrl="~/MyHome.aspx" path="/" slidingExpiration="true" requireSSL="true" /> </authentication> And while I don't believe it applies unless you're in a web garden, I have both of the machine key values set in both web.config files to be the same (removed for convenience): <machineKey validationKey="<MYVALIDATIONKEYHERE>" decryptionKey="<MYDECRYPTIONKEYHERE>" validation="SHA1" /> <machineKey validationKey="<MYVALIDATIONKEYHERE>" decryptionKey="<MYDECRYPTIONKEYHERE>" validation="SHA1"/> Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This seems to be one of those problems that yields a ton of Google results, none of which seem to be fitting into my situation so far.

However, I also need to provide application accounts access to the repository. These accounts are in a different OU. Do I need to add a whole new <location> element, or can I add a second AuthLDAPURLto the existing entry?

• Select data from three different tables with null data

  I am new in Sql. My question is how to get data from three different tables with null values. I have tried a query as below: SELECT * FROM [USER] JOIN [Location] ON ([Location].UserId = [USER].Id) JOIN [ParentChild] ON ([ParentChild].UserId = [USER].Id) WHERE ParentId=7 which I find from this link. Its working fine but, it not fetches all and each data associated with the ParentId Something like it only fetches data which are available in all tables, but also omits some data which not available in Location tables but it comes under the given ParentId. For example: UserId ParentId 1 7 8 7 For userId 8, there is data available in Location table,so it fetches all data. But there is no data for userId 1 available in Location table, so the query didn't work for this. But I want all and every data. If there is no data for userId then it can return only null columns. Is it possible ?? hope everyone can understand my problem.

• How can I reshape and aggregate list of tuples in Python?

  I'm a newb to Python so apologies in advance if my question looks trivial. From a psycopg2 query i have a result in the form of a list of tuples looking like: [(1, 0), (1, 0), (1, 1), (2, 1), (2, 2), (2, 2), (2, 2)] Each tuple represents id of a location where event happened and hour of the day when event took place. I'd like to reshape and aggregate this list with subtotals for each hour in each location, to a form where it looks like: [(1, 0, 2), (1, 1, 1), (1, 2, 0), (2, 0, 0), (2, 1, 1), (2, 3, 3)] Where each touple will now tell me that, for example: in location 1, at hour 0 there were 2 events; in location 1, at hour 1 there was 1 event; and so on... If there were 0 events at certain hour, I still would like to see it, as for example 0 events at 0 hours in location 2: (2, 0, 0) How could I implement it in Python?

  Hello, I am new to using the geography types in SQL Server 2008. I have a table in my database called "Location". "Location" has the following columns and types: Location -------- City nvarchar(256) State nvarchar(256) PostalCode nvarchar(25) Latitude decimal(9, 6) Longitude decimal(9, 6) Each Location is related to a Store record in my database. I am trying to find the stores within a 10 mile radius or postal code or city/state that a user enters. To accomplish this, I know that I need to rely on geographies. At this time I have: DECLARE @startingPoint geography; SET @startingPoint=geography::STGeomFromText('POINT(-122.34900 47.65100)', 4326); That gives me the starting point from a hard-coded textual value. However, I do not know how to convert a lat/long from my Location table into a geography instance. How do I convert a lat/long in my database to a geography instance so I can continue to work on my query? Thank you!

By one click, if the current location is marked by a circle - the circle will be removed. I am trying to do this by simply register the MouseDoubleClick and MouseClick events, and to draw the circle from a .bmp file the following way: private void MouseDoubleClick (object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { Graphics g = this.CreateGraphics(); Bitmap myImage = (Bitmap)Bitmap.FromFile("Circle.bmp"); g.DrawImage(myImage, e.X, e.Y); } My problem is that I dont know how to make the circle unvisible when the user clicks its location: I know how to check if the selected location contains a circle (by managing a list of all the locations containig circles...), but I dont know how exactly to delete it. Another question: should I call the method this.CreateGraphics() everytime the user double-clicks a location, as I wrote in my code snippet, or should I call it once on initialization?

• Why use of session name and session id in the get variables does not work?

  I have the following code: $location .= 'red=no&'.session_name() . "=". session_id(); $content = file_get_contents($location); echo $content; If I run it, noting is displayed in my browser. However, if I modify it in the following way: $location .= 'red=no'; $content = file_get_contents($location); echo $content; everything works fine (I see the content in my browser). What is also strange, if I display the value of the $location variable from the first example (url) and manually paste it in the address line of my browser, I do see the content. So, my browser is able to use this URL and file_get_contents not. Does anybody know how it can be explained?

Once you have entered the information you will see the default “Terrain View” for your location and a “Current Conditions & Forecast Window” in the lower left corner.   Popping up the native SMS app from a mobile HTML Web page is a nice feature that allows you to pre-fill info into a text for sending by a user of your mobile site. The syntax is a bit tricky due to some device inconsistencies (and quite a bit of wrong/incomplete info on the Web), but it's definitely something that's fairly easy to do.In one of my Mobile HTML Web apps I need to share a current location via SMS. While browsing around a page I want to select a geo location, then share it by texting it to somebody. Basically I want to pre-fill an SMS message with some text, but no name or number, which instead will be filled in by the user.What worksThe syntax that seems to work fairly consistently except for iOS is this:sms:phonenumber?body=messageFor iOS instead of the ? use a ';' (because Apple is always right, standards be damned, right?):sms:phonenumber;body=messageand that works to pop up a new SMS message on the mobile device. I've only marginally tested this with a few devices: an iPhone running iOS 6, an iPad running iOS 7, Windows Phone 8 and a Nexus S in the Android Emulator. All four devices managed to pop up the SMS with the data prefilled.You can use this in a link:<a href="sms:1-111-1111;body=I made it!">Send location via SMS</a>or you can set it on the window.location in JavaScript:window.location ="sms:1-111-1111;body=" + encodeURIComponent("I made it!");to make the window pop up directly from code. • Understanding the Customer Form in Release 12 from an AR Perspective!!

  Confused by the Customer Form in Release 12??  Read on, to get some insight into the evolution of this screen, and how it links in with Trading Community Architecture. Historically, the customer data model was owned by Oracle Receivables (AR).  However, as the data model changed and more complex relationships and attributes had to be tracked and monitored, the Trading Community Architecture (TCA) product was created.  All applications within the E-Business suite that require interaction with a customer integrate with TCA. Customer information is no longer stored in the individual applications but rather in a central repository/registry maintained within TCA.  It is important to understand the following entities/concepts stored in TCA: Party: A party is an entity with whom you can have a potential business relationship.  A party can be either a Person or an Organization.  The Party entity is completely independent of any business relationship; this means that a Party can exist even if you have no transactions with it.   The Party is the "umbrella" entity under which you capture all other attributes listed below. Customer: A customer is a party with whom you have an existing business relationship.  From an AR perspective, you can simplify the concepts by thinking of a Customer as a Party. This definition however does not apply to all other applications. In the Oracle Receivables Customer form, the information displayed at the Customer level is from TCA's Party information record. Customer Account (also called Account): An account contains information about how you transact business with a particular customer.  You can create multiple accounts for a customer.  When you create invoices and receipts you associate it to a particular Account of a Customer. Location: A Location is an address.  It is a point in space, typically identified by a street number, a street name, a city, a state or province, a country.  A location is independent of what it is used for - you do not associate a purpose to a location. Party Site: A Party Site is associated to a Party.  It is the location where a party is physically located.  When defining sites for a Party, only one can be an identifying address.  However, you can define other party sites associated to a party. You can define purposes/usage for Party Sites. Account Site: An Account Site is associated to a Customer Account. It is the location associated to the account you are transacting business with. You can define business purposes (also called site uses) for an Account site.   so I'm trying to scrape an Amazon page for data, and I'm getting an error when I try to parse for where the seller is located.   Imagine the following XML document: <root> <person_data> <person> <name>John</name> <age>35</age> </person> <person> <name>Jim</name> <age>50</age> </person> </person_data> <locations> <location> <name>John</name> <country>USA</country> </location> <location> <name>Jim</name> <country>Japan</country> </location> </locations> </root> I then select the person node for Jim: XmlNode personNode = doc.SelectSingleNode("//person[name = 'Jim']"); And now from this node with a single XPath select I would like to retrieve Jim's location node. Something like: XmlNode locationNode = personNode.SelectSingleNode("//location[name = {reference to personNode}/name]"); Since I am selecting based on the personNode it would be handy if I could reference it in the select. Is this possible?.. is the connection there? Sure I could put in a few extra lines of code and put the name into a variable and use this in the XPath string but that is not what I am asking.

• Visual studio 2010 setup project problem.

  Hi there, I've made an application that uses .NET framework 3.5 SP1 and SQL Server 2008 Express. Application is fine and now i'm going to to make a setup project for this. When I first build my setup it was fine as all the prerequisites were not included in setup. But I want my setup to install .NET 3.5 SP1 and SQL SERVER 2008 Express also. So for this I've changed the options in setup project's properties from "Download prerequisites from following location" to "Download prerequisites from the same location as my application". In addition to that I've also checked the options above like .NET 3.5 SP1 and SQL Server 2008 Express etc. After doing all this I build my project again. This time I'm Getting 57 Errors. Error 1 The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendor's web site' and the file 'DotNetFX35SP1\dotNetFX20\aspnet.msp' in item '.NET Framework 3.5 SP1' can not be located on disk. See Help for more information.   Context I am fairly new to database design (=know the basics) and am grappling with how best to design my database for a project I am currently working on. In short, my database will keep a log of which employees have attended certain health and safety courses throughout the year. There are multiple types of course e.g. moving objects, fire safety, hygiene etc. In terms of my database design I need to accommodate the following: Each location can have multiple divisions Each division can have multiple departments Each department can have multiple functions Each function can have multiple job roles Each job role can have different course requirements Also note that the structure at each location may not be the same e.g. the departments within divisions are not the same across locations and the functions within departments may also differ. Edit - updated to better articulate problem Let's assume I am just looking at Location, Division and Department and I have my database as follows: LocationTable DivisionTable DepartmentTable LocationID(PK) DivisionID(PK) DepartmentID(PK) LocationName DivisionName DepartmentName There is a many-to-many relationship between Locations and Divisions and also between Departments and Divisions. Suppose I set up a 'Junction Table' as follows: Location_Division LocationID(FK) DivisionID(FK) Using Location_Division I could easily pull back the Divisions for any Location. However, suppose I want to pull back all departments for a given Division in a given Location. If I set up another 'Junction Table' for Division and Department then I can't see how I would differentiate Division by Location?
