  • jquery files conflicts how to detect?

    Q:i have a general problem ,,when i wanna to do some thing and i find the jquery file which can do exactly what i wanna to do .. after a while i need another case and i find that another jquery file serve me and fix my problem .. after i add set of jquery files i find conflicts among those files and some features does not work or work in awkward manner ..and when i try to find which file exactly the source for those problems i find myself in closed circle cannot modify this file or cannot delete this file or cannot find that file itself at all ..sometimes the file like this:: <script src="http://jqueryjs.googlecode.com/files/jquery-1.3.js" type="text/javascript"></script> cannot modify it.. the problem has many faces ,, and i cannot really know how to handle the whole matter from the beginning... can any one give me instructions ,, advices,, notes, or explanation to prevent the problem from the beginning and how to fix it if it was happened..

  • PHP Multiple User Login Form - Navigation to Different Pages Based on Login Credentials

    I am trying to create a login page that will send the user to a different index.php page based on their login credentials. For example, should a user with the "IT Technician" role log in, they will be sent to "index.php", and if a user with the "Student" role log in, they will be sent to the "student/index.php" page. I can't see what's wrong with my code, but it's not working... I'm getting the "wrong login credentials" message every time I press the login button.   • PHP getting blank pages after submit a form + signal Segmentation fault (11)

    I few days ago I update my macbook pro to snow leopard, and since then some php files are not showing. This is what happens: I created a php form, when going to 'http://localhost/webform.php' I can see the form just fine. Then, once I submit the form, I just get a blank page. I enable error and warnings reporting under php.ini to make sure I'm not missing something, but still I'm not getting anything, just the blank page. Then I checked under apache log files, and what I notice is that every time I submit the form I see the following line coming up under the apache logs: [Wed Apr 07 21:40:28 2010] [notice] child pid 70223 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) I'm clueless on this one. Any ideas on how to fix it?

    Hi, what is the best practice or best way of passing form parameters from page to page in a flow? If I have a flow where a user enters data in a form and hits next and repeats this process until they get to an approval page, what ways could I approach this problem to make the retention of data as simple as possible over the flow? I guess you could put all the information as you go in the session but could you get into memory issues if a lot of people are using your app and going through the flow at the same time?

I am not looking for whole change codes because there is a problem with only One Sale rep who is having more than 2000 rows.I am looking for one or two rows changes.

    I have a very dynamic / ajax powered website which also includes iframes and due this reason I have a very bad SEO rank and it come in my mind to make one more additional version of the site (text based / no script) and serve it to the search engines based on the user agent . Please let me know if you think that is a feasible method and if it's not what else would you recommend me to do ..     If you have ever used a new release of either Chrome or Safari, you know that when you add a new tab, the default screen is a grid like setup with your most favorite links sitting there waiting to be clicked on. What makes it even nicer is the graphical interface, with actual pictures of the websites they are representing. I am looking to do something similar, how is it done?     Hi i need to pass a long list of Ids from one page to another, i was thinking of using querystring but taking in consideration that the number of ids to be passed may reach 300 i think is not a good idea. an option from my understanding may be the use of session, this seems to me an optimal solution in my case but on the other hand I can certainly clear the session when the user performs a certain action and the list of ids is not longer needed, but if the user leaves the page without performing any action i want to clear the session, how can i do it? If multiple users are using the same functionality do i need the session's items to be confused or the session is for a single user? I am working in asp.net c# Thanks

    Hey all, I'm new to using WPF. I have the following program I want to create: -Application opens up with one button -User clicks button and it takes them to a new page with various input. I'm confused about how I need to do this. I tried opening a new window, but I don't want a window to open up, I want it to be all one Window. I tried creating a new page and navigating to it using NavigationService but couldn't get it to work. Basically I want to create a workflow where the user enters some stuff, clicks the next button and is taken to a new page to enter some more information. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I'm new with MVC4 and just MVC. I have a homecontroller and a categorycontroller. The categorycontroller sends data from the model to the categoryIndex view. That's works fine. But now I want to add the categorylist on all the available controllers. I already fixed this to add in all classes return view(db.categorys.ToList()); and add categoryIndex to the shared folder. In _layout.cshtml I'm adding a@RenderPage("~/")` and this works. But when I have to pass more than only the (db.categorys.ToList()) in the return it goes wrong. How can I fixed this problem. How do I add the categorylist too every controller and page properly?

  • I read 3 pages of a JQuery book and here's my reaction and question

    My jQuery reaction to the language's flexible "selectors" is probably rooted in this experience: I once had managed a project where a developer constructed a web page that was used by users to provide very flexible search parameters for a search screen using dynamic sql string building based on the user's specified search parameter. The resulting queries were usually very complicated and involved joins to many tables. One of the options that the user had was to choose from one of 3 an options. Depending on the user's choice for this option, the resulting SQL would need to query a different set of database columns. For example, if choice option "A" were selected, the resulting database columns queried would be prefixed with "A_"; if option "B" were selected, he resulting database columns queried would be prefixed with "B_" and so on. The developer choice to write all the complete SQL assuming that the user selected, for example, option "A" and therefore first constructed SQLs of this type: SQL = "SELECT A_COL1, A_COL2, A_COL3 FROM TABLE ..." and then after constructing one of a million possible variations on the Query From Hell, did something like this: If UserOption = "B" then SQL = SQL.Replace("A_","B_") 'replace everywhere End if He insisted that this was the easiest was to code it, and while I understood that, I was concerned about maintenance of this code. You see, this worked for a while, but as the search options grew and the database columns evolved, the various "REPLACE small substring" with another small substring had unexpected consequences when applied to an evolving database and new search options. My feeling is that code should be written as much as possible such that you can add to it without fear of breaking what is already there. I feel a better approach, though a bit more work, would have been to write a function to return the appropriate target column based on a common set name and the user selected option. OK, so what does this have to do with jQuery selectors? Are the ultra flexible JQuery selectors kind of like perform a "replace all" on a SQL string? Handy as hell but potentially creating a maintenance nightmare?

    I have an asp.net page with a code-behind class definition as follows: public partial class examplepage : System.Web.UI.Page I'd like to set a public property within the page that I can reference from other classes. My understanding is that if I cast to examplepage then I should be able to get at the public property that is specific to example page, as in: string test=((examplepage)HttpContext.Current.Handler).propertyX; However, when I try casting as above the compiler does not recognise examplepage. Can anyone tell me how I can cast? I have no specific namespaces defined. Thanks
