• How to specify a maven repository

  I am taking over a project left by previous colleague. The project is mavenized and I'm having a hard time building it. There is a inside block, which generates error when I ran mvn install. The error shows that plugin cannot be found in maven central repo. I checked and it's not there. I happened to find another internal repository that has the plugin jar file. So outside the block, I specified a to point at that internal repo. However, when I ran mvn install again, it still goes to maven central repo to look for the plugin. How do I make it look for the jar file at the right repo? I thought by specifying the list, it would automatically check that list? Other than the repo I added, there was no repository list set up previously.

It doesn't work - it caches for 60 seconds, but only one cached copy is created regardless of what I put in the CacheString property. Anyone any ideas what i'm doing wrong? - After 4 hours of this I have no hair or nails left - please save my monitor from the brick.

• CSS gaps between image links for no reason

  Hi, I've been trying to get this horizontal navigation sorted for the past few hours now and nothing is working. I've tried reset.css stylesheets, *{padding: 0; margin: 0) etc. and I still have gaps inbetween my image links. You see, the navigation is made up of an unordered list of image links displayed inline, but there are gaps in between each image, left, right, top and bottom and I can't see why. It's the same in all browsers. Here is a link to the page, and so source: Beansheaf Temporary I can't post more than one link (damn reputation) so the css is at the same url but in the directory "styles" and is called "fund2.css". • Poor Transparency on Images

  I am having problems getting transparency to work well on an ImageView. The images at (http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/6233/whatn.png) were screen captured from a Droid (hdpi). The top image I made in Photoshop and left the background white. The bottom image is the same image with the background transparent and the layout's color (white) shows through. Whenever I have transparent backgrounds in images it dithers shadows like this. Also, it only happens on hdpi devices, on my G1 (mdpi) it looks just fine. What is going on? How can I make the bottom image look as good as the top one?

  Well, I'm coding the OnPaint event for my own control and it is very nescessary for me to make it pixel-accurate. I've got a little problem with borders of rectangles. See picture: These two rectangles were drawn with the same location and size parameters, but using different size of the pen. See what happend? When border became larger it has eaten the free space before the rectangle (on the left). I wonder if there is some kind of property which makes border be drawn inside of the rectangle, so that the distance to rectangle will always be the same. Thanks.

• keypress event not being triggered only at start and end of text field in Firefox (JQuery)

  I'm listening for keypress events on an input field with delegation. For some reason, Firefox doesn't trigger the delegated event for cursor UP when at the start of the field, or cursor DOWN when at the end. LEFT and RIGHT work as expected all the time. Directly binding an event listener to the field works fine, so it has to be something to do with delegation. • How to drag and scroll in a div with jQuery

  Hey guys, I've been looking around for some time now, but I can't find a way to combine these elements: I want a 100% width div, with 1 row of elements. I need to scroll through this div, just like: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/scrollable-timelines.html So with a hidden overflow and such. But now I want some sort of smooth ease when I let go of the mouseclick, so it'll be like a sort sweep. So when I drag the screen from left to right, and let go of the mouse, it'll move on for 1 sec and linearly slowing down. Hm, am I making sense? • How do I trigger specific parts of a storyboard in WPF?

  I have several grids in my window. I have created a storyboard that moves them left by x pixels when a button is clicked. I want to make it so that when the button is clicked again those grids move another x pixels, however I'm unable to find out how to do this as it's not a common task on tutorials. I have tried creating a second storyboard to do this, however that won't work as then the grids will be back at their starting positions. One solution might be to create a third set of keyframes after the first two sets, and somehow pause the animation when it gets there, and resumes it again when the button is clicked, however I'm not sure how to pause a storyboard when it reaches a keyframe. This would also make reversing the grids difficult (using this approach http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/wpf/thread/ac54de71-f750-4940-91a2-231810308727/), as I'd like to make another button make the grids go the other way.

• Getting an icon to always be unrotated regardless of parent rotations in WPF

  Is there an easy way in WPF to specify the orientation of an icon (or Button, or any WPF object) so that it always effectively remains unrotated regardless of the rotations of the parent transforms? For example, I'd like to have an icon like this: + + + + + +++++ + + + + + + + However, if I dock it to the left side, it'd by default look like this: +++++ + + + +++++ +++ + and if I docked it to the right, it'd be like this: + +++ +++++ + + + +++++ Is there a way to make it always be: + + + + + +++++ + + + + + + + ? I know I could manually track where it's docked and rotate it appropriately, but I was wondering if there's a clever way to effectively give the icon "gravity" to always point down. Thanks!

• Rotating in OpenGL relative to the viewport

  I'm trying to display an object in the view which can be rotated naturally by dragging the cursor/touchscreen. At the moment I've got X and Y rotation of an object like this glRotatef(rotateX, 0f, 1f, 0f); // Dragging along X, so spin around Y axis glRotatef(rotateY, 1f, 0f, 0f); I understand why this doesn't do what I want it to do (e.g. if you spin it right 180 degrees, up and down spinning gets reversed). I just can't figure out a way for both directions to stay left-right and up-down relative to the viewer. I can assume that the camera is fixed and looking along the Z axis. Any ideas?

• saving values of editText in replaced fragment

  I have a 2 fragment layout, on the left fragment, i have a list of the different table names, on the right, i open up a different table depending on what is clicked on the right fragment. my intention, is that the first list item is clicked, then values will be entered on the table, next the second list item is clicked, the next table opens up and those values are entered. what would be the best way to store the values of the results entered in the editboxes, so i can process them all at once? I'm sure i can use onPause to save them all, but would that be the best way? Thanks

• When a template is rendered in template tag code, MEDIA_URL is not in context

  I want to use a template for 2 template tags. In the template, I used {{ MEDIA_URL }} and discovered that MEDIA_URL is not in context as expected. Had to use get_config and pass it manually. Why is the setting not in context, how else can I put it there, or maybe there's a better way that a template tag? • New wxpython controls not displaying until resize

  I have created a custom control (based on a panel) in wxPython that provides a list of custom controls on panel within it. The user needs to be able to add rows at will and have those rows displayed. I'm having trouble getting the new controls to actually appear after they are added. I know they are present, because they appear after a resize of the frame, or if I add them before Show() is called on the frame. I've convinced myself it's something basic, but I can't find the mistake. • handling activity destruction in multithreaded android app

  Hi, I have a multithreded app where background threads are used to load data over network or from disk/db. Every once in a while user will perform some action e.g. fetch news over network, which will spawn a background AsyncTask, but for some reason user will quit the app (press back button so that activity gets destroyed). In most such scenarios, I make appropriate checks in the background thread after it returns from n/w i/o, so that it won't crash by accessing members of the activity that is destroyed by now. However some corner cases are left where crashes happen, because the background thread would access some member of activity that is now null. Do other Android developers have some generic/recommended framework to handle such scenarios? These are the times when I wish android would have guaranteed termination of all threads when activity destroys (in the same way that regular linux process cleans up when it's quit)... but I guess Android devs had good reasons for not exposing process lifetimes through the api.

• bitshift large strings for encoding QR Codes

  As an example, suppose a QR Code data stream contains 55 data words (each one byte in length) and 15 error correction words (again one byte). The data stream begins with a 12 bit header and ends with four 0 bits. So, 12 + 4 bits of header/footer and 15 bytes of error correction, leaves me 53 bytes to hold 53 alphanumeric characters. The 53 bytes of data and 15 bytes of ec are supplied in a string of length 68 (str68). The problem seems simple enough - concatenate 2 bytes of (right-shifted) header data with str68 and then left shift the entire 70 bytes by 4 bits. This is the first time in many years of programming that I have ever needed to do something like this, I am a c and bit shifting noob, so please be gentle... I have done a little investigation and so far have not been able to figure out how to bitshift 70 bytes of data; any help would be greatly appreciated. Larger QR codes can hold 2000 bytes of data...

  Hey Few Questions 1.Is it legal to have an IFrame on a website which inside has an external website? 2.In an IFrame is it possible to only show a section of the src that isnt the top left of the site (for instance if there was a chart in the middle of a website, could u have just the chart in your Iframe, or atleast start it centred there) 3.Any way to stop my IFrame from auto redirecting me to the external site for 3: ie <iframe src="http://fifa.com"></iframe> Just sends me to fifa instead of actually showing that site in a frame.

  I'm trying to do a simple drag script. The idea is to save the position when the mouse is down, update the view while the mouse is moving, and stop when mouse is up. Problem, mouseup event isn't working properly. • Absolute positioned div not hidden.

  I have this <div id="container"> <div id="div1"></div> <div> Now, let's assume that: the "container" has a width of 300px the "container" has overflow: hidden; the "div1" has a width of 1000px; the "div1" is absolute positioned, top:0px,left:0px; The problem: The "div1" is not hidden, it overflows the "container" but it's still showing :(. If I simply remove the "position:absolute" it will work. How can I hide the overflow of "div1" ?
