So, say I had a table like this: <table id="table-1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <tr><td>1</td></tr> <tr><td>2</td></tr> <tr><td>3</td></tr> <tr><td>4</td></tr> <tr><td>5</td></tr> <tr><td>6</td></tr> </table> and wanted to some sort of button that had javascript behind it that could rotate the table any which direction. For example, clicking the right button, results in: <table id="table-1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <tr><td>6</td><td>5</td><td>4</td><td>3</td><td>2</td><td>1</td></tr> </table> I have a drag and drop plugin that uses a table, and I am trying to do a piece that allows for a user to add to a queue (that results in the table), and then they can also rotate it around as well. Are units of 770 is pixels and 210 is mm ? Similarly, when I write $(document).height() and $(window).height() , there is a difference . What is the reason ?

  • Have a child window be notified when parent window goes to a different page?

    i have a parent window and a child window. in javascript, i want a function in child window to be called whenever the parent window loads a new page. i'd like to use something similar to jQuery's $(document).ready() so that I don't have to worry about whether the parent is done loading yet - but ready() only appears to fire when the window loads the first page - but not when, say, a link is clicked in the parent and it loads a second page. any suggestions? thanks.

When we scroll that page down, older posts will be added to the end of the page (and maybe some posts at the beginning of the page but outside the view port will be removed).     I have a form that lets a user enter their career history - it's a very simple form with only 3 fields - type (dropdown), details (textfield) and year (dropdown). Basically I want to include some dynamic functionality whereby the user can enter multiple items on the same page and then submit them all in one go. I had a search on Google and found some examples but they were all based on tables - my markup is based on DIV tags: <div class="form-fields"> <div class="row"> <label for="type">Type</label> <select id="type" name="type"> <option value="Work">Work</option> </select> </div> <div class="row"> <label for="details">Details</label> <input id="details" type="text" name="details" /> </div> <div class="row"> <label for="year">Year</label> <select id="year" name="year"> <option value="2010">2010</option> </select> </div> </div> So basically the 3 DIV tags with class "row" need to be duplicated, or to simplify things - the div "form-fields" could just be duplicated. I am also aware that the input names would have to converted to array format. Additionally each item will require a "remove" button. There will be a main submit button at the bottom which submits all the data. Anyone got an elegant solution for this?
