  • jQuery UI datepicker options as varialbe

    - by Desmond Liang
    I have a number of inputs on a page function as JQ UI datepicker. Each needs to have different settings. I want to minimize the JS so I save the settings as an attribute in each individual . <input type="text" class="datepicker" name="dateofbirth" id="dateofbirth" size="20" value="" options="{ dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd',changeYear: true,yearRange: '1920:2010'}" /> <input type="text" class="datepicker" name="expdate" id="expdate" size="20" value="" options="{ yearRange: '2011:2020'}" /> I use js to load the options dynamically as the settings. $(document).ready(function(){ $(".datepicker").each(function(index){ $(this).datepicker("option" , $(this).attr('options')); }); }); datepicker is not functioning. If I empty the parentheses after $this.datepicker it works fine. I have also tried another way to assign settings. ("option",...) no dice.

  • How to access a field's value via reflection (Scala 2.8)

    - by soc
    Consider the following code: class Foo(var name: String = "bar") Now i try to get the value and the correct type of it via reflection: val foo = new Foo val field = foo.getDeclaredField("name") field.setAccessible(true) //This is where it doesn't work val value = field.get(????) I tried things like field.get(foo), but that just returns an java.lang.Object but no String. Basically I need the correct type, because I want to invoke a method on it (e. g. toCharArray). What is the suggested way to do that?

  • Execute method with Action<T> argument using Reflection

    - by JGr
    How can i create a Action method to use as a argument to the following function? public void When(Action<T> action) { if (internalValue != null) action(internalValue); } I have the MethodInfo on the method, and the parameter type like so: var methods = value.GetType().GetMethods(); MethodInfo mInfo = methods.First(method => method.Name == "When"); Type parameterType = (mInfo.GetParameters()[0]).ParameterType; But after that i have no idea how to make the actual Action method to pass as argument, i also do not know how to define the Action method body.

  • ASP.NET 4.5 Bundling in Debug Mode - Stale Resources

    - by RPM1984
    Is there any way we can make the ASP.NET 4.5 Bundling functionality generate GUID's as part of the querystring when running in debug mode (e.g bundling turned OFF). The problem is when developing locally, the scripts/CSS files are generated like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Content/Scripts/myscript.js" /> So if i change that file, i need to do a hard-refresh (sometimes a few times) to get the file to be picked up by the browser - annoying. Is there any way we can make it render out like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Content/Scripts/myscript.js?v=x" /> Where x is a GUID (e.g always unique). Ideas? I'm on ASP.NET MVC 4.

  • Extending both T and SomeInterface<T> in Java

    - by Graeme Moss
    I want to create a class that takes two parameters. One should be typed simply as T. The other should be typed as something that extends both T and SomeInterface. When I attempt this with public class SomeClass<T, S extends SomeInterface<T> & T> then Java complains with "The type T is not an interface; it cannot be specified as a bounded parameter" and if instead I attempt to create an interface for S with public interface TandSomeInterface<T> extends SomeInterface<T>, T then Java complains with "Cannot refer to the type parameter T as a supertype" Is there any way to do this in Java? I think you can do it in C++...?

  • Drupal Views how to filter items overlapping a date range

    - by Marcos Buarque
    Hi, in Drupal I have used CCK to add a datetime field to my custom data type. It inserts start date and end date fields. That is what I want. Now, I want Views to filter and show only the items that have the daterange (start date and end date) overlapping today's date. Any ideas on how to set it up on Views? What I think is strange is that the date fields of my custom content type don't seem to appear on the Views list when I am trying to add a filter. Thanks.

  • how to use a pear package!?

    - by Naughty.Coder
    I want to use HTTP_DOWNLOAD to manage my downloads ,, I have never used PEAR before !! HTTP_DOWNLOAD depends on many other packages , I downloaded them and the ones they , in turn , depend on and this is the structure I made : Download.PHP <---HTTP_DOWNLOAD MAIN FILE Header.php <--- HTTP_HEADER MAIN FILE PEAR.php PEAR5.php Type.php <--- MIME_Type >Type <---- FOLDER - Extension.php MIME_Type File - Parameter.php MIME_Type File assuming that Http_DOWNLOAD depends on : * PHP 4.2.0 * PEAR 1.4.0b1 * PEAR * HTTP_Header * pcre extension * Archive_Tar (Optional) * Archive_Zip (Optional) * MIME_Type (Optional) * mime_magic extension (Optional) * pgsql extension (Optional) and I edited the paths inside each file to reflect this structure , and I tried to run the following code : <?php require_once 'Download.php'; $params = array('file'=>'file.zip'); $down = new HTTP_Download($params); $down->send(true); ?> nothing happens !! I also got a hard time trying to figure how to use the class and I think this code should work .. but not sure ! Help Please !

  • SecurityException from Activator.CreateInstance(), How to grant permissons to Assembly?

    I have been loading an assembly via Assembly.LoadFrom(@"path"); and then doing Type t = asm.GetType("Test.Test"); test = Activator.CreateInstance(t, new Object[] { ... }); and it was working fine, but now I moved the dll I am getting the following System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. --- System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissons.SecurityPermission, etc .. For the sake of brevity it seems the demand was for an PermissionSet that allowed ControlAppDomain and it's not getting it. My question is how can I create this permissionset and pass it to the instance or assembly? I've been googling for hours to no avail.

  • Is it OK to open a DB4o file for query, insert, update multiple times?

    - by Khnle
    This is the way I am thinking of using DB4o. When I need to query, I would open the file, read and close: using (IObjectContainer db = Db4oFactory.OpenFile(Db4oFactory.NewConfiguration(), YapFileName)) { try { List<Pilot> pilots = db.Query<Pilot>().ToList<Pilot>(); } finally { try { db.Close(); } catch (Exception) { }; } } At some later time, when I need to insert, then using (IObjectContainer db = Db4oFactory.OpenFile(Db4oFactory.NewConfiguration(), YapFileName)) { try { Pilot pilot1 = new Pilot("Michael Schumacher", 100); db.Store(pilot1); } finally { try { db.Close(); } catch (Exception) { }; } } In this way, I thought I will keep the file more tidy by only having it open when needed, and have it closed most of the time. But I keep getting InvalidCastException Unable to cast object of type 'Db4objects.Db4o.Reflect.Generic.GenericObject' to type 'Pilot' What's the correct way to use DB4o?

  • LinqToSql: insert instead of update

    I am stuck with this problems for a long time now. Everything I try to do is insert a row in my DB if it's new information - if not update the existing one. I've updated many entities in my life before - but what's wrong with this code is beyond me (probably something pretty basic) I guess I can't see the wood for the trees... private Models.databaseDataContext db = new Models.databaseDataContext(); internal void StoreInformations(IEnumerable<EntityType> iEnumerable) { foreach (EntityType item in iEnumerable) { EntityType type = db.EntityType.Where(t => t.Room == iEnumerable.Room).FirstOrDefault(); if (type == null) { db.EntityType.InsertOnSubmit(item); } else { cur.Date = item.Date; cur.LastUpdate = DateTime.Now(); cur.End = item.End; } } } internal void Save() { db.SubmitChanges(); }

  • How to get JSON back from HTTP POST Request (to another domain)

    - by roman m
    I'm trying to use the API on a website, here's the part of the manual: Authenticated Sessions (taken from here) To create an authenticated session, you need to request an authToken from the '/auth' API resource. URL: http://stage.amee.com/auth (this is not my domain) Method: POST Request format: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Response format: application/xml, application/json Response code: 200 OK Response body: Details of the authenticated user, including API version. Extra data: "authToken" cookie and header, containing the authentication token that should be used for subsequent calls. Parameters: username / password Example Request POST /auth HTTP/1.1 Accept: application/xml Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded username=my_username&password=my_password Response HTTP/1.1 200 OK Set-Cookie: authToken=1KVARbypAjxLGViZ0Cg+UskZEHmqVkhx/Pm...; authToken: 1KVARbypAjxLGViZ0Cg+UskZEHmqVkhx/PmEvzkPGp...== Content-Type: application/xml; charset=UTF-8 QUESTION: How do I get that to work? I tried jQuery, but it seems to have problem with XSS. Actual code snippet would be greatly appreciated. p.s. All I was looking for was WebClient class in C#

  • Web-based JSON editor that works like property explorer with AJAXy input form

    - by dreftymac
    Background: This is a request for something that may not exist yet, but I've been meaning to build one for a long time. First I will ask if anyone has seen anything like it yet. Suppose you have an arbitrary JSON structure like the following: { 'str_title':'My Employee List' ,'str_lastmod': '2009-June-15' ,'arr_list':[ {'firstname':'john','lastname':'doe','age':'33',} ,{'firstname':'jane','lastname':'doe','age':'34',} ,{'firstname':'samuel','lastname':'doe','age':'35',} ] } Question: Is there a web-based JSON editor that could take a structure like this, and automatically allow the user to modify this in a user-friendly GUI? Example: Imagine an auto-generated HTML form that displays 2 input-type-text controls for both title and lastmod, and a table of input-type-text controls with three columns and three rows for arr_list ... with the ability to delete or add additional rows by clicking on a [+][X] next to each row in the table. Big Idea: The "big idea" behind this is that the user would be able to specify any arbitrary (non-recursive) JSON structure and then also be able to edit the structure with a GUI-based interaction (this would be similar to the "XML Editor Grid View" in XML Spy).

  • generated service mock: everything but RhinoMocks fails?

    - by hko
    I have the "quest" to search for the next Mocking Framework for my company, and basically it's down to NSubstitute (simplest syntax, but no strict mocks), FakeItEasy(best reviews, Roy Osherove bonus, and slightly better lib support than NSubstitute), Moq (best "other libs support", biggest featureset, downside: mock.Object). We definitely want to move on from RhinoMocks, e.g. because of the unusefull interactiontest error messages (it should tell me what the parameter was instead, when a verification fails). So I was pretty surprised the other day (that was yesterday) when I found out RhinoMocks could do a thing where every other mock framework fails at: Mocking an autogenerated SomethingService (a typical VS autogenerated service with a default construtor in a partial class). Please don't argue about the design.. I intend to write lightweight integration tests (and some unit tests), and I can't mess around with the service, the product is installed on too many customers system. See this code: // here the NSubstitute and FakeItEasy equivalents throw an exception.. see below TicketStoreService fakeTicketStoreService = MockRepository.GenerateMock<TicketStoreService>(); fakeTicketStoreService.Expect(service => service.DoSomething(Arg.Is(new Guid())).Return(new Guid()); fakeTicketStoreService.DoSomething(Arg.Is(new Guid())); fakeTicketStoreService.VerifyAllExpectations(); Note that DoSomething is a non-virtual methodcall in an autogenerated class. So it shouldn't work, according to common knowledge. But it does. Problem is that it's the only (non commercial) framework that can do this: Rhino.Mocks works, and verification works too FakeItEasy says it doesn't find a default constructor (probably just wrong exception message): No default constructor was found on the type SomeNamespace.TicketStoreService Moq gives something sane and understandable: Invalid setup on a non-virtual (overridable in VB) member: service=> service.DoSomething Nsubstitute gives a message System.NotSupportedException: Cannot serialize member System.ComponentModel.Component.Site of type System.ComponentModel.ISite because it is an interface. I'm really wondering what's going on here with the frameworks, except Moq. The "fancy new" frameworks seem to have an initial perf hit too, probably preparing some Type cache and serializing stuff, whilst RhinoMocks somehow manages to create a very "slim" mock without recursion. I have to admit I didn't like RhinoMocks very well, but here it shines.. unfortunately. So, is there a way to get that to work with newer (non-commercial!) mocking frameworks, or somehow get a sane error message out of Rhino.Mocks? And why can Rhino.Mocks achieve this, when clearly every Mocking framework states it can only work with virtual methods when given a concrete class? Let's not derail the discussion by talking about alternative approaches like Extract&Override or runtime-proxy Mocking frameworks like JustMock/TypeMock/Moles or the new Fakes framework, I know these, but that would be less ideal solutions, for reasons beyond this topic. Any help appreciated..

  • Startup in Windows 7

    - by iira
    Hi, I am trying to add my program run in Windows 7 startup, but it does'nt works. My program has embedded uac manifest. My current way is by adding String Value at HKCU..\Run I found a manual solution for Vista from http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprosecurity/thread/81c3c1f2-0169-493a-8f87-d300ea708ecf 1. Click Start, right click on Computer and choose “Manage”. 2. Click “Task Scheduler” on the left panel. 3. Click “Create Task” on the right panel. 4. Type a name for the task. 5. Check “Run with highest privileges”. 6. Click Actions tab. 7. Click “New…”. 8. Browse to the program in the “Program/script” box. Click OK. 9. On desktop, right click, choose New and click “Shortcut”. 10. In the box type: schtasks.exe /run /tn TaskName where TaskName is the name of task you put in on the basics tab and click next. 11. Type a name for the shortcut and click Finish. Additionally, you need to run the saved scheduled task shortcut to run the program instead of running the application shortcut to ignore the IAC prompt. When startup the system will run the program via the original shortcut. Therefore you need to change the location to run the saved task. Please: 1. Open Regedit. 2. Find the entry of the startup item in Registry. It will be stored in one of the following branches. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run 3. Double-click on the correct key, change the path to the saved scheduled task you created. Is there any free code to add item with privileges option in scheduled task? I havent found the free one in torry.net Thanks a lot.

  • Is this code well-defined?

    - by Nawaz
    This code is taken from a discussion going on here. someInstance.Fun(++k).Gun(10).Sun(k).Tun(); Is this code well-defined? Is ++k Fun() evaluated before k in Sun()? What if k is user-defined type, not built-in type? And in what ways the above function calls order is different from this: eat(++k);drink(10);sleep(k); As far as I can say, in both situations, there exists a sequence point after each function call. If so, then why can't the first case is also well-defined like the second one? Section 1.9.17 of the C++ ISO standard says this about sequence points and function evaluation: When calling a function (whether or not the function is inline), there is a sequence point after the evaluation of all function arguments (if any) which takes place before execution of any expressions or statements in the function body. There is also a sequence point after the copying of a returned value and before the execution of any expressions outside the function.

  • Retrieve Button value with jQuery

    - by Simon Hutton
    A simple one, I'm trying to retrieve the value attribute of a button when its been pressed using jQuery, here's what I have: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('.my_button').click(function() { alert($(this).val()); }); }); </script> <button class="my_button" name="buttonName" value="buttonValue"> Button Label</button> In Firefox my alert displays 'buttonValue' which is great but in IE7 it displays 'Button Label'. What jQuery should I use to always get the button's value? Or should I be using a different approach? Many thanks. ANSWER: I'm now using <input class="my_button" type="image" src="whatever.png" value="buttonValue" />

  • Selenium: How to enter white space as the value of a text field?

    - by Andrew
    I have a form text field that is being populated with a default value. I would like to clear the value and enter white space to assert that the expected validation occurs. I am using Selenium RC and the PHPUnit Selenium extension. How can I achieve this? Note: I have already tried doing these, but they do not work: $this->type('FirstName', " "); //spaces $this->type('FirstName', "\t"); //tab character They clear the value from the field, but they do not enter the white space into the field.

  • Why wont this entire word doc file generate from my php script?

    - by CheeseConQueso
    Here's the php script I'm using on a linux environment: <?php include("../_inc/odbcw.php"); //connect string $cat = $_GET["cat"]; if($_GET["st"]){$crs_query = "select crs_no, title, credits, abstr, prereq, coreq, lab_fee from xxx where active = 'Y' and cat = '".$cat."' and spec_top = 'Y' and prog='UNDG' order by crs_no";} else {$crs_query = "select crs_no, title, credits, abstr, prereq, coreq, lab_fee from xxx where active = 'Y' and cat = '".$cat."' and prog='UNDG' order by crs_no";} $crs_result = @mysql_query($crs_query); header("Content-type: application/vnd.ms-word"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment;Filename=cat.doc"); echo "<html>"; echo "<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=Windows-1252\">"; echo "<body>"; echo '<table border=0 width = 700>'; if($_GET["st"]){echo '<tr><td><font face=arial size=2><center>CATALOGUE<br>COURSE DESCRIPTIONS - '.$cat.'<br>SPECIAL TOPICS</center></font></td></tr>';} else {echo '<tr><td><font face=arial size=2><center>CATALOGUE<br>COURSE DESCRIPTIONS - '.$cat.'</center></font></td></tr>';} echo '</table>'; echo '<hr width=700>'; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($crs_result)) { $crs_no = $row['crs_no']; $title = $row['title']; $credits = $row['credits']; $abstr = $row['abstr']; $prereq = $row['prereq']; $coreq = $row['coreq']; $lab_fee = $row['lab_fee']; $rowspan = 2; if($prereq) {$rowspan++;} if($coreq) {$rowspan++;} if($lab_fee=="Y") {$rowspan++;} echo "<table border=0 width = 700>"; echo "<tr>"; echo "<td rowspan=".$rowspan." valign=top width=100><font face=arial size=2>".$crs_no."</font></td>"; echo "<td valign=top><font face=arial size=2><u>".$title."</u></font></td> <td valign=top align=right><font face=arial size=2>".$credits."</font></td>"; echo "</tr>"; echo "<tr>"; echo "<td colspan=2 valign=top align=justify><font face=arial size=2>".$abstr."</font></td>"; echo "</tr>"; if($prereq) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td colspan=2 valign=top><font face=arial size=2>Prerequisite: ".$prereq."</font></td>"; echo "</tr>"; } if($coreq) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td colspan=2 valign=top><font face=arial size=2>Coerequisite: ".$coreq."</font></td>"; echo "</tr>"; } if($lab_fee=="Y") { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td colspan=2 valign=top><font face=arial size=2>Lab Fee Required</font></td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; echo "<br>"; } echo "</body>"; echo "</html>"; ?> Everything works fine before the inclusion of: header("Content-type: application/vnd.ms-word"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment;Filename=cat.doc"); echo "<html>"; echo "<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=Windows-1252\">"; echo "<body>"; These lines successfully bring up the dialogue box to open or save cat.doc, but after I open it, the only lines printed are: CATALOGUE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS - and the <HR> beneath this echoed text. It seems to go on lunch break for the while loop echoing section. Any ideas?

  • What is the basic design idea behind the Scala for-loop implicit box/unboxing of numerical types?

    I'm trying to understand the behavior of Scala for-loop implicit box/unboxing of "numerical" types. Why does the two first fail but not the rest? 1) Fails: scala for (i:Long <- 0 to 10000000L) {} <console>:19: error: type mismatch;<br> found : Long(10000000L) required: Int for (i:Long <- 0 to 10000000L) {} ^ 2 Fails: scala for (i <- 0 to 10000000L) {} <console>:19: error: type mismatch; found : Long(10000000L) required: Int for (i <- 0 to 10000000L) {} ^ 3) Works: scala for (i:Long <- 0L to 10000000L) {} 4) Works: scala for (i <- 0L to 10000000L) {}
