    In Emacs, how does one emulate mouse button presses and the like using a keyboard? For example, with CEDET's Semantic (included with GNU Emacs 23.2.1), includes can be right clicked to provide a menu; how can I make that menu, and others, with the keyboard, appear as a tooltip or in the minibuffer a la M-` that allows one to access the menu bar?

  • Ajax "deselects" hyperlink under the mouse cursor.

    I have a page that performs an Ajax request that replaces a div every second. This div also has hyperlinks in it. If the user tries to click one of the hyperlinks, it will work, but if they move the cursor over the link, wait for a second without moving the cursor, the hyperlink no longer has the "hover" pseudostyle and if they click at the wrong time, the link doesn't work. Is there a way to update the div without causing this, or to restore the "mouse over" state of the link?

  • Make ListView.ScrollIntoView Scroll the Item into the Center of the ListView (C#)

    ListView.ScrollIntoView(object) currently finds an object in the ListView and scrolls to it. If you are positioned beneath the object you are scrolling to, it scrolls the object to the top row. If you are positioned above, it scrolls it into view at the bottom row. I'd like to have the item be scrolled right into the center of my list view if it is currently not visible. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

  • Getting rid of scroll bar for position: absolute inside of position:relative inside of overflow:auto

    Hey guys, my first question here on stack overflow. Trying to get something pretty simple to work, I'm sure I'm missing something quite obvious. Still getting used to the "standard" css, too many years working with non-functional ones! Heh. So, sample of what I'm doing: <div style="overflow: auto; border: 1px solid"> hello <div style="position: relative; z-index: 99999; top: 0px; left: 0px;"> <div style="z-index: 99999; overflow-y: hidden; position: absolute; overflow: hidden; height: 200px; left: 0; auto: 0"> <ul> <li >New</li> <li >Old</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> In essence: The first div is a container, that I would like to automatically overflow as content is added. Inside of that container, I have a popup menu, which I have simplified here. The popup menu appears (as it should) directly under "hello". My problem, however, is that instead of the popup menu "coming out" of the parent, as would be expected by the absolute position, it is actually causing a scrollbar to appear on the parent. I know that if I take otu the "position: relative" it works, but then it no longer appars where I want it (directly under the previous element). What am I missing here?   • How to find (in javascript) the current "scroll" offset in mobile safari / iphone

    I'd like to know the x/y offset of the how far the user has "scrolled" within the viewport in mobile safari on the iphone. Put another way, if I (through javascript) reloaded the current page, I'd like to find the values I'd need to pass into window.scrollTo(...) in order to reposition the document/viewport as it is currently. window.pageXOffset always reports 0 jquery's $('body').scrollTop() always reports 0 events have a pageX, but this won't account for the scrolling of the page that happens after you release your finger if your gesture was to "flick" the page up/down. Namely, it'll give me a point when the finger leaves the screen, but that doesn't always match where the page will be after it's finished scrolling. Any pointers?

  • Determine the width of the vertical scroll bar in a ScrollViewer

    I'm using a ScrollViewer to display an Image. The Image has a ScaleTransform set as one of it's LayoutTransforms. I've got it setup to fit the width of the image into the ActualSize of the ScrollViewer. My problem is that if the image height requires the vertical scrollbar to be present (I have it set to Auto) then my image is scaled just a little bit to much. I know how to determine if the scrollbar would be present and how to get the correct scale, but I cannot figure out how to determine what the actual width of the scrollbar is. I guess I could just guess at it, but I'd like something that would work if I later add styles to my application that would result in the scrollbars being a different size. Additionally I'm also doing Fit to Height and would need to get the Height of the horizontal scrollbar when it would be visible (I'm assuming that the answer to getting the width of the vertical scrollbar would make getting the height of the horizontal scrollbar obvious).

    Hi! I need to implement HorizontalScrollView which is scrolled to predefined positions (similar to Home behaviour). It works with slow gestures, but does not work with flings. I hooked to View.onScrollChanged() and it is called when scrolling happened, but I can't determine when scrolling ends. In theory there should be a way to say that fling is over. Is there such API?

    I am trying to create a MainScreen with vertical scrolling. From what I've read in the documentation, MainScreen has a VerticalManager inside, so it should be possible to enable vertical scrolling only with proper construction, i.e: super(MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLL | MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR); This is not working for me, however. I am creating a screen, adding a couple of LabelFields and no scrollbar, no scrolling at all. I am testing on 8900, OS 5.0. Here is the code I use: public class ExampleScreen extends MainScreen { public ExampleScreen() { super(MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLL | MainScreen.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR); create(); } private void add(String text) { add(new LabelField(text)); } private void create() { add("line 0"); add("line 1"); ... etc ... } } The question is am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to enable vertical scrolling with MainScreen or do I need to create a VerticalManager myself?

    Hi, I want to disable the annoying clicks that the UIPickerView generates upon scrolling up and down. Is there a way to do this? I want to play short sounds for each item that the picker view lands upon. It gets ruined by the built in sound. I understand that the picker sounds can be turned off globally by switching off the keyboard sounds in iPhone/iPod settings. But is there a way to programatically do this?     I am currently trying to get my UI to have a Title Bar, a bottom Button bar, with a ScrollView in between. I can get bits and pieces of it to work, but once I get a different piece working, the old part goes back to not showing up. Here is a picture of my UI on the left, with what I want it to look like on the right...(sorry for the sloppiness, I edited it in MS Paint :P ) To sum it up, I want the Version and Type fields to be moved with room for the other TextViews in the XML file, and I want both buttons to appear on the bottom bar.
