  • Getting console2 to work nicely with UAC

    I would like to get console2 to work nicely with UAC Particular problems I would like to tackle: If I start non-elevated, have a way to elevate while running. It'd be especially nice if I could elevate individual tabs I would like to get different coloring for admin/non-admin, similar to: this link. Basically, if I can get the console to execute a command on startup (similar to the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\AutoRun registry value), that's all I need How do I get this working? Would I have to modify source code to get this to work, or can I use different tab settings/do hacks w/ shell executables? I am using Windows 7, although I would imagine any working solution would also work on Vista.

  • Get SMTP to work

    We upgraded to exchange 2010 and this broke an old java based script that connected and sent out e-mail messages. Many hours later we still can't get exchange to work like exchange 2003 did. That hope was abandoned and we decided to create a linux postfix server to forward the e-mail from the old system to exchange, eliminating exchange on the java side. This still doesn't work with similar errors. I need help figuring out what is different between exchange 2003 with SSL and authentication and the new servers, both linux and exchange 2010. My guess is both have TLS and for some reason the java code won't revert back to the older version of SSL, instead it just fails. Can someone help me either setup exchange 2010 to work like 2003 used to, OR to setup postfix to mandate it use SSL 2.0 instead of TLS? unfortunately no one knows anything about the Java code and they can't decompile it apparently. Any help is appreciated.

My question is simple - is it actually possible to implement this pattern in PHP, or is it specific to Java interfaces? I've searched high and low and it's hard to find references to this pattern anywhere outside of PoEAA.

    So I know this is a problem that has been asked around a lot, but I've tried a bunch of solutions with no success. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit), and I just installed it yesterday. This is my first time working with linux. The error is: You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run: libc.so.6 Things I've tried. First, I had downloaded from the steam website. I uninstalled it, and tried again from the ubuntu software centre. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install ia32-libs sudo apt-get upgrade This installed a bunch of the 32 bit libraries, but did not fix the issue. This seems like the major fix for most people. The direct approach of sudo apt-get install libc.so.6 returns this: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package libc.so.6 E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'libc.so.6' I guess libc.so.6 isn't a package, just a single file or something? I also tried gksudo gedit /etc/ld.so.conf.d/steam.conf Added these two lines, those the second one was all ready in the file, but copied over: /usr/lib32 /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/mesa Then executed: sudo ldconfig But nothing seemed to happen, steam still doesn't work. So, I feel like it is more likely that I have the library and steam isn't looking in the right place. One thing I've seen is people usually reference /usr/local/lib/ for your library locations. However, I can't find where to cd into /usr/, it isn't in my home folder. If /usr/ is the home folder, there is only a /.local folder which only has /share, no lib anywhere. Sorry for my linux ignorance. I appreciate any help, I honestly have no idea how to confirm I have the library and point steam to it, or if that is even the right thing to do.   • 3 Servers, 2 Work Fine, One Has Network Issues

    i have 3 servers, all relatively the same hardware/config, etc. I run some data pulls on all 3, and on 2 of them, they have 1 nic, and they work fine. On the other , there are 2 nics, and unless they are both plugged in or teamed, the processes time out. Any ideas on why this would be? It doesn't make sense to me, as the other two work fine with 1 nic and don't time out when running the same processes.

  • Arrow keys don't work in htop on OS X in Terminal

    Not sure when it happened, or what I did (if anything), but my arrow keys don't work in htop anymore to scroll around. You should be able to press up and down to scroll up and down the process list, but they don't work. Some keys tend to be the equivalent of 'go back' or something. If I'm on the settings screen, left, up and down all go back to the main screen. htop seems to be the only affected program.

I set in PHP : mbstring.language=UTF-8 mbstring.internal_encoding=UTF-8 mbstring.http_input=UTF-8 mbstring.http_output=UTF-8 mbstring.detect_order=auto But each time there is a $ in the password (i have one for the root of mysql + other script) the password won't work. For example, I just removed the $ in the password for a script, and it worked. When i connect @root on mysql via phpmyadmin : don't work When i connect @root via PHP : works What can i do for this problem please ?

  • What 'ordinary' packages does 'sudo apt-get purge wine*' removes?

    Ok, here's one silly question - I've actually run that command trying to lose configuraion of current installation of wine, so I can install it from zero. I didn't quite read but I've noticed that some packages that 'shouldn't be uninstalled' were getting uninstalled, like compiz for example... Now, my problem is that I don't know what are the other packages that got uninstalled. I can't enter Ubuntu at all. Help, please. Command was sudo apt-get purge wine*. Thank you. Please be nice; I was really tired :)

  • What is the sudo password after I deleted the password for the user?

    To have an easier access to the computer I deleted the user's password so it is blank. But now I'm still asked to type in a password for sudo actions such as installing programms, etc. I know that this belongs to Ubuntu's outrageous security policy (which is why I use Ubuntu in the first place..) but I don't have any password to enter any more!! The old user password is not accepted and anything else (like just hitting enter) doesn't work either. I already tried the recovery mode (root shell) way passwd USER< but it replied that it can't access the password or it has no authority. Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Stopping work from one thread using another thread

    Not sure if my title is worded well, but whatever :) I have two threads: the main thread with the work that needs to be done, and a worker thread that contains a form with a progress bar and a cancel button. In normal code, it would be the other way around, but I can't do that in this case. When the user clicks the cancel button, a prompt is displayed asking if he wants to really cancel the work. The problem is that work continues on the main thread. I can get the main thread to stop work and such, but I would like for it to stop doing work when he clicks "Yes" on the prompt.   • ndiswrapper wlan driver installed, but wlan still does not work

    I'm trying to get my Atheros AR1111 EB-WG PCI wireless adapter to work. Right now wifi is not even detected. I'm on ubuntu 12.04 64bit and I managed to find a xp64bit driver. I followed the exact steps here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper And where I do ndiswrapper -l I get something like : {name of driver} : driver installed device ({Chipset ID}) present which shows that the driver installed properly However, after I load the new module : sudo modprobe ndiswrapper nothing happens, and iwconfig shows that I still have no wlan. I tried to do dmseg | grep ndiswrapper, but there were no driver loading errors or anything strange. I also have blacklist ath5k, ath8k in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf What am I doing wrong? What could be causing this?
