    Hi, We have a TFS2008 server with multiple team projects (about 20) What is the best way to migrate to TFS2010 without losing the history. I believe there are 2 ways, correct me if I'm wrong: installing a fresh tfs2010 and importing the DB from TFS 2008 or in-place upgrade. What is your recommendation and why? Are there any issue I should be prepared to face? Any advice is welcome.

    I need to compare documents stored in a DB and come up with a similarity score between 0 and 1. The method I need to use has to be very simple. Implementing a vanilla version of n-grams (where it possible to define how many grams to use), along with a simple implementation of tf-idf and Cosine similarity. Is there any program that can do this? Or should I start writing this from scratch?

  • Objective-C++ pre-compiled headers

    I'm using a C++ library (it happens to be in an iPad application, but I'm not sure that should make any difference) and would really like to have the headers pre-compiled to speed up the builds, but xCode seems to run the pre-compiled header file through the C compiler rather than the C++ one. Is there a way to get it to use the right compiler? I've already changed all of my source files from .m to .mm.

  • Removing offline/defunct files in SQL server 2008

    How to remove traces of files marked as OFFLINE or DEFUNCT in Microsoft SQL server 2008? I have been playing around with a setup where I create a database with 3 file-groups which are: Primary, FileGroupData and FileGroupIndex. The clustered index is using FileGroupData and a non-clustered index is set to use FileGroupIndex. To simulate a disk failure I've shut down SQL server and manually deleted the files in index file-group. To start the database I'll mark the files 'OFFLINE', but after that I can't delete the index files, which are now offline. I don't have backup of the files as they are merely indices, but that has the implication that I can't restore the files and have their status as "ONLINE". How would you recommend removing the files and the file-group as they still show up in management studio under files/file-groups. Management studio is not able to delete them.   • UINavigationBar height

    In my app I work with an UINavigationController. I've added it to the window (MainWindow.xib, with IB) and simulated on my main view (in IB: Simulated User Elements / Top Bar / Navigation Bar). Navigation bar is displayed, but its height isn't standard. At least in IB it is bigger than in launched app. What's wrong? And how can I restore height to the initial state (as in IB)? P.S.: I know that I can set it directly from code. But this way looks like a "crutch".

  • NFS issue: clients can mount shares as NFSv3 but not as NFSv4 -- or how to debug NFS?

    Problem description I have a file server running Debian. On it I have a few NFS shares. When I mount the shares from a client using NFSv3 (mount.nfs 10.0.0.51:/exports/video /mnt -o vers=3,soft,intr,timeo=10), it works. However, I would like to use NFSv4 because of improved security and performance. When I try to mount an NFSv4 share on malbec the mount command just hangs and finally times out after 2 minutes. How do I make the clients mount the NFSv4 shares as NFSv4? How do I troubleshoot NFS? There is no information in the syslog on neither client nor server. What are any errors in my configuration?   • "Stream" tar action from remote server through Putty?

    I am accessing a shared hosting account through Putty / SSH. The account is pretty full, 300 MB below its quota. I need to make a full backup of all data present on the account. Creating a bzip2 file using tar cjf archive.tar.bz2 directory/* fails because there is not enough space for the tar. Does anybody know a way to create a tar file and "stream" it to a local file on my PC? Through putty or any other SSH tool?

'assets/attachments/instructions.pdf')); $swift->send(); The email::connect() returns an instance of SwiftMailer. As per these docs, it would seem that it should work. However, I get an error Fatal error: Call to undefined method Swift_Mailer::setSubject() in /home/user/public_html/application/classes/controller/properties.php on line 45 I've seen that email::connect() does exactly what the example code in the docs does. That is include the correct file return an instance of the library What am I doing wrong? Thanks

  • Time Machine (OSX) doesn't back up files in Mount Point or Disk Image File

    I found this Q&A (http://superuser.com/questions/148849/backup-mounted-drive-of-an-image-in-time-machine) and this prompted me to ask the following question: I have two disk images which are scripted to be mounted on login. These two disk images are always mounted to the same location. These two disk images are encrypted TrueCrypt volumes. Time Machine (TM) will only back up the disk images the first time they are mounted, but not after that. As I modify documents within the volumes throughout the day, the modified timestamps are adjusted properly. However, TM does not back them up. TM never backs up the mount points which are two folders within my home directory. Any ideas as to why neither the mount point or the image files are backed up? Do the image files have to be closed (unmounted) after being modified for TM to back them up? Thanks, Chris

  • Why is drawing to OnPaint graphics faster than image graphics?

    I'm looking for a way to speed up the drawing of my game engine, which is currently the significant bottleneck, and is causing slowdowns. I'm on the verge of converting it over to XNA, but I just noticed something. Say I have a small image that I've loaded. Image img = Image.FromFile("mypict.png"); We have a picturebox on the screen we want to draw on. So we have a handler. pictureBox1.Paint += new PaintEventHandler(pictureBox1_Paint); I want our loaded image to be tiled on the picturebox (this is for a game, after all). Why on earth is this code: void pictureBox1_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { for (int y = 0; y < 16; y++) for (int x = 0; x < 16; x++) e.Graphics.DrawImage(image, x * 16, y * 16, 16, 16); } over 25 TIMES FASTER than this code: Image buff = new Bitmap(256, 256, PixelFormat.Format32bppPArgb); // actually a form member void pictureBox1_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { using (Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(buff)) { for (int y = 0; y < 16; y++) for (int x = 0; x < 16; x++) g.DrawImage(image, x * 16, y * 16, 16, 16); } e.Graphics.DrawImage(buff, 0, 0, 256, 256); } To eliminate the obvious, I've tried commenting out the last e.Graphics.DrawImage (which means I don't see anything, but it gets rid a call that isn't in the first example). I've also left in the using block (needlessly) in the first example, but it's still just as blazingly fast. I've set properties of g to match e.Graphics - things like InterpolationMode, CompositingQuality, etc, but nothing I do bridges this incredible gap in performance. I can't find any difference between the two Graphics objects. What gives? My test with a System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch says that the first code snippet runs at about 7100 fps, while the second runs at a measly 280 fps. My reference image is VS2010ImageLibrary\Objects\png_format\WinVista\SecurityLock.png, which is 48x48 px, and which I modified to be 72 dpi instead of 96, but those made no difference either.

  • can you customize adobe acrobat reader "security warning"

    We need to insert a web beacon (i know taboo) in to adobe PDFs to know when they are opened, as one of our clients is moving to a model of "giving" their documents away and following up repeat viewers for subscriptions. Its not enough to be able to provide a download, they want to attach the PDF to an email and "blast" to directed recipients (double-opt-in etc). Adding the javascript to the pdf is easy enough: (iText) and the "openAction" event. However the security box pops up and displays: "Security Warning" "Document is trying to connect to 'xxxx.yyy.com' if you trusty the site choose Allow. If do not trust the site choose Block" [help] [allow] [block] I don't think we need to completley overhaul the dialogue box, I just think we need to change the middle text to be more descriptive of why we are doing it.     I have a ToolStrip with a ToolStripComboBox control on it, and I would like it to autosize to fit the widest item in the drop down list. How can I accomplish that? The "Autosize" property is set to "true", but it doesn't seem to be making any difference. I've been banging my head over this for a while. Is it even possible?

  • an attempt was made to logon, but the network logon service was not started

    We've recently had a catastrophic raid failure on our servers, which were being backed up with shadow protect. After 3 days of copying I finally got our file server back in a VM. As we used a 'virtualboot' for the file server in the meantime, I effectively had two copies of the server on the network at once. In order to copy back the files that changed, I tried to rename the file server, and change its IP address (I should also mention, the file server is a backup DC). When I renamed it, it came up with an error, so I rebooted. Now I can't login, it says "an attempt was made to logon, but the network logon service was not started" I don't care if I have to recreate the Vm and reinstall windows, but I would like to be able to get the files off this VM. How can I get access to it?

  • How can I pad an image with CodeIgniter?
