  • Help -- trying to build Apache ODE source code with Buildr

    - by Moon13
Hi, i am trying to build APACHE ODE source code with Buildr using Ruby. I installed ruby and installed Buildr with it, but when i run the command rake package on the root of APACHE ODE source code it gives me this error C:\workspace2\APACHE_ODE_1.Xrake package --trace (in C:/workspace2/APACHE_ODE_1.X) rake aborted! uninitialized constant Gem::Requirement::OP_RE The gems i have installed C:\workspace2\APACHE_ODE_1.Xgem list * LOCAL GEMS * Antwrap (0.7.0) archive-tar-minitar (0.5.2) builder (2.1.2) buildr (1.3.5) highline (1.5.1) hoe (2.3.3) net-sftp (2.0.2) net-ssh (2.0.15) rake (0.8.7) rjb (1.1.6) rspec (1.2.8) rubyforge (1.0.5) rubygems-update (1.3.6) rubyzip (0.9.1) xml-simple (1.0.12)

  • [SOLVED] Iphone NSXMLParser NSCFString memory leak

    - by atticusalien
I am building an app that parses an rss feed. In the app there are two different types of feeds with different names for the elements in the feed, so I have created an NSXMLParser NSObject that takes the name of the elements of each feed before parsing. Here is my code: NewsFeedParser.h #import @interface NewsFeedParser : NSObject { NSInteger NewsSelectedCategory; NSXMLParser *NSXMLNewsParser; NSMutableArray *newsCategories; NSMutableDictionary *NewsItem; NSMutableString *NewsCurrentElement, *NewsCurrentElement1, *NewsCurrentElement2, *NewsCurrentElement3; NSString *NewsItemType, *NewsElement1, *NewsElement2, *NewsElement3; NSInteger NewsNumElements; } - (void) parseXMLFileAtURL:(NSString *)URL; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *NewsItemType; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *NewsElement1; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *NewsElement2; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *NewsElement3; @property(nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *newsCategories; @property(assign, nonatomic) NSInteger NewsNumElements; @end NewsFeedParser.m #import "NewsFeedParser.h" @implementation NewsFeedParser @synthesize NewsItemType; @synthesize NewsElement1; @synthesize NewsElement2; @synthesize NewsElement3; @synthesize newsCategories; @synthesize NewsNumElements; - (void)parserDidStartDocument:(NSXMLParser *)parser{ } - (void)parseXMLFileAtURL:(NSString *)URL { newsCategories = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; URL = [URL stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@" " withString:@""]; URL = [URL stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@"\n" withString:@""]; URL = [URL stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@" " withString:@""]; //you must then convert the path to a proper NSURL or it won't work NSURL *xmlURL = [NSURL URLWithString:URL]; // here, for some reason you have to use NSClassFromString when trying to alloc NSXMLParser, otherwise you will get an object not found error // this may be necessary only for the toolchain [[NSURLCache sharedURLCache] setMemoryCapacity:0]; [[NSURLCache sharedURLCache] setDiskCapacity:0]; NSXMLNewsParser = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:xmlURL]; // Set self as the delegate of the parser so that it will receive the parser delegate methods callbacks. [NSXMLNewsParser setDelegate:self]; // Depending on the XML document you're parsing, you may want to enable these features of NSXMLParser. [NSXMLNewsParser setShouldProcessNamespaces:NO]; [NSXMLNewsParser setShouldReportNamespacePrefixes:NO]; [NSXMLNewsParser setShouldResolveExternalEntities:NO]; [NSXMLNewsParser parse]; [NSXMLNewsParser release]; } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser parseErrorOccurred:(NSError *)parseError { NSString * errorString = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Unable to download story feed from web site (Error code %i )", [parseError code]]; NSLog(@"error parsing XML: %@", errorString); UIAlertView * errorAlert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Error loading content" message:errorString delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil]; [errorAlert show]; [errorAlert release]; [errorString release]; } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didStartElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName attributes:(NSDictionary *)attributeDict{ NewsCurrentElement = [elementName copy]; if ([elementName isEqualToString:NewsItemType]) { // clear out our story item caches... NewsItem = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; NewsCurrentElement1 = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; NewsCurrentElement2 = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; if(NewsNumElements == 3) { NewsCurrentElement3 = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; } } } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didEndElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName{ if ([elementName isEqualToString:NewsItemType]) { // save values to an item, then store that item into the array... [NewsItem setObject:NewsCurrentElement1 forKey:NewsElement1]; [NewsItem setObject:NewsCurrentElement2 forKey:NewsElement2]; if(NewsNumElements == 3) { [NewsItem setObject:NewsCurrentElement3 forKey:NewsElement3]; } [newsCategories addObject:[[NewsItem copy] autorelease]]; [NewsCurrentElement release]; [NewsCurrentElement1 release]; [NewsCurrentElement2 release]; if(NewsNumElements == 3) { [NewsCurrentElement3 release]; } [NewsItem release]; } } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser foundCharacters:(NSString *)string { //NSLog(@"found characters: %@", string); // save the characters for the current item... if ([NewsCurrentElement isEqualToString:NewsElement1]) { [NewsCurrentElement1 appendString:string]; } else if ([NewsCurrentElement isEqualToString:NewsElement2]) { [NewsCurrentElement2 appendString:string]; } else if (NewsNumElements == 3 && [NewsCurrentElement isEqualToString:NewsElement3]) { [NewsCurrentElement3 appendString:string]; } } - (void)dealloc { [super dealloc]; [newsCategories release]; [NewsItemType release]; [NewsElement1 release]; [NewsElement2 release]; [NewsElement3 release]; } When I create an instance of the class I do like so: NewsFeedParser *categoriesParser = [[NewsFeedParser alloc] init]; if(newsCat == 0) { categoriesParser.NewsItemType = @"article"; categoriesParser.NewsElement1 = @"category"; categoriesParser.NewsElement2 = @"catid"; } else { categoriesParser.NewsItemType = @"article"; categoriesParser.NewsElement1 = @"category"; categoriesParser.NewsElement2 = @"feedUrl"; } [categoriesParser parseXMLFileAtURL:feedUrl]; newsCategories = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithArray:categoriesParser.newsCategories copyItems:YES]; [self.tableView reloadData]; [categoriesParser release]; If I run the app with the leaks instrument, the leaks point to the [NSXMLNewsParser parse] call in the NewsFeedParser.m. Here is a screen shot of the Leaks instrument with the NSCFStrings leaking: http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/3997/leaks.png For the life of me I can't figure out where these leaks are coming from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Theme confusion in SpreadsheetML.

    - by dmaruca
    I've been fighting this all day. Inside my styles.xml file I have color information given like so: <fgColor theme="0" tint="-0.249977111117893" / ECMA 376 defines a theme color reference as: Index into the <clrScheme collection, referencing a particular <sysClr or <srgbClr value expressed in the Theme part. Ok, that sounds easy. Here is an excerpt from my clrScheme xml: <a:clrScheme name="Office" <a:dk1 <a:sysClr val="windowText" lastClr="000000" / </a:dk1 <a:lt1 <a:sysClr val="window" lastClr="FFFFFF" / </a:lt1 Index zero is black, and they are wanting to darken it? I can tell you that after the tint is applied, the color should be #F2F2F2. My confusion is what does theme="0" really mean? It can't possible mean to darken #000000. Checking MSDN only confuses me even more. From http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560821.aspx note that the theme color integer begins counting from left to right in the palette starting with zero. Theme color 3 is the dark 2 text/background color. Actually, if you start counting at zero the third entry is Light 2. Dark 2 is the second one. Can anyone here shed some light on this subject for me? What does theme="0" really mean? Here is the VB6 code I have been working with to apply the tint. You can paste it into your vba editor and run the test sub. Public Type tRGB R As Byte G As Byte B As Byte End Type Public Type tHSL H As Double S As Double L As Double End Type Sub TestRgbTint() Dim c As tRGB RGB_Hex2Type "ffffff", c RGB_ApplyTint c, -0.249977111117893 Debug.Print Hex(c.R) & Hex(c.G) & Hex(c.B) End Sub Public Sub RGB_Hex2Type(ByVal HexString As String, RGB As tRGB) 'Remove the alpha channel if it exists If Len(HexString) = 8 Then HexString = mID(HexString, 3) End If RGB.R = CByte("&H" & Left(HexString, 2)) RGB.G = CByte("&H" & mID(HexString, 3, 2)) RGB.B = CByte("&H" & Right(HexString, 2)) End Sub Public Sub RGB_ApplyTint(RGB As tRGB, tint As Double) Const HLSMAX = 1# Dim HSL As tHSL If tint = 0 Then Exit Sub RGB2HSL RGB, HSL If tint < 0 Then HSL.L = HSL.L * (1# + tint) Else HSL.L = HSL.L * (1# - tint) + (HLSMAX - HLSMAX * (1# - tint)) End If HSL2RGB HSL, RGB End Sub Public Sub HSL2RGB(HSL As tHSL, RGB As tRGB) HSL2RGB_ByVal HSL.H, HSL.S, HSL.L, RGB End Sub Private Sub HSL2RGB_ByVal(ByVal H As Double, ByVal S As Double, ByVal L As Double, RGB As tRGB) Dim v As Double Dim R As Double, G As Double, B As Double 'Default color to gray R = L G = L B = L If L < 0.5 Then v = L * (1# + S) Else v = L + S - L * S End If If v > 0 Then Dim m As Double, sv As Double Dim sextant As Integer Dim fract As Double, vsf As Double, mid1 As Double, mid2 As Double m = L + L - v sv = (v - m) / v H = H * 6# sextant = Int(H) fract = H - sextant vsf = v * sv * fract mid1 = m + vsf mid2 = v - vsf Select Case sextant Case 0 R = v G = mid1 B = m Case 1 R = mid2 G = v B = m Case 2 R = m G = v B = mid1 Case 3 R = m G = mid2 B = v Case 4 R = mid1 G = m B = v Case 5 R = v G = m B = mid2 End Select End If RGB.R = R * 255# RGB.G = G * 255# RGB.B = B * 255# End Sub Public Sub RGB2HSL(RGB As tRGB, HSL As tHSL) Dim R As Double, G As Double, B As Double Dim v As Double, m As Double, vm As Double Dim r2 As Double, g2 As Double, b2 As Double R = RGB.R / 255# G = RGB.G / 255# B = RGB.B / 255# 'Default to black HSL.H = 0 HSL.S = 0 HSL.L = 0 v = IIf(R > G, R, G) v = IIf(v > B, v, B) m = IIf(R < G, R, G) m = IIf(m < B, m, B) HSL.L = (m + v) / 2# If HSL.L < 0 Then Exit Sub End If vm = v - m HSL.S = vm If HSL.S > 0 Then If HSL.L <= 0.5 Then HSL.S = HSL.S / (v + m) Else HSL.S = HSL.S / (2# - v - m) End If Else Exit Sub End If r2 = (v - R) / vm g2 = (v - G) / vm b2 = (v - B) / vm If R = v Then If G = m Then HSL.H = 5# + b2 Else HSL.H = 1# - g2 End If ElseIf G = v Then If B = m Then HSL.H = 1# + r2 Else HSL.H = 3# - b2 End If Else If R = m Then HSL.H = 3# + g2 Else HSL.H = 5# - r2 End If End If HSL.H = HSL.H / 6# End Sub

  • How does the same origin policy apply to IP addresses

    - by recipriversexclusion
I have a server on our company intranet that runs JBoss. I want to send API calls to this server from my machine, also on the intranet, and get the resulting XML responses using JQuery. I read the entry on Wikipedia but am confused how that applies to my situation, since our machines only have IP addresses, not domain names. I have server URL: 10.2.200.3:8001/serviceroot/service client IP address: 10.2.201.217 My questions are: As far as I understand these are different domains, right? So I have to use a proxy to issue JQuery.ajax calls to the server If I want to avoid doing (2), can I install Apache on the server and server the page with JS code form there? But then the JS will be from 10.2.200.3 and the server is at 10.2.200.3:8001. Aren't these considered different domains according to policy? Thanks!

  • Problem using Blend 3 Interaction.Behaviours in VS2010

    - by Andre Luus
There seems to be a problem with support for the Interactivity namespace of Blend 3 in the VS2010 xaml editor. I have the following installed: VS2010 Blend 3 + Blend 3 SDK I am trying to compile a demo project that is targeted at .Net 4 Client Profile and has a reference to System.Windows.Interactivity (in the Blend 3 folder). In the object browser everything appears to be fine. I can also access Interaction.Behaviours from code-behind, but if I put the namespace xmlns:i="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/interactivity" in the xaml file and try to use it, the intellisense is blank. If I copy something in there anyway, the compiler says: The tag 'Interaction.Behaviors' does not exist in XML namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/interactivity'. Do I need to install Blend 4 RC or something?

Hi i'm new to Task queue java API i tried a simple Example for it. My idea is to redirect the queue file to a servlet and to print some statement in the servlet. But it doesn't work. i mapped web.xml and used default queue I didnt get any Error but the file is not redirected to servlet . this is the codee i followed taskq.java public class taskq extends HttpServlet { public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)throwsIOException { Queue queue = QueueFactory.getDefaultQueue(); System.out.println("taskqueue"); queue.add(url("/worker")); } worker.java public class worker extends HttpServlet { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; public String s; public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)throws IOException { String s="crimsom"; System.out.println(s); } } Please Help me on this issue. • ORA-22835 using JPA (Buffer too small)

    - by Kenneth
I am trying to persist an Entity with a @Lob annotated String field. The content of that fiels if bigger than the 40k buffer size limit. The first problem I had was related to the setString method used internally by the JPA implementation (Hibernate in my case) and the Oracle JDBC Driver. This problem was solved adding <property name="hibernate.connection.SetBigStringTryClob" value="true"/> to my persistence.xml file. Then, the error changed to a ORA-22835 error (the buffer is too small). ¿Is there any way that JPA solves this problem without going to a low-level implementation? ¿Any suggestions?

  • accessing HttpServletRequest object in Spring WebFlow

    - by user198530
I am using WebFlow and would like to add the current Locale into the flow. I already have a resolveLocale method that does this with this signature: public Locale resolveLocale (HttpServletRequest request); I would like to add something like this in my WebFlow XML: <on-start> <evaluate expression="localeService.resolveLocale(???)" result="flowScope.locale"/> </on-start> Now, I don't know what to put in the ??? parameter part. Any ideas? Thanks for reading.

  • Oracle Solaris: Zones on Shared Storage

    - by Jeff Victor
Oracle Solaris 11.1 has several new features. At oracle.com you can find a detailed list. One of the significant new features, and the most significant new feature releated to Oracle Solaris Zones, is casually called "Zones on Shared Storage" or simply ZOSS (rhymes with "moss"). ZOSS offers much more flexibility because you can store Solaris Zones on shared storage (surprise!) so that you can perform quick and easy migration of a zone from one system to another. This blog entry describes and demonstrates the use of ZOSS. ZOSS provides complete support for a Solaris Zone that is stored on "shared storage." In this case, "shared storage" refers to fiber channel (FC) or iSCSI devices, although there is one lone exception that I will demonstrate soon. The primary intent is to enable you to store a zone on FC or iSCSI storage so that it can be migrated from one host computer to another much more easily and safely than in the past. With this blog entry, I wanted to make it easy for you to try this yourself. I couldn't assume that you have a SAN available - which is a good thing, because neither do I! What could I use, instead? [There he goes, foreshadowing again... -Ed.] Developing this entry reinforced the lesson that the solution to every lab problem is VirtualBox. Oracle VM VirtualBox (its formal name) helps here in a couple of important ways. It offers the ability to easily install multiple copies of Solaris as guests on top of any popular system (Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Solaris, Oracle Linux (and other Linuxes) etc.). It also offers the ability to create a separate virtual disk drive (VDI) that appears as a local hard disk to a guest. This virtual disk can be moved very easily from one guest to another. In other words, you can follow the steps below on a laptop or larger x86 system. Please note that the ability to use ZOSS to store a zone on a local disk is very useful for a lab environment, but not so useful for production. I do not suggest regularly moving disk drives among computers. In the method I describe below, that virtual hard disk will contain the zone that will be migrated among the (virtual) hosts. In production, you would use FC or iSCSI LUNs instead. The zonecfg(1M) man page details the syntax for each of the three types of devices. Why Migrate? Why is the migration of virtual servers important? Some of the most common reasons are: Moving a workload to a different computer so that the original computer can be turned off for extensive maintenance. Moving a workload to a larger system because the workload has outgrown its original system. If the workload runs in an environment (such as a Solaris Zone) that is stored on shared storage, you can restore the service of the workload on an alternate computer if the original computer has failed and will not reboot. You can simplify lifecycle management of a workload by developing it on a laptop, migrating it to a test platform when it's ready, and finally moving it to a production system. Concepts For ZOSS, the important new concept is named "rootzpool". You can read about it in the zonecfg(1M) man page, but here's the short version: it's the backing store (hard disk(s), or LUN(s)) that will be used to make a ZFS zpool - the zpool that will hold the zone. This zpool: contains the zone's Solaris content, i.e. the root file system does not contain any content not related to the zone can only be mounted by one Solaris instance at a time Method Overview Here is a brief list of the steps to create a zone on shared storage and migrate it. The next section shows the commands and output. You will need a host system with an x86 CPU (hopefully at least a couple of CPU cores), at least 2GB of RAM, and at least 25GB of free disk space. (The steps below will not actually use 25GB of disk space, but I don't want to lead you down a path that ends in a big sign that says "Your HDD is full. Good luck!") Configure the zone on both systems, specifying the rootzpool that both will use. The best way is to configure it on one system and then copy the output of "zonecfg export" to the other system to be used as input to zonecfg. This method reduces the chances of pilot error. (It is not necessary to configure the zone on both systems before creating it. You can configure this zone in multiple places, whenever you want, and migrate it to one of those places at any time - as long as those systems all have access to the shared storage.) Install the zone on one system, onto shared storage. Boot the zone. Provide system configuration information to the zone. (In the Real World(tm) you will usually automate this step.) Shutdown the zone. Detach the zone from the original system. Attach the zone to its new "home" system. Boot the zone. The zone can be used normally, and even migrated back, or to a different system. Details The rest of this shows the commands and output. The two hostnames are "sysA" and "sysB". Note that each Solaris guest might use a different device name for the VDI that they share. I used the device names shown below, but you must discover the device name(s) after booting each guest. In a production environment you would also discover the device name first and then configure the zone with that name. Fortunately, you can use the command "zpool import" or "format" to discover the device on the "new" host for the zone. The first steps create the VirtualBox guests and the shared disk drive. I describe the steps here without demonstrating them. Download VirtualBox and install it using a method normal for your host OS. You can read the complete instructions. Create two VirtualBox guests, each to run Solaris 11.1. Each will use its own VDI as its root disk. Install Solaris 11.1 in each guest.Install Solaris 11.1 in each guest. To install a Solaris 11.1 guest, you can either download a pre-built VirtualBox guest, and import it, or install Solaris 11.1 from the "text install" media. If you use the latter method, after booting you will not see a windowing system. To install the GUI and other important things, login and run "pkg install solaris-desktop" and take a break while it installs those important things. Life is usually easier if you install the VirtualBox Guest Additions because then you can copy and paste between the host and guests, etc. You can find the guest additions in the folder matching the version of VirtualBox you are using. You can also read the instructions for installing the guest additions. To create the zone's shared VDI in VirtualBox, you can open the storage configuration for one of the two guests, select the SATA controller, and click on the "Add Hard Disk" icon nearby. Choose "Create New Disk" and specify an appropriate path name for the file that will contain the VDI. The shared VDI must be at least 1.5 GB. Note that the guest must be stopped to do this. Add that VDI to the other guest - using its Storage configuration - so that each can access it while running. The steps start out the same, except that you choose "Choose Existing Disk" instead of "Create New Disk." Because the disk is configured on both of them, VirtualBox prevents you from running both guests at the same time. Identify device names of that VDI, in each of the guests. Solaris chooses the name based on existing devices. The names may be the same, or may be different from each other. This step is shown below as "Step 1." Assumptions In the example shown below, I make these assumptions. The guest that will own the zone at the beginning is named sysA. The guest that will own the zone after the first migration is named sysB. On sysA, the shared disk is named /dev/dsk/c7t2d0 On sysB, the shared disk is named /dev/dsk/c7t3d0 (Finally!) The Steps Step 1) Determine the name of the disk that will move back and forth between the systems. root@sysA:~# format Searching for disks...done AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS: 0. c7t0d0 /pci@0,0/pci8086,2829@d/disk@0,0 1. c7t2d0 /pci@0,0/pci8086,2829@d/disk@2,0 Specify disk (enter its number): ^D Step 2) The first thing to do is partition and label the disk. The magic needed to write an EFI label is not overly complicated. root@sysA:~# format -e c7t2d0 selecting c7t2d0 [disk formatted] FORMAT MENU: ... format fdisk No fdisk table exists. The default partition for the disk is: a 100% "SOLARIS System" partition Type "y" to accept the default partition, otherwise type "n" to edit the partition table. n SELECT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: ... Specify Label type[1]: 1 Ready to label disk, continue? y format quit root@sysA:~# ls /dev/dsk/c7t2d0 /dev/dsk/c7t2d0 Step 3) Configure zone1 on sysA. root@sysA:~# zonecfg -z zone1 Use 'create' to begin configuring a new zone. zonecfg:zone1 create create: Using system default template 'SYSdefault' zonecfg:zone1 set zonename=zone1 zonecfg:zone1 set zonepath=/zones/zone1 zonecfg:zone1 add rootzpool zonecfg:zone1:rootzpool add storage dev:dsk/c7t2d0 zonecfg:zone1:rootzpool end zonecfg:zone1 exit root@sysA:~# oot@sysA:~# zonecfg -z zone1 info zonename: zone1 zonepath: /zones/zone1 brand: solaris autoboot: false bootargs: file-mac-profile: pool: limitpriv: scheduling-class: ip-type: exclusive hostid: fs-allowed: anet: ... rootzpool: storage: dev:dsk/c7t2d0 Step 4) Install the zone. This step takes the most time, but you can wander off for a snack or a few laps around the gym - or both! (Just not at the same time...) root@sysA:~# zoneadm -z zone1 install Created zone zpool: zone1_rpool Progress being logged to /var/log/zones/zoneadm.20121022T163634Z.zone1.install Image: Preparing at /zones/zone1/root. (Again, the safest method is to use "zonecfg ... export" on sysA as described in section "Method Overview" above.) The one difference is the name of the rootzpool storage device, which was shown in the list of assumptions, and which you must determine by booting sysB and using the "format" or "zpool import" command. When that is done, you should see the output shown next. Add space to the zone by adding a second storage device to the rootzpool. Make sure that you add it to the configurations of both zones! Create a new zone, specifying two disks in the rootzpool when you first configure the zone. When you install that zone, or clone it from another zone, zoneadm uses those two disks to create a mirrored pool. (Three disks will result in a three-way mirror, etc.) Conclusion Hopefully you have seen the ease with which you can now move Solaris Zones from one system to another.

  • HTMLAgilityPack ChildNodes index works, named node does not

    - by XgenX
I am parsing an XML API response with HTMLAgilityPack. I am able to select the result items from the API call. Then I loop through the items and want to write the ChildNodes to a table. When I select ChildNodes by saying something like: sItemId = dnItem.ChildNodes(0).innertext I get the proper itemId result. But when I try: sItemId = dnItem.ChildNodes("itemId").innertext I get "Referenced object has a value of 'Nothing'." I have tried "itemID[1]", "/itemId[1]" and a veriety of strings. I have tried SelectSingleNode and ChildNodes.Item("itemId").innertext. The only one that has worked is using the index. The problem with using the index is that sometimes child elements are omitted in the results and that throw off the index. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?

On Saturday Tomas announced the feature complete MySQL 5.6 Release Candidate that is now available for Community adoption and testing. This announcement marks the sprint to GA that should be ready for release within the next 90 days. You can get a quick summary of the key 5.6 features here or better yet download the 5.6 RC (under “Development Releases”), review what's new and try it out for yourself! There were also product related announcements around MySQL Cluster 7.3 and MySQL Enterprise Edition . This latter announcement is of particular interest if you are faced with internal and regulatory compliance requirements as it addresses and solves a pain point that is shared by most developers and DBAs; new, out of the box compliance for MySQL applications via policy-based audit logging of user and query level activity. This is mainly due to how web-based applications have evolved from nice-to-have enablers to mission-critical revenue generation and the important role MySQL plays in the new dynamic. In today’s virtual marketplace, PCI compliance guidelines ensure credit card data is secure within e-commerce apps; from a corporate standpoint, Sarbanes-Oxely, HIPAA and other regulations guard the medical, financial, public sector and other personal data centric industries. For supporting applications audit policies and controls that monitor the eyes and hands that have viewed and acted upon the most sensitive of data is most commonly implemented on the back-end database. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} With this in mind, MySQL 5.5 introduced an open audit plugin API that enables all MySQL users to write their own auditing plugins based on application specific requirements. While the supporting docs are very complete and provide working code samples, writing an audit plugin requires time and low-level expertise to develop, test, implement and maintain. To help those who don't have the time and/or expertise to develop such a plugin, Oracle now ships MySQL 5.5.28 and higher with an easy to use, out-of-the-box auditing solution; MySQL Enterprise Audit. MySQL Enterprise Audit The premise behind MySQL Enterprise Audit is simple; we wanted to provide an easy to use, policy-based auditing solution that enables you to quickly and seamlessly add compliance to their MySQL applications. MySQL Enterprise Audit meets this requirement by enabling you to: 1. Easily install the needed components. Installation requires an upgrade to MySQL 5.5.28 (Enterprise edition), which can be downloaded from the My Oracle Support portal or the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. After installation, you simply add the following to your my.cnf file to register and enable the audit plugin: [mysqld] plugin-load=audit_log.so (keep in mind the audit_log suffix is platform dependent, so .dll on Windows, etc.) or alternatively you can load the plugin at runtime: mysql> INSTALL PLUGIN audit_log SONAME 'audit_log.so'; 2. Dynamically enable and disable the audit stream for a specific MySQL server. A new global variable called audit_log_policy allows you to dynamically enable and disable audit stream logging for a specific MySQL server. The variable parameters are described below. 3. Define audit policy based on what needs to be logged (everything, logins, queries, or nothing), by server. The new audit_log_policy variable uses the following valid, descriptively named values to enable, disable audit stream logging and to filter the audit events that are logged to the audit stream: "ALL" - enable audit stream and log all events "LOGINS" - enable audit stream and log only login events "QUERIES" - enable audit stream and log only querie events "NONE" - disable audit stream 4. Manage audit log files using basic MySQL log rotation features. A new global variable, audit_log_rotate_on_size, allows you to automate the rotation and archival of audit stream log files based on size with archived log files renamed and appended with datetime stamp when a new file is opened for logging. 5. Integrate the MySQL audit stream with MySQL, Oracle tools and other third-party solutions. The MySQL audit stream is written as XML, using UFT-8 and can be easily formatted for viewing using a standard XML parser. This enables you to leverage tools from MySQL and others to view the contents. The audit stream was also developed to meet the Oracle database audit stream specification so combined Oracle/MySQL shops can import and manage MySQL audit images using the same Oracle tools they use for their Oracle databases. So assuming a successful MySQL 5.5.28 upgrade or installation, a common set up and use case scenario might look something like this: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} It should be noted that MySQL Enterprise Audit was designed to be transparent at the application layer by allowing you to control the mix of log output buffering and asynchronous or synchronous disk writes to minimize the associated overhead that comes when the audit stream is enabled. The net result is that, depending on the chosen audit stream log stream options, most application users will see little to no difference in response times when the audit stream is enabled. • Spring roo Vs (Wicket and Spring)

    - by Ketan Khairnar
Spring roo is new framework and I found it very interesting. I have been working on web application for last 3-4 years and Always found JSPs are hard to maintain across teams if everyone is not disciplined enough about separation of markup and serverside logic. I have used JackBe/BackBase in last projects and I enjoyed xml templates working as views. This was much better than JSPs. But I couldnt automate webtests through selenium for backbase. I would be surely using Spring MVC (-view), Hibernate on the backend. I found Wicket as good alternative. Have you used wicket along with Spring and what was your experience?

  • ruby/ruby on rails memory leak detection

    - by Josh Moore
I wrote a small web app using ruby on rails, its main purpose is to upload, store, and display results from xml(files can be up to several MB) files. After running for about 2 months I noticed that the mongrel process was using about 4GB of memory. I did some research on debugging ruby memory leaks and could not find much. So I have two questions. Are there any good tools that can be used to find memory leaks in Ruby/rails? What type of coding patterns cause memory leaks in ruby?

  • Is there a JSON parser for VB6 / VBA?

    - by Ben McCormack
I'm trying to consume a web service in VB6. The service (which I control) currently can return a SOAP/XML message or JSON. I'm having a really difficult time figuring out if VB6's SOAP type (version 1) can handle a returned object (as opposed to simple types like string, int, etc.). So far I can't figure out what I need to do to get VB6 to play with returned objects. So I thought I might serialize the response in the web service as a JSON string. Does a JSON parser exist for VB6?

  • converting JSON to an object / dictionary / dynamic

    - by benpage
I'm currently using jqGrid to display data. Part of jqGrid's interface will give you search options, posting back the search details in a JSON string, for example: {"groupOp":"AND","rules":[{"field":"PersonID","op":"eq","data":"123"},{"field":"LastName","op":"eq","data":"Smith"}]} (meaning i'm searching for personID = 123, and LastName = 'Smith') so what i'm hoping to do is somehow convert that back into something i can use server-side. Does anyone have a solution for this that may convert it back into an object of some kind? My current solution would be to convert into xml, parse with linq and create instances of my own 'search' class with a 'rules' collection.

But make don't understand: make: *** No rule to make target `abstract-window.c', needed by `gtkbuilder2vala-abstract-window.o'. Stop. This seems to be a limitation of make: http://www.ensta.fr/~diam/dev/online/autoconf/autobook/autobook_180.html if the translation takes three steps--from .m' to.x', then from .x' to.c', and finally to `.o'---then Automake's simplistic approach will break. • How to avoid avoid linebreaks and spaces for XmlWellFormedWriter

Hi, i am getting an XmlWriter of the AppendChild() method of a xPathNavigator. using (XmlWriter writer = xPathNavigator.AppendChild()) { writer.WriteStartAttribute("name"); writer.WriteEndElement(); } The AppendChild() method returns a instance of XmlWellFormedWriter. I want to avoid linebreaks and spaces in my output xml. But the XmlWriterSettings are readonly and using an wrapper does not help anything. I tried this, but the setting of nether the wrapper nor the writer changes: XmlWriterSettings settings = new XmlWriterSettings(); settings.IndentChars = ""; settings.NewLineChars = ""; using (XmlWriter wrapper = xPathNavigator.AppendChild()) { XmlWriter writer = XmlWriter.Create(writer, settings); writer.WriteStartAttribute("name"); writer.WriteEndElement(); } Does anybody has an idea what todo? • Exceptions using CruiseControl.NET

    - by Andy
I recently updated to CC.NET 1.5 and I'm now getting some strange exceptions. On one project I get: - ThoughtWorks.CruiseControl.Core.CruiseControlException: Source control operation failed: svn: Can't create a character converter from native encoding to 'UTF-8' This happens when CC is checking a subversion repository for any mods. If I run the actual command line CC says is failing it works and returns an empty XML (there are no mods). Some other projects also fail to check mods with another "Source control operation failed" exception but no further info. Again the command is an "svn log" which when run from command line works ok.
