    A simple one, I'm trying to retrieve the value attribute of a button when its been pressed using jQuery, here's what I have: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('.my_button').click(function() { alert($(this).val()); }); }); </script> <button class="my_button" name="buttonName" value="buttonValue"> Button Label</button> In Firefox my alert displays 'buttonValue' which is great but in IE7 it displays 'Button Label'. What jQuery should I use to always get the button's value? Or should I be using a different approach? Many thanks.     I have been loading an assembly via Assembly.LoadFrom(@"path"); and then doing Type t = asm.GetType("Test.Test"); test = Activator.CreateInstance(t, new Object[] { ... }); and it was working fine, but now I moved the dll I am getting the following System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. --- System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissons.SecurityPermission, etc .. For the sake of brevity it seems the demand was for an PermissionSet that allowed ControlAppDomain and it's not getting it. My question is how can I create this permissionset and pass it to the instance or assembly? I've been googling for hours to no avail.

Restrictions r1 = Restrictions.maxLength.setValue(64); The reason being is, I am using enum to restrict the type of restriction that could be used, and be able to assign a value to that restriction.     I have a bit of a problem with ffmpeg-php. I'm trying to get some information from video files and it works pretty fine with file formats like .avi, .mpg or .flv but when I try to use .3gp or .mp4 in: $movie = new ffmpeg_movie('path/to/file/test.3gp'); I get error like this : ffmpeg_movie::__construct() []: ISO: File Type Major Brand: 3gp5 or ffmpeg_movie::__construct() []: ISO: File Type Major Brand: mp42 I installed ffmpeg-php on WAMP using instructions found here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1172916/how-to-install-ffmpeg-in-wampserver-2-0-windows-xp I need those information to send them to ffmpeg using exec().     As part of a mini-haskell compiler that I'm writing, I have a function named app. What I want this function to do is take in these arguments epp (App e1 e2). The first step would be to evaluate e1 recursively (epp e1) and check if the output would be an error. If not then evaluate e2 and then call another function eppVals to evaluate the outputs of the calls on e1 and e2 which I defined as v1 and v2 respectively. epp (App e1 e2) | epp e1 /= Error = eppVals v1 v2 | otherwise = Error where v1 = epp e1 v2 = epp e2 <- parse error on input `=' Logically I believe what I have written so far works but I'm getting a parse error on input = where I stated above. Any idea why? My second try epp :: Exp -> Error Val epp (App e1 e2) = (eppVals v1 v2) where v1 = (epp e1) v2 = (epp e2) But now throws Couldn't match expected type Val with actual type Error Val

I have a JS array that looks a little something like this: var suggestions = ["value1", "value2", "value3"]; Using jQuery, I did this: $("#search-input").attr("data-source", suggestions); Desired output: <input type='search' data-source='["value1", "value2", "value3"]' /> Actual output: <input type='search' data-source='value1, value2, value3' /> This breaks the autocomplete as it requires an array (or at least something that looks like a JavaScript array).

  • XenServer/Center: Shared SRs for hosts not in same pool?

    I would like to use the same SRs on XenServer hosts that are not able to be part of the same pool (because of not having the exact same cpu feature set, if I understand it correctly) in order to share templates, being able to (manually) start a host on another node, backing up running hosts on other hardware etc etc. The technology for SR can be any of iSCSI, NFS or CIFS, iSCSI would obviously be preferred. Trying to add an iSCSI volume renders a "This LUN is already in use as SR iSCSI - Shared Storage on pool xxxxxx.". Adding a NFS share on one XS host, creating a template there and then checking another XS host reveals they don't agree on used space etc. Coming from a vSphere world this is quite baffling, but if these are limitations then I will have to rethink some of the concepts for this low budget project.

  • rsync over ssh is not working anymore, while ssh itself is working fine (Write failed: broken pipe)

    This issue started happening after i changed router. This is the scenario: Windows7 Host Ubuntu 10.04 Guest (VirtualBox) Ubuntu 10.04 remote server What i used to do is run a very basic rsync command: rsync -avz --delete /local/path/ username@host:/path/to/remote/directory This worked perfect until i did change adsl provider, and i changed router aswell: now, this happens: rsync on Ubuntu Guest is not working anymore (to any random server), if using this new router rsync on Ubuntu Guest is WORKING, if i switch back to old router i tried a new virtual box ubuntu install, and the command is WORKING with both the routers So, the not-working-combo is oldUbuntu + newRouter. To get things worst, i can state that (on the not-working ubuntu) i ping the remote host plain ssh connection to the remote host is working fine (i can auth, connect, and do stuff on the remote host)   • Using GET Method to Maintain Variables After Logging In

    Hello, I am using a login system. When I navigate to comments/index.php without logging in, some variables get passed along using the GET method just fine. Then, if I log in while I am on this page, these variables disappear. The variables that disappear are $submission, $submissionid, and $url. I thought I could use the GET method to keep them live after logging in by appending ?submission='.$submission.'&submissionid='.$submissionid.'&url='.$url.' to the URL of the login form action as seen below. But the variables still disappeared after I made this addition. The relevant code I am trying to use is below. Any idea what I can do to make it do what I want?   • Process of carrying out a BER Test

    I am subscribed to an ISP supplying a 3meg ADSL line. Lately (for the last 4 weeks) speeds have dropped from the usual average downstream speed of ~250kbps to just 0.14Mbps (according to speedtest.net) and employees are complaining about lack of access to the server. I have been calling customer support and logging calls for the last 3 weeks, but they have been unable to determine the source of the problem other than carrying out a few bitstream tests and checking the DHCP renewal times. I am going to call back and suggest carrying out a BER test. What type of equipment is needed to carry out this test? I have access to a wide range of Cisco networking equipment. Other: We don't need a leased line as there are less than ten employees.

On first invocation of a URL the user is prompted with the typical https browser "security alert" popup, on selecting "Yes" the display of the PDF fails. The HTTP Header on the failed response is: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: ECS/HTTP-Server Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2010 15:57:26 GMT Content-type: application/pdf Content-language: en-US Set-cookie: JSESSIONID=0000r111cRz1Vc-PtCJg8Cdu4eR:-1; Path=/ Expires: Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT Cache-control: no-cache="set-cookie, set-cookie2" Connection: close Subsequent invocations of the URL successfully opens the PDF (at this point we have the session id cookie set by the initial failed request). When rendering the page for the first time, this works fine. At this point, i understand there is an error in the ApplyRequestValues Phases which is very early and so the previous state is restored and nothing changes. What I don't understand is that in order to fufill the condition for rendering "item.typeA" that object has to be an instance of TypeA. But here, it looks like that object passed the condition even though it was an instance of TypeB. It is like it is evaluating the inner dataTable (InnerItems) before evaluating the outer (outerItems). My working assumption is that I just don't understand how/when the rendered attribute is actually evaluated.

  • JQuery .submit() changes post data

    I'm posting a form with javascript and it seems to be changing a value that I've entered in. Html: <% using (Html.BeginForm("ChangeTime", "Cart", new { cartItemId = cartItem.CartItemID }, FormMethod.Post, null)) { %> <%= Html.TextBox("startTime")%> <input type="submit" value="Update" /> <% } %> JQuery: <script type="text/javascript"> $('#startTime').change(function() { $(this).parent('form').submit(); }); </script> When I put a time in the textbox (05/05/2010 06:08 am), the form is submitted, however the string as it comes through, is 05/05/2010 - with the time part removed. I see this in fiddler. If get rid of the javascript and click the button above, it goes through how it should. Why is JQuery changing my text?

    I have SSRS 2008 setup on the database server. The server is part of the domain. Reporting Services is running under NetworkService. When I try to add a domain user using the web interface (Site Settings -- Security -- New Role Assignment), the page posts back but the user is not in the list. App Type: Windows Phone 7.1 Using: 1) sql-net Version 1.0.5, Source Nuget thru Visual Studio 2) C# Sqlite for WP7 (wp7sqlite) ( Community.CSharpSqlite.WP7) Version 0.1.1, Source Nuget thru Visual Studio. The exact error I receive is below **Error 5 The best overloaded method match for Community.CsharpSqlite.Sqlite3.sqlite3_open(string, ref Community.CsharpSqlite.Sqlite3.sqlite3)' has some invalid arguments C:\Dev\Learning\SQLite.cs Line:2492 Column: 29 ** The next error then hints that it is related to the parameter being passed as "out" type instead of "ref" type. Error 6 Argument 2 must be passed with the 'ref' keyword C:\Dev\Learning\SQLite.cs Line: 2492 Column: 64 I can make the compile errors go away by replacing the "out" keyword with the "ref" keyword, but that is likely to lead to other issues.
