  Good morning.Myself stalin. am a php developer.am new to facebook integration. My requirement is, I need to share the images from mysite to facebook user profiles. ie, i have a page that list the images in mysite. if i click any one image , i need facebook login pop-up from ther i have to enter username ans password after clicking the login button my clicked images have to be post in user's album using php and facebook api. this is my urgent requirement. need help from your side.   Here's a situation that usually happens in some companies: Announce interesting product X. Promise a release date. Release on the promised released date, ready or not. Users discover and report defects. Send patch after patch after patch after patch after patch. My question is: Ummm, what could be the factors that would lead them to tolerate these undesirable practices? So, in the name of quality, what can be practically and realistically improved in those practicies? I can think of time constraints, user feedback, sponsors pressuring the company, lack of money.

• Google Analytics + External Site Statistics Tracking in one application?

  My company is a broker in the real estate industry. As such, we send a lot of our listings to sites like Trulia.com and Zillow.com, among others. These sites direct leads to our realtors, and provide us with reports every month detailing the activity our listings have had on their site-- links back to our website, emails generated, etc. Our Marketing and Advertising departments want to take that information and enter it into a system to keep track of everything in one place, for the purpose of producing comparison reports. I cannot find any externally available product that provides this functionality. I would sincerely like to avoid writing this tool myself. Does anyone know of a tool that could do this? In short, an ideal system would: Imports Google Analytics data via API Imports real estate listing site data via CSV import / manual entry Provides comparison reports based on data Does anyone know of anything pre-made that can do this?

• HELP! Problem Can't do anyting on ubuntu 13.10

  I upgraded from ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 but when i open my laptop it freezes before i can login ant the gnome 3 splash screen. alt ctrl + f(any) not working. the only thing i can do is manualy power off. I tryied everything on recovery mode screen and some stuff about grub (nomodeset quiet splash stuff i found at this forum) but nothing is working. I can't reach tty's to login so i can't reinstall drivers for my ati radeon mobility hd 5xxx. that is my secs http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VPCEB2E1E_WI/specifications .

• What do you need to master a language and its technology? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: how to really master a programming language Let say about Java(just a sample, you can talk about C#, PHP, C++ ... it's just similar) and 10 (ten) levels, 1 is newbie and 10 is master. How can you identify someone at which level based on his knowledge? I do not tend to compare languages, I do tend to know what indicate a master or a newbie in a language and its (language's) based technology. Yeah, I know there aren't on earth a language stand alone, it always come with a technology with it. Let say in Java, you can memorize all of its keyword and syntax in just few days, but to know it (I mean do something with it effectively), you must read the Oracle (Sun) javadoc many many times (I'm not mention the 3rd party product yet).

• How come many of the AppShowdown apps aren't available in Ubuntu anymore?

  After upgrading to 12.10 I've noticed that I can't install some of the nice apps created for the AppShowdown, such as: Cuttlefish Blubphone (Lightread also came out quite late in 12.10) It seems such a waste having these great new apps added to the repository, only to exclude them in the first next version. I'm wondering why aren't these apps automatically available in a newer version of Ubuntu. Is it simply that the API is so different that it requires major rewrites and programmer activity or is it some bureaucratic reason? Are there any plans to improve this process?

• Ubuntu 11.10 boot: xhost: unable to open display

  I've had this papercut for a while now, it's time it was fixed. When I boot up Ubuntu, choosing "Ubuntu...generic" from the grub screen, Ubuntu fails to load. It just sits at the driver/module loading screen. What seems to be the most significant line in this output is "xhost: unable to open display" If I choose "Ubuntu...(recovery mode)" from grub then it loads OK. I don't get why this is. Out of interest I tried enabling boot error logging with #/etc/default/bootlogd BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=Yes but I'm not seeing anything in that file. ETA: I've had this problem since fresh install of 11.10. • How is this paradigm/style called?

  I have the following situation: I'm developing an add-in for a UML modeling tool. The models that can be created by the user are stored inside the main application and a limited access to the models is given through its API. However, the add-in has a lot of callbacks for events that are triggered by the main application, when changes to the model occur by the user. Since the models are already stored once in the main application, I considered it not practicable to duplicate the models in the add-in, which leads to the fact that I have only behavior in the add-in, rather than having a state. This behavior is mainly expressed by static functions, that are organized in functional cohesive classes. The callbacks for the events have always references to the model elements relevant for the specifc event that ocurred. First, it seemed to me that this is a procedural style in general, but procedural style doesn't consider events/callbacks, so this boils down to the question. How is this programming style called?

  It occurred to me today that it might be useful to make a list of all the ways to earn money through either actual programming or just programming knowledge. I imagine it's probably a finite list as long as you stick to a reasonable level of granularity. Here's what I have so far: Trading your time for money (i.e. having a job or being a freelancer) Building your own software product (a full-fledged startup or a tiny mobile app or whatever) Giving talks at conferences and meetups Teaching students in a classroom Writing a book or blog (these are products, but non-software products) I've probably missed at least a few. What else is there? (I'm not sure whether this is an appropriate question, by the way. I think I would select the best answer based on how practical/original/interesting/numerous your suggestions are.)

• Reload Gtk+ 3.0 theme

  I'm trying to customize my Gtk+3.0 theme, when I make a change in my theme, I change between two themes (with MyUnity) to force applications to reload the theme and test mine. But when I do that, the theme is not refreshed to appreciate my changes, still in an old version, apparently Gtk+ is caching the theme information somewhere. When I close and reopen session, I can appreciate my theme changes, but doing this for each change made is very annoying. Is there a way to refresh my theme and see my changes (a command line program or an Gtk+ API call for example)?

  The number of URLs on my website is constantly growing (by 10-50 per week or so). Should I Regularly submit an updated sitemap including all URLs. Have a sitemap of only the static content of my website. Have some tool which automatically creates sitemaps on any changes. As for 3) is googlesitemapgenerator useful in this respect? I am a bit anxious allowing a beta product mess with my apache. Is anybody using it or has another recommendation of similar tools?

  We are worried about the security of our website containing the login-button to our saas-application. Security measures put in place for our application won't do us much good if the website is hacked. The login button could be redirected to some malicious copy of our app. The product website is maintained by people outside the dev team. Those people are not too knowledgable concerning security. We (dev-team) could mantain the website ourselves but that would be a large burden on our small team. How is this usually handled?

After years of operation I figured out that all the while what I was doing was a software engineer's job. There are several questions in my mind that I want to ask from you guys.
