In my app that you can download here: http://ge.tt/2DDqfJa I've started a discussion but is died here iOS TableView crash loading different data The problem is when I back from viewing the YouTube video to the recipes list, the app crash...     I have a plist with dictionary of array's with coordinates (stored as strings). I want to create a CLLocationCoordinate2D from every array and crate an overlay for the map. (BTW when i remove the addOverLay method the app does not crash). I have 2 questions- What am i doing wrong? I have tried to set the pointsArray count as the argument for the CLLocationCoordinate2D like that - CLLocationCoordinate2D pointsToUse[pointsArray count]; And i am getting an error.   • Is it possible to submit an update for an app on the AppStore without losing reviews?

    Whenever I submit an update for me app, the number of reviews visible for it drops to 0. If the customer bothers to click through they can see the previous versions' reviews... But the damage has been done. Since the app has 0 stars, I see a significant drop in sales. It takes the app a good week of earning new reviews to restore sales. I usually version the app as 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Is there something I can do during the update process to prevent losing reviews like this?

  • How to get indexPath.row at textFieldDidEndEditing

    Hey all, i use some code for inline cell editing from Apples TaggedLocations Example and im now stuck. At the demo Code they save the changes at textFieldDidEndEditing, this works because they asume to edit only the first element in a table view. I have to edit every row at the table view, so my problem is how to get indexPath.row to update the correct object stored in a mutableArray. Or did i miss something? Thanks for your help!

    How can we create a model in core data on the fly? I.e getting the schema of database from somewhere and then creating a Core Data Object graph? *QuesTion:* Yes thats fine, agreed with all the advantages. But, can anybody can tell practically, what is the benefit of integrating Core Data into project instead of using SQL directly. 1.No need to write SQL boiler plate code [but need to learn Core Data Model (steep curve)] 2.WE can undo and redo changes [but practically who needs it] 3.we can migrate to another schema [that can be done by SQLite as well jus need to add another field into table] 4.For say aggregation on some field in table,in Core Data we need to loop through Core Data Objects whereas in SQLite we need to first write SQLite Boiler Plate Code and then the basic aggregation SQL query,which is easy to write,only length of code will increase...But in case of Core Data (need to learn a lot). So apart from reducing the length of Code,does it actually adds value to project? or in terms of Memory Efficiency,Performance,etc.. PS: If anybody has actualy worked on Core Data(Model Creation On the Fly) , if possible share and gve pointers..thanks!

  • Android/ iOS how to determine small changes in distance using sensors?

    I have been doing a bit of research, but I cannot seem to find a way to determine small distances (centimeters and meters) using the sensors in Android or iOS devices. Bluetooth appears too inaccurate and require more than one device, GPS only works over larger variations in distance, and small variations in rotation seem to make using the accelerometer nearly impossible. Is there a method that I am unaware of that would allow me to do such a thing? I am familiar with Calculus, so using Integrals to determine distance based on changes in time and velocity/ acceleration is not a problem for me, I just do not know how to determine those things.     During loadView I am creating 20 UIButtons that I would like to change the title text of depending on the state of a UIPageControl. I have a pre-save plist that is loaded into a NSArray called arrChars on the event of the current page changing, I set the buttons titles to their relevant text title from the array. If there is a better way to track there I would love to know.

I was able to populate the rows and I know one needs to use didSelectRowAtIndexPath for handling on select event of the cell. But how can I implement action:@selector(gotoProd:) in tableviews ?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Moving UITableView row to top of list when selected

    I am sure this is an easy thing to do. I am very new to objective C (picked up a job the boss was going to outsource) and could use all the help I can get. Just point me in the right direction here. Basically what I want to set up is this: I have a list of phone numbers that expands to as many rows as needed. I have no problem populating and the list works fine, but I would like for all of the recently selected items in the list to be more easily accessible at the top. So, whenever the user "didSelectRowAtIndexPath", I would like the row to move to the top. I just KNOW this is super simple... but I haven't found the solution yet. No hurry. I am just trying to figure things out on my own. Thanks in advance!

  • Getting Values from fetched Core Data

    Hi there, Thanks to the wonderful people on this forum, I have overcome most of my Core Data woes. However one persists, and I'm certain it is a simple fix. I have a recipe app that parses an XML doc on load and puts the data in Core Data. Then I search that Core Data for particular recipes, ingredients, etc. Everything is working with one exception... I cannot do anything with the data I retrieve. For example, I search the core data for "eggplant" and get this at the end of the process: "<RecipeData: 0x6112a40> (entity: RecipeData; id: 0x6113880 <x-coredata:///RecipeData/tCDE9A0EE-DA3F-4BD0-AEF8-3C038586991D4> ; data: {\n ingredients = \"Eggplant|Cheese|Tomatoes|\";\n name = \"Eggplant Parm\";\n time = 40;\n})" How do I get the info out of there? I tried looping through, but that causes the app to crash: for (NSString* key in selectedRecipe) { id value = [selectedRecipe objectForKey:key]; NSLog(@"IN LOOP: %@", value); } Any suggestions?     I have an application containing a variety of view controllers linked together in different ways (Welcome Browse Preview OR Browse Preview OR Settings Splash). The first view controller is presented modally using a navigation controller from a main controller, then the next set of view controllers are added using pop and push. This works correctly, but I need to be able to define my 'UINavigationBar' and 'UIToolbar' within interface builder, so they still work as expected if they are presented without using a navigation controller.
