  • jquery refresh php loop?

    Hi, I have a page in which users can make "posts" its similar to facebook, I am trying to figure out how I can get it to run the php loop say every 10mins, in order for the person to see new posts. Everytime a post is made it is added into the db and then the page is refreshed, I want to do it more "facebook like".     There is a bug in Grails preventing me from using removeFrom* when the node I'm trying to remove is extending the collection type. Removing the node directly from the association won't update the second level cache. A hasMany B Is there any way to manually invalidate or force a reload on an association cache? Invoking refresh() on the many side didn't do the trick.

    I have a form (on page form.html) submitting with POST method to a CGI-C page - let's call it form.cgi - and what form.cgi does is it redirects the user to the previous page (to form.html) with appending query strings using HTTP-EQUIV Refresh META after 5 seconds. However, if I monitor the Web server's access.log although I see the appropriate POST request for form.cgi there is an additional GET request for form.cgi again, after 5 seconds just before redirecting the user to form.html Has anyone faced with such an issue?

    How does one troubleshoot a site that loads sometimes, but then requires a reload at other times... sometimes it loads, sometimes it hangs and a refresh is required, sometimes more than once. What would you do in this situation? I'm just looking for basic troubleshooting steps to start me going in the right direction.     I've got a home server. Simple, low-power-consumption Intel Atom based PC built by me. It runs XP since Win7 was an overkill for this poor thing. Everything was OK, always used Avast! antivirus + Spybot. However, it stopped shutting down after a while. Few days ago I noticed a "CB Monitor Windows" proccess is blocking this (didn't quit from rdp after sending the shutdown command). What is this proccess? How can I disable/remove it? Tried Malwarebytes, found ONE malware, removed it, did a reboot, no change. Avast is up-to-date, Spybot is the same. What could I do?

  • Software to Monitor the Stability of Internet Connection

    Thanks to the excellent internet connection service offered by one of the best ISP in the world, the internet connection in my area is very, very unstable. I can connect some of the time, but MOST of the time the connection will just drop off ( with the error message unable to resolve host) and after a few minutes, it will resume back. If I ping the domain name directly (i.e., ping www.google.com -t in cmd command), I will get a cannot ping message. Because of the flickery nature of the connection, it's pretty hard to prove to the support staff that internet connection is unstable. So I am thinking about using one software to record down the connection situation, so that I can present to the technical staff and make sure that they have no excuse not to fix my problem. Any such software available? Edit: Of course, such software should not record my browsing habit, and must be able to monitor and record the internet connection condition even when I am not online.
