I am creating a messaging system but the problem I face is that when users try and enter certain characters like ' into the message, the database doesnt want to allow it.
Any idea what this is?

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the proper syntax & formatting for a service account to send a POST Object to bucket request? I'm attempting it programmatically using the HttpComponents library. I manage to get a token from my GoogleCredential, but every time I construct the POST request, I get:
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access denied.</Message><Detailsbucket-name</Details></Error
The Google documentation that describes the request methods, mentions posting using html forms, but I'm hoping that wasn't suggesting the ONLY way to get the job done. I know that HttpComponents has a way to explicitly create form data by using UrlEncodedFormEntity, but it doesn't support multipart data. Which is why I went with using the MultipartEntity class. My code is below:
MultipartEntity entity = new MultipartEntity( HttpMultipartMode.BROWSER_COMPATIBLE );
String token = credential.getAccessToken();
entity.addPart("Authorization", new StringBody("OAuth " + token));
String date = formatDate(new Date());
entity.addPart("Date", new StringBody(date));
entity.addPart("Content-Encoding", new StringBody("UTF-8"));
entity.addPart("Content-Type", new StringBody("multipart/form-data"));
entity.addPart("bucket", new StringBody(bucket));
entity.addPart("key", new StringBody("fileName"));
entity.addPart("success_action_redirect", new StringBody("/storage"));
File uploadFile = new File("pathToFile");
FileBody fileBody = new FileBody(uploadFile, "text/xml");
entity.addPart("file", fileBody);
httppost.setEntity(entity);
System.out.println("Posting URI = "+httppost.toString());
HttpResponse response = client.execute(httppost);
HttpEntity resp_entity = response.getEntity();
As I mentioned, I am able to get an actual token, so I'm pretty sure the problem is in how I've formed the request as opposed to not being properly authenticated.
Keep in mind:
This is being performed by a service account.
Which means that it does have Read/Write access
Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any help!
The actual situation is a bit complicated, but the issue I'm running into is that I have an echo command within an eval command. Like so:
$ eval echo 'keep my spacing'
keep my spacing
$ echo 'keep my spacing'
keep my spacing
I was wondering how I could keep eval from stripping my spacing so that the first command prints out the same message as the second...
I have a program developed for Windows XP, but when I try to install it in Windows Vista, I get an error message saying that the SQL database (sqlite3) is read only. Is that due to a feature in Windows Vista?
So I'm trying to write a simple TCP socket server that broadcasts information to all connected clients. So when a user connects, they get added to the list of clients, and when the stream emits the close event, they get removed from the client list.
This works well, except that sometimes I'm sending a message just as a user disconnects.
I've tried wrapping stream.write() in a try/catch block, but no luck. It seems like the error is uncatchable.
i am working with pdf in php . i got an fatal error

I am using mysqli_stmt_bind_param() to create an INSERT statement. For some reason I am getting an error. I used mysqli_error() to see the error message, but it's not especially useful.
Is there a way to just see what query is actually being executed?
I'm trying to use the sample code here:
I went to "Add Reference" dialog and added "Microsoft Word 12 library", but it doesn't appear in the Solution Explorer. I also added: using Microsoft.Office;
I get the following error message when trying to declare a "Word" object.
Error 1: The type or namespace name 'Word' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
Any suggestions on how to properly reference the Word library?
Hi,
Recently the DataSheet view of my list refuses to dispaly. I tried numerouse times and with no luck. Other lists works just fine, except for this one.
there is a Java error message on the left bottom corner of the screen that disapears in 2 seconds, then it renders the list in Standard view any time you try it.
I even created a new Datasheet View - the result a Standard View.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I have a SplashScreen shown while my application loads in the background.
Unfortunately, if any errors occur during the application's initialisation a MessageBox is shown - but is behind the splash. This prevents the user from seeing the message, and from dismissing it (the only way to quit is through task manager).
Q: Is there any way of hiding the SplashScreen if any errors occur, or allowing MessageBoxes to display above it?

HI I'd like to know how to check out the speed of a file being uploaded in real time using the curl library in c++. This is what I have written:
curl_easy_getinfo(curl,CURLINFO_SPEED_UPLOAD,&c);
But the manual says that it shows average speed, but even this doesn't seem to work with me, because I can only see a 0.
There is one more thing: How to set an upload limit that works, because if I write this:
curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_MAX_SEND_SPEED_LARGE, 100);
I get an error 502 message
plis help
Our program requires the user to hold the Alt+Shift keys together in order to carry out some operations. The problem is that Windows uses this combination to switch locale on some setups. Anyone got any ideas as to how we can "override" this behaviour of Windows whilst our program is running? Can we do some sort of message intervention?
hi folks, i'm using ip*works for download newsgroup message and insert them into a database... ipworks is "comfortable" to use because it automatically split nntp data return into different object (or variable). So i've "author" "date" "topic" "messagge" already splitted to my use.
However ipworks isn't free and it cost a lot for my use.. so i'm asking you some component or code snippet to use to download and "manage" nntp messagges.
Thanks in advance and regards!

I googled and found there are others also having this problem (here and this one on serverfault), but unluckily no fix yet.
PHP 5.2.8 (cli) (built: Dec 8 2008 19:31:23)

Is there an official fix for this yet?
I'm trying to recompile a project I've been working on and I keep getting an error message when trying to load a property file:
The system cannot find the path specified.
I guess this has to do with the classpath. But I've added the path to the file in Properties- Java build path- Libraries (external class).
I also checked the .classpath file generated by eclipse, and the path is really there!
Why isn't Eclipse looking at the right path?
I'm trying to create a new log file every hour with the following code running on a server. The first log file of the day is being created and written to fine, but no further log files that day get created. Any ideas what might be going wrong? No exceptions are thrown either.
private void LogMessage(Message msg)
{
using (StreamWriter sw = File.AppendText(_logDirectory + DateTime.Today.ToString("yyyyMMddHH") + ".txt"))
{
sw.WriteLine(msg.ToString());
}
}
I want to display a modal window with an error message, when the user has entered something invalid in a form, but render another action if everything is ok. However, when I try to display the modal window with
render :js => "jQuery.facebox(#{...})"
only the actual javascript called is displayed:
try {
jQuery.facebox(...)
} catch (e) { alert('RJS error:\n\n' + e.toString()); alert('jQuery.facebox(\"<div class=\'error\'>Error</div>\")'); throw e
}
decorator 1:
def dec(f):
def wrap(obj, *args, **kwargs):
f(obj, *args,**kwargs)
return wrap
decorator 2:
class dec:
def __init__(self, f):
self.f = f
def __call__(self, obj, *args, **kwargs):
self.f(obj, *args, **kwargs)
A sample class,
class Test:
@dec
def disp(self, *args, **kwargs):
print(*args,**kwargs)
The follwing code works with decorator 1 but not with decorator 2.
a = Test()
a.disp("Message")
I dont understand why decorator 2 is not working here. Can someone help me with this?

Hi, I'm working on Steganography application. I need to hide a message inside an image file and secure it with a password, with not much difference in the file size. I am using Least Significant Bit algorithm and could do it successfully with BMP files but it does not work with JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Does this algorithm work with these files at all? Is there a better way to achieve this? Thanks.
