Download HTML and Images with WGet without first few lines

I'm attempting to use wget with the -p option to download specific documents and the images linked in the HTML. The problem is, the site that is hosting the HTML has some non-html information preceding the HTML. This is causing wget to not interpret the document as HTML and doesn't search for images. Is there a way to have wget strip the first X lines and/or force searching for images? Convert old NuSoap code into PHP core soap functions

Graphing new users by date in a Rails app using Seer

I'd like to implement a rolling graph showing new users by day over the last 7 days using Seer. I've got Seer installed: http://www.idolhands.com/ruby-on-rails/gems-plugins-and-engines/graphing-for-ruby-on-rails-with-seer I'm struggling to get my brain around how to implement. I've got an array of the Users I want to plot: @users = User.all( :conditions = {:created_at = 7.days.ago..Time.zone.now}) Can't see the right way to implement the :data_method to roll them up by created_at date. Anyone done this or similar with Seer? Anyone smarter than me able to explain this after looking at the Seer sample page (linked above)?

Tomcat cookies not working via my ProxyPass VirtualHost

Hi there. I'm having some issues with getting cookies to work when using a ProxyPass to redirect traffic on port 80 to a web-application hosted via Tomcat. My motivation for enabling cookies is to get rid of the "jsessionid=" parameter that is appended to the URLs. I've enabled cookies in my context.xml in META-INF/ for my web application. When I access the webapplication via http://url:8080/webapp it works as expected, the jsessionid parameter is not visible in the URL, instead it's stored in a cookie. When accessing my website via an apache2 virtualhost the cookies doesn't seem to work because now "jsessionid" is being appended to the URLs. How can I solve this issue? Basic HTTP Authentication using Obj C and Xcode.

Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone can help me with a question i have relating to Basic HTTP Authentication in an Xcode 2.3 application. Basically i have a PHP page that is on our server and when called with certain parameters returns data relating to the servers condition etc. i have managed to get a small Xcode application working where by it reads the data from the page and populates an NSTextView with the data. however to make sure this information stays safe i have setup basic HTTP Authentication on the page, but i cannot work out how to provide the username and password in XCode. here is my code to retrieve the page. Having trouble with fadeIn and fadeOut in IE8 with jQuery

Guys, Here is my site: http://www.dreamweddinggroup.com/redesign and I'm having a hell of a tough time figuring out why in gods name my fadeIn, fadeOut and corner() functions won't work in IE8. They were working for a time, but now they have broken and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Can anybody see anything that would cause the problem here? To see what I'm talking about, if you were to click on the "About Us" link at the bottom of the page, you should see the text fade in. Then if you were to click on "Why Dream Wedding Group", the "About Us" text should fade out, and when it fades back in, you would see the new text. Thank you, Joe

open_basedir vs sessions

On a virtual hosting server I have the open_basedir set to .:/path/to/vhost/web:/tmp:/usr/share/pear for each virtual host. I have a client who's running WordPress and he's complaining about open_basedir errors thus: PHP WARNING: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/lib/php/session/sess_42k7jn3vjenj43g3njorrnrmf2) is not within the allowed path(s): (.:/path/to/vhost/web:/tmp:/usr/share/pear) So the PHP session save_path isn't included in open_basedir but sessions across all sites on the server seems to be working fine apart from in this intermittent instance. I thought that perhaps the default session handler ignored open_basedir and this warning was caused by WP accessing the session file directly. However from what I can see PHP 5.2.4 introduced open_basedir checking to the session.save_path config: http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-5.php#5.2.4 (I am on PHP 5.2.13). Any ideas?

Hi I've embedded several views in a library so that I can re-use across projects using this method which works OK: http://www.wynia.org/wordpress/2008/12/aspnet-mvc-plugins/ But one view usings a Javascript file. I've tried marking this as an embedded resource and adding it AssemblyInfo.cs and then referencing this resource using <%= ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl(this.GetType(), "FullPath.FileName.js")%> This is literally displaying this output in the view WebResource.axd?d=nUxqfqAUQLabLU54W I think this is because Im trying to refer to an embedded resource from an embedded resource. What measures/software would you recomend, and why, to secure this server down and minimalize the attack vector? Webapplications aside ... Hi All, I'm trying to find some javascript code that I can embed on my website that will allow me to scroll content from left to right or right to left. This script here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/scrollc2.htm Has the basic functionality that I am looking for, but it scrolls content from top to bottom. I want to be able to scroll my content sideways and have it scroll when I hover over some arrows just like the above mentioned script does. Does anyone know of anything that will work for me? Hostgator SSH returns Too many authentication failures for username

I was trying to ssh into my Hostgator shared hosting account following this guide: http://support.hostgator.com/articles/getting-started/how-do-i-get-and-use-ssh-access However, it returns this error: Received disconnect from 96.125.167.124: 2: Too many authentication failures for tridn I tried to search around for a solution, and found this: http://www.ipreferjim.com/2011/07/hostgator-ssh-warns-too-many-authentication-failures/ I tried doing what he suggested, but encountered another error: jailshell: .ssh/authorized_keys: No such file or directory So I ssh into my server using the PubkeyAuthentication=n flag, and create a directory called .ssh and a file called authorized_keys. I then redid what was suggested in the article, which is this: cat ~/.ssh/hostgator.pub | ssh -p 2222 -o PubkeyAuthentication=no [email protected] 'cat >> .ssh/authorized_keys' (note: my ssh key is called hostgator.pub. it's dsa I verified that the authorized_keys now has the content of this key. However, it still get the same error as before: eceived disconnect from 96.125.167.124: 2: Too many authentication failures for tridn Anybody knows how I should proceed next?

Hi everyone! First, I'm very new in Delphi and COM, but I should build COM application in Delphi. I read a lot of articles and notes on the internets, but COM and COM in Delphi are still not clear to me. My sources - http://www.everfall.com/paste/id.php?wisdn8hyhzkt (about 80 lines). I try to make a COM Interface and Impl class - it works if I call an interface method from Delphi (I create an impl object via TestClient.Create), but if I try to create an object from outer world (from Java, via com4j) my application crashed with following exception: Project Kernel.exe raised exception class $C0000005 with message 'access violation at 0x00000002: read of address 0x00000002'. If I set a breakpoint in QueryInterface - it breaks, but when I come out from function - all crashes. What I'm doing wrong? What I still missing? What I can/should read about COM (in Delphi) to avoid dumb questions like this?

If I look at the Freebase page for the band '311', I see Chad Sexton listed. http://www.freebase.com/view/en/311 I am trying to query for the members of a band : { "name" : "311", "/music/artist/album" : [{"name":null, "id":null, "optional": true}], "type|=" : ["/music/artist","/music/musical_group"], "/award/award_winner/awards_won" : ["award":null, "optional" => true], "/award/award_nominated_work/award_nominations" : ["award":null, "optional" => true], "/music/artist/supporting_artists":[{}] } I thought supporting_artists would return the band member names, but the array is always empty. But if I query for all properties related to Chad Sexton, I don't see 311 mentioned. But he is listed as member on the Freebase web info page (which is correct). { "*": null, "name": "Chad Sexton", "type": "/music/artist" } How can I grab the band member names along with the band info?

jQuery validations not working in IE 7?

I have a problem. The client is claiming that a prize signup form I built for them is not working in IE 7. It works in IE 8 just fine which they agree about, but in IE 7 it doesn't. (luckily they don't care about IE 6). I was hoping someone could help me debug it since I don't have access to a machine with IE 7 (I work on a Mac). Jquery UI Slider - Input a Value and Slider Move to Location

I was wondering if anyone has found a solution or example to actually populating the input box of a slider and having it slide to the appropriate position onBlur() .. Currently, as we all know, it just updates this value with the position you are at. So in some regards, I am trying to reverse the functionality of this amazing slider. One link I found: http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-177578.html is a bit outdated, but looks like they made an attempt. However, the links to the results do not exist. I am hoping that there may be a solution out there. I know Filament has re-engineered the slider to handle select (drop down) values, and it works flawlessly.. So the goal would be to do the same, but with an input text box. Any help would be incredible! Thanks in Advance!! Robert

I have the following code that works on PHP5 to send a HTTP POST without using cURL. I would like this to work on PHP 4.3.0 and above: $opts = array('http' => array( 'method' => 'POST', 'header' => "Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n" . "Content-Type: application/json\r\n", 'content' => $query ) ); $context = stream_context_create($opts); $result = file_get_contents($url, false, $context); HTTP context is only supported on PHP5. Is there anyway to make this work with PHP 4.3.0 - I need a fallback method if PHP5 or cURL is not installed.
