  Hello All, I am new to C# and xaml code. I have one sample code which implemented in C#. when I have reviewed xaml file I got <Window x:Class="test.MainWindow">. So does test.MainWindow indicate the class name for this window. I am trying to invoke this window from other application which is developed in win 32. I am trying to pass this class name to FindWindow("test.MainWindow",NULL) ,but it fails. does anything missing over there. how I can change the class name of window developed in C#? Thanks, Sagar

• Where to put a recursive function when following MVC?

  Hello, I have a recursive function being used to generate a menu on my site. The function is calling a database for each level of children in the menu, and generating html for them. I've currently put this function in a Model part of the code, however, I feel that generating html in the model goes against the MVC. I didn't put it in a Controller because I didn't want to have database calls or HTML generation there. I didn't put it in a View because I didn't want database calls there either. Is the 'correct' way of tackling this problem to have a Controller call a recursive function in a Model that returns a 2d array representing the menu. Then pass the array to a view which has it's own recursive function for generating html from the array?

  Hello, I have a string with CompressedRichText in it. I want to uncompressed it to standard RTF and then to plain Text. I am using VS 2008 C# Windows Application.   Hello, I am saving the image at this location :- private static String photoGalleryPath = "/Common/PhotoGallery/"; In PhotoGallery. I create userid wise folders and save images. Everything works fine. But when i clean and build my project. The whole folder of PhotoGallery gets deleted. This looks very funny to me :). Why does it delete my whole folder everytime? And what more should i do to tell the extra smart Glassfish to not to delete my folders?

• iPhone - Landscape Only App

  Hello all! I am trying to make an app that will only be viewed in Landscape. I have looked up some tutorials (albeit older ones) and have done the following: -set up the info.plist to include a key for uiinterfaceorientation -in the main view controller I have set the frame to be 480 x 320 Now, the first screen loads up ok. Everything is where it should be and whatnot. However, if I click a button that is set to present a modal view controller nothing happens. Everything is linked and coded correctly but nothing happens when I press the button. Am I doing something wrong with trying to force landscape? At it's basic, this question is a how do you effectively make an app that will only be in landscape mode? Thanks for any help.

• Is Kohana worth giving up on due to lack of Documentation & Examples?

  Hello, I've recently chose Kohana for a new project I'm doing And quite frankly, it's going a bit slow due to lack of resources. I've stumbled again and again on problems that I can't find a solution to Examples are probably the hardest to come by, so I'm considering Switching, especially because I'm only starting and I am still able to do it without to much trouble. I've been looking at CodeIgniter, although I know that Kohana is a branch out, CodeIgniter has far more examples and documentation, I'm wondering about your opinion. Edit: I would love to see some complete Kohana sites example, so that I would have a really quick reference. Nothing like already-working code to give you inspiration.

  When run through javac on the cmd line Sun JVM 1.6.0_20, this code produces 6 .class files OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When run through JDT in eclipse, it produces only 5 classes. OuterClass.class OuterClass$1.class OuterClass$InnerClass.class OuterClass$InnerClass2.class OuterClass$InnerClass$InnerInnerClass.class OuterClass$PrivateInnerClass.class When decompiled, OuterClass$1.class contains nothing. • C++ memory management of reference types

  Hello, I'm still a fairly novice programmer and I have a question about c++ memory management with refence types. First of all, my understanding of reference types: A pointer is put on the stack and the actual data that the pointer points to is created and placed on the heap. Standard arrays and user defined classes are refence types. Is this correct? Second, my main question is do c and c++'s memory management mechanisms (malloc, free and new, delete) always handle this properly and free the memory that a class or array is pointing to? Does everything still work if those pointers get reassigned somehow to other objects of the same size/type on the heap? What if a class has a pointer member that points to another object? I am assuming that delete/freeing the class object doesn't free what it's member pointer points to, is that correct? Thanks all! -R

• Regular expression match, extracting only wanted segments of string

  I am trying to extract three segments from a string. As I am not particularly good with regular expressions, I think what I have done could probably be done better... I would like to extract the bold parts of the following string: SOMETEXT: ANYTHING_HERE (Old=ANYTHING_HERE, New=ANYTHING_HERE) Some examples could be: ABC: Some_Field (Old=,New=123) ABC: Some_Field (Old=ABCde,New=1234) ABC: Some_Field (Old=Hello World,New=Bye Bye World) So the above would return the following matches: $matches[0] = 'Some_Field'; $matches[1] = ''; $matches[2] = '123'; So far I have the following code: preg_match_all('/^([a-z]*\:(\s?)+)(.+)(\s?)+\(old=(.+)\,(\s?)+new=(.+)\)/i',$string,$matches); The issue with the above is that it returns a match for each separate segment of the string. I do not know how to ensure the string is the correct format using a regular expression without catching and storing the match if that makes sense? So, my question, if not already clear, how I can retrieve just the segments that I want from the above string?

• Silverlight - Timeout Issue

  Hello, I have a Silverlight 3 application that is querying a large dataset. This query is taking over one minute. After approx. one minute into the attempt, an error is getting logged into the event viewer that says: "Membership credential verification failed" Oddly queries that are taking shorter than 1 minute are running successfully. Because of this, I do not believe it is a "credential" issue, unless somehow it is expiring. But how do I set the expiration? I have no idea what else this could be. Thank you,

  hello.. Am working on a personal project, where i need to manipulate values in a database-like format.. Up until now, am using dictionaries, tuples, and list to store and consult those values. Am thinking about starting to use SQL to manipulate those values, but I dont know if its worth the effort, because I dont know anything about SQL, and I dont want to use something that wont bring me any benefits (if I can do it in a simpler way, i dont want to complicate things) if am only storing and consulting values, what would be the benefit of using SQL? PS: the numbers of row goes between 3 and 100 and the number of columns is around 10 (some may have 5 some may have 10 etc)

I couldn't find a way to do this. I tried to listen for the "load" event and set up the interception there but it also fails. How do I hook calls to doc.write from an extension?

Also, only projects for a specific account.   Hello I'm creating a kind of massive network for users to register and login. I want to try using classes, but I've never used them (expect some mysql-wrappers etc). Could you provide some tips and sample-structure for my project? The idea is to simply have a index.php, which prints the whole page and does all the action. Index.php calls functions from classes inside other files. I need: user-class for checking if logged in and retrieving user-info different kind of "page"-classes for functions needed in those pages I'm not asking for full code, but just a start.   Hello, I did not see anything that address my particular code problem. I have a bool function in a class; the bool function is named: bool Triplet::operator ==(const Triplet& operand)const And I am trying to call it in Main but having problems just getting the call right. Apparently if I leave out any thing in the wording it gives an error that I have too few aruguments and if I try to use the entire wording of the function, I get the error that I need a semi-colon, but I already have a semi-colon at the end of the call, so I know that something else is wrong and I simply cannot figure out what is wrong! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

• Delphi : Restore a pre-design tabsheet after user has closed it...

  Hello, I have a tPageControl on a form, and have made a nice 'welcome page' as a new ttabsheet at design time for the user to start off with. However, if the user closes this tab, I would like the option to bring it back, as it was in originally (much like the welcome page in the Delphi IDE). This seems like a simple problem... When the tab closes, the original sheet is freed and set nil. I tried creating the sheet again by name (e.g. tabsheet1 := ttabsheet.create) and assigning it to the pagecontrol, but none of the original components from the sheet are there anymore... I know designing the welcome page as a separate form, creating it when I need it and slapping it into a new tabsheet would work... but I was just wondering if there was a way to do it with the design time tabsheet.
