    Hi guys: I get two frames, says A and B. Clicking a link in A will trigger page in B changing from URL_A to URL_B.   • Make joomla blog link to inner pages(or blog roll post actual)

    So i was told to create a blog for client in Joomla and, i have minimal knowledge of Joomla inner workings. I made the blog as seen here http://www.assurancepower.com/about-us/blog.html But the problem is that, the headers/titles for each story in that blog roll cant be clicked. Im wondering is there a way i can make this happen? Essentially this page is a collection of the stories and i want to be able to click on a particular one (any of them) and be taken to its inner page/full version of the story. Not exactly sure what im supposed to do/search for. Im not sure if joomla has a wordpress like functions.php or for example, is there somewhere i can instert a....maybe something like how wordpress does it with permalinks like so: <?php permalink(); ?> //title link here to the actual story. or something like <?php bloginfo('url');?>// this relative link for WP. Etc, All i want is to be able to have these titles in this story be active links to their full counterpart. Not sure what to look for/how to go about fixing this. Thanks in advanced.

    Actually I have a domain - domainone.com I have created a subdomain cname of anoter domain as abc.domaintwo.com - CNAME as - domainone.com so that I can use the js and css files e.g domainone.com/js/jquery.js files as abc.domaintwo.com/js/jquery.js SO Far everything is FINE, no issues at all. Problem: I have a custom 404 page for domainone.com and now when that abc.domaintwo.com goes 404 same page appears which i don't want. Any help is appreciated. Htaccess of domainone.com: ErrorDocument 404 /404/ All i want is to have different 404 for both..... Notes: Don't have access to shell for symlinks or alias as I am on shared hosting.

  • prevent IE Mobile from scaling web pages automatically

    I have not been able to get IE mobile to stop automatically resizing my site design. I am using three stylesheets with media queries to display the site differently on different device screens. I've included the meta tag so it shows the mobile stylesheet on IE mobile but it keeps setting the viewport at 320X480 instead of using the actual size of 480X800. How can I force it to display at the actual screen size instead of scaling for a smaller resolution?

The format is: strConn = "ODBC;Driver=SQL;Server=SQL1;Database=DB1;Uid=1;Pwd=1" I have this in 4 sheets, but there will be times when I will want to change it to call from SQL2 or SQL3, and instead of changing the code on each sheet 4 times, I want to change it only once.     Hey, I am onto a task in which i have to create a link in a doccument library either upload or new link,clicking on which a form/page "not infopath" will get open and allow to upload the doccument and along with that we have some text boxes on the same page which will be asking for the properties of the doccument(like "Customer of the doccument","content Developer") and after filling up all of the things when user click on submit than in the doccument library the value of the url as well as properties comes into the columns/fields of the doccument library. Can anyone have the solution for this?

  • Redirecting Pages with PHP causing problems

    I have a page which has a link to a php page which takes data from $_GET and updates a database. After that it returns the user to the homepage with: header("Location: http://localhost/"); The thing is that this seems to "interrupt" the mysql part of the code. If I remove this redirect, everything in the database is updated, but when I put it back, nothing gets updated...   • Cookies not working for password-protected Pages on WordPress

    Initially I had the issue reported in this question. Now, what I noticed is that there are some browsers that accept the password, and there are some which don't. Difference? For some reason the cookie is generated when I log in into the Administration module, but it isn't when I write down the password to access the page, forcing it to simply reload. I can see the cookie created for the log-in, but I can see none for the password-protected Page. These happens on Internet Explorer, both version 7 and 8; only on some machines, though, but most of them fail this. I already tried white-listing the URL, and even letting it accept ALL cookies, to no avail. What may be the cause? If perhaps it's got something to do with question above, please help me! Thanks in advance. PS: If you know of another, cookie-free method to make a simple authentication, please link me to it. Thanks. Oh, and by the way, this is inside an Intranet with static, class C IPs.

If i make site with a 7-8 different templates where 1 templates of home pages 1 is for inner content pages and other template for different type of landing pages. and different style needed for same HTML elements in website , For example : for inner pages H2 has different style but for landing pages H2 is different in color, font -size, line height, top bottom margin How i should manage all this ? any tips to make good,easily manageable, scan-able CSS.     I am using the default web server for WinCE 6 and wish to password protect certain folders. The default VROOT /remoteadmin/ is password protected, and this works but my configuration doesn't work. I have tried mimicking these settings on my own folders but to little success. Here is how one looks: In the HKLM\Comm\HTTPD\VROOTS key I have created a subkey called /web/configuration (this folder actually exists on the box). The following values are in this key A = 1 DefaultPage = config.html Path = /hard disk/webroot/web/configuration/ UserList = ADMIN This is nigh on identical to the settings in /RemoteAdmin/ but /RemoteAdmin/ requests a password and /web/configuration doesn't (even after reboot).

  • JS: Storing dynamic variables across pages?

    I've been looking into local storage options and plugins like Persist.js, sessvars.js, and even sisyphus.js - but I am unsure if any are the best fit (though I'm fairly certain I need to use one). Page one is a form with input fields for data like names, phones, and email. I have a button that replicates a wrapper div (and it's inputs) as long as more inputs are needed. When the form is filled the user hits submit which takes them to a 'confirmation' type php page. I need to the give the user an 'edit' button on page 2 that takes them back to page 1 and leaves all the info alone. For the most part everything returns fine, but if the user had hit the 'replicate' button before submission, and then hits edit afterwards, all the inputs that were dynamically generated return empty and the div no longer exists. Someone suggested that my variables are not persistent (when the replicate button is hit, input with an id="name1" becomes "name2" and so on) so that's when I found out about the plugins mentioned before. Is there a way that I can implement one of those plugins (or any other method) so that when the user returns to page one the div and it's input values remain unchanged? And if I'm on the right track are there any examples?

    so when my url looks like this: http://mywebsitehere.com/?kw=1 I am using this code below to do stuff with it: <?php if( isset($_GET['kw'] )){ //my div here } ?> It works great, and I am getting exactly what I want on the page. However, any link I click on that page will change the url structure and remove the ?kw=1 . Is there anyway to add the ?kw=1 to every link for that session? I have no clue how to do this?     I was about to redo a Rails site today using AJAX so that the background could remain in place. Then I thought, "that would be exactly like using frames," and then I thought about SEO consequences and I dropped the idea entirely and took a look around the Web. It turns out that few sites -- except for Google itself, which has the link bar at the top -- are doing this. It doesn't look impossible to do, but it's not exactly easy. Aside from Ajaxing, you have to think about updating the query-string and having SEO-friendly links (that actually don't work, but rather make background requests via Javascript). Will any of the new technologies -- HTML5, perhaps -- solve this problem and allow us to have a Web with background colors (and other static elements) that do not disappear momentarily between page refreshes? On the other hand, why are few devs doing this with current technologies? Is it just not a big deal, too complicated to implement, or....?
