  I am not sure how i can have remove the IP from UCEPROTECT Level 3. Or a way in which i can send emails without them landing into spam. The IP which i have used has only sent emails to the users which they have asked for and naturally not listed for spamming. But the Service provider is. Any suggestion?, as i don't see the institution for which the setup has been made would change the ISP at this stage. Thank You

For example, I've set it to 50% and the battery is always kept at that level while on AC power. This mode prevents battery degradation and is more effective as I usually use my laptop with AC power. • Median Filter a bi-level image with JAI

  I'd like to apply a Median Filter to a bi-level image and output a bi-level image. The JAI median filter seems to output an RGB image, which I'm having trouble downconverting back to bi-level. Currently I can't even get the image back into gray color-space, my code looks like this: BufferedImage src; // contains a bi-level image ParameterBlock pb = new ParameterBlock(); pb.addSource(src); pb.add(MedianFilterDescriptor.MEDIAN_MASK_SQUARE); pb.add(3); RenderedOp result = JAI.create("MedianFilter", pb); ParameterBlock pb2 = new ParameterBlock(); pb2.addSource(result); pb2.add(new double[][]{{0.33, 0.34, 0.33, 0}}); RenderedOp grayResult = JAI.create("BandCombine", pb2); BufferedImage foo = grayResult.getAsBufferedImage(); This code hangs on the grayResult line and appears not to return. I assume that I'll eventually need to call the "Binarize" operation in JAI. Edit: Actually, the code appears to be stalling once I call getAsBufferedImage(), but returns nearly instantly when the second operation ("BandCombine") is removed. Is there a better way to keep the Median Filtering in the source color domain? If not, how do I downconvert back to binary?

• Iterating Through N Level Children

  This seems like something neat that might be "built into" jQuery but I think it's still worth asking. I have a problem where that can easily be solved by iterating through all the children of a element. I've recently discovered I need to account for the cases where I would need to do a level or two deeper than the "1 level" (just calling .children() once) I am currently doing. jQuery.each(divToLookAt.children(), function(index, element) { //do stuff } ); This is what I'm current doing. To go a second layer deep, I run another loop after doing stuff code for each element. jQuery.each(divToLookAt.children(), function(index, element) { //do stuff jQuery.each(jQuery(element).children(), function(indexLevelTwo, elementLevelTwo) { //do stuff } ); } ); If I want to go yet another level deep, I have to do this all over again. This is clearly not good. I'd love to declare a "level" variable and then have it all take care of. Anyone have any ideas for a clean efficient jQueryish solution? Thanks!

  Hello, i want to print on the screen the informations about Top level windows under Linux. I use the xlib functions. I successfully recurse from the root window to print all the informations about all the element on display. But i need only the Top-Level window. I don't find any good way to filter. From wikipedia : The top-level windows are exactly the direct subwindows of the root window. With that definition , I have some windows like: gnome-session, seahorse-daemon,notify-osd or icons, on my list and i don't want them. So it looks like the property-level validators are being evaluated first, then the model-level validators. I would much prefer if they were all validated at once, and ValidationSummary would return: The Name field is required. 'Password' and 'PasswordConfirm' do not match. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? I'm studying the MVC 2 source-code to try to determine why this happens.

• How do I do multipled level routes best in MVC

  I have a site where I would like an URL like: /Some maincategory name/{id}/Some subcategory name/{id}/Some item name/{id} I include the IDs of each level since the name is not unique. This is doable but I have to create a new routing for each level. My Html.ActionLink also looks nasty. Each level has it's own controller since the levels are completely different. The URLs could be something like this: _/Birds/2/Waders/4/Flamingos/23_ _/Mammals/5/Dogs/23/Longeared/25/Somedog/76_ _/Insects/7/Spiders_ This is just an example and not what I'm going to use. My applications has nothing to do with animals. Is there a good way of doing this or should I use the standard routing instead?

  Why ISO/ANSI didn't standardize C++ at the binary level? There are many portability issues with C++, which is only because of lack of it's standardization at the binary level. Don Box writes, (quoting from his book Essential COM, chapter COM As A Better C++) C++ and Portability Once the decision is made to distribute a C++ class as a DLL, one is faced with one of the fundamental weaknesses of C++, that is, lack of standardization at the binary level. Although the ISO/ANSI C++ Draft Working Paper attempts to codify which programs will compile and what the semantic effects of running them will be, it makes no attempt to standardize the binary runtime model of C++. The first time this problem will become evident is when a client tries to link against the FastString DLL's import library from a C++ developement environment other than the one used to build the FastString DLL. Are there more benefits Or loss of this lack of binary standardization?

I am working on the google maps integration in iphone (objective C). i am calculating zoom level dynamically so that two map points fits the iphone screen. it is good for locations very far, but i have issue that if two locations are very near to each other the zoom level then the images go blank and does not show anything other than blurred image, which i dont want. i want that if location are very near then there should be some default level zoom that should be called or fitted in, so that images wont blur.

  I'm new to ruby so forgive me if this is simple or I get some terminology wrong. I've got a bunch of unit tests (actually they're integration tests for another project, but they use ruby test/unit) and they all include from a module that sets up an instance variable for the log object. When I run the individual tests I'd like log.level to be debug, but when I run a suite I'd like log.level to be error. Is it possible to do this with the approach I'm taking, or does the code need to be restructured? Here's a small example of what I have so far. I can tweak my PHP code but I think the operation would be way simpler if I could just retrieve the rows in such an order that all parents come before their children. I could do that if I knew the level for each node: SELECT category_id, category_name, parent_id FROM category ORDER BY level -- No `level` column so far :( Can you think of a way (view, stored routine or whatever...) to calculate the node level? I guess it's okay if it's not real-time and I need to recalculate it on node modification.

• linux hardware raid 10 / lvm / virtual machine partition alignment and filesystem optimization

  I've been reading everything I can find about partition alignment and filesystem optimization (ext4 and xfs) but still don't know enough to be confident in setting up my current configuration. My remaining confusion comes from the LVM layer and if I should use raid parameters on the filesystem in guest os'es. My main questions are: When I use 'pvcreate --dataalignment' do I use the stripe-width as calculated for a filesystem on RAID (128kB for ext4 in my situation), the Stripe size of the RAID set (256kB), something else altogether, or do I not need this? When I create ext2/3/4 or xfs filesystems in guests on the Logical Volumes, should I add the settings for the underlying RAID (e.g. mkfs.ext4 -b 4096 -E stride=64,stripe-width=128)? Does anyone see any glaring errors in my set up below? I'm running some benchmarks now but haven't done enough to start comparing results. I have four drives in RAID 10 on a 3ware 9750-4i controller (more details on the settings below) giving me a 6.0TB device at /dev/sda. Here is my partition table: Model: LSI 9750-4i DISK (scsi) Disk /dev/sda: 5722024MiB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: gpt Number Start End Size File system Name Flags 1 1.00MiB 257MiB 256MiB ext4 BOOTPART boot 2 257MiB 4353MiB 4096MiB linux-swap(v1) 3 4353MiB 266497MiB 262144MiB ext4 4 266497MiB 4460801MiB 4194304MiB Partition 1 is to be the /boot partition for my xen host. Partition 4 is to be (the only) physical volume to be used by LVM (for those who are counting, I left about 1.2TB unallocated for now) For my Xen guests, I usually create a Logical Volume of the needed size and present it to the guests for them to partition as needed. I know there are other ways of handling that but this method works best for my situation. Here's the hardware of interest on my CentOS 6.3 Xen Host: 4x Seagate Barracuda 3TB ST3000DM001 Drives (sector size: 512 logical/4096 physical) 3ware 9750-4i w/BBU (sector size reported: 512 logical/512 physical) All four drives make up a RAID 10 array. • Trust my work domain on a Dev Domain without a domain level password

  I setup a virtual machine to host a dev version of TFS (to test plugins on). Getting a computer on my work domain requires large amounts of red tape and paperwork that I would rather not do. I created my own domain the the VM and I would like to trust all users from my work domain on that VM Domain. But when I tried to setup the trust I needed a password from my work domain (which I don't have). Am I trying to do something nefarious? I just want to be able to authenticate to my Test TFS (VM) Server as me (my login on my work domain). Is there a way to do that with out having to have a domain level password for my work domain? (My VM is a Windows Server 2008 R2 server)

• Win 7 Privilege Level (Run as administrator) via GP or command line

  Is there a way to set the Privilege Level for legacy software via group policy or on the command line? I have some legacy software, which we unfortunately cannot move away from. This software requires administrator access. I know I can go into the Properties dialog and check "Run this program as an administrator" on every single instance on every single one of my workstations, but that gets old after the 30th install. If I had my way, we would dump this software, find some software that did what we needed, was fully compliant with Win7 security best-practices and give everyone limited user accounts... However, I am not the boss, so everyone gets administrator accounts. Given that, I suppose I could just tell everyone to open the context menu and choose "Run as administrator", but we have some very, very, VERY low-tech users, and half of them might just choose "Delete" instead. Anyone know of a way to set this option on the command line? or better yet, through Group Policy?

  Normally i like running ie, but it's rendering speed at high-dpi is poor. More recently i've switched to Chrome, but it does not support high-dpi displays. i'm interested in trying other browsers, but they must support protected mode. • How to replace emacs keybindings with vim keybindings in OS X GUI-level text fields

  I'm fairly fluent with VIM, but find myself having to use GUI programs (in OS X) and their awkward editing modes more and more frequently for my work. I know that OS X lets you use basic emacs keybindings in most textfields (browser window/bar, etc.). I'm wondering if it's possible to switch the emacs keybindings to vim keybindings for those GUI-level input areas. I understand that it might be possible to do that key-by-key in the keyboard layout preference pane. But that approach seems limited, cumbersome, and not very elegant. I'm thinking--and I may well be wrong here--that since OS X already ships with VIM installed, there should be a way to change a preference file deep in the system that maps VIM instead of emacs keybindings to the GUI text/input areas. Does anyone know if this is a) theoretically possible, or if there's something about how OS X maps emacs keybindings to its GUI interface that would make this impossible; and b) how/where that could be done?

• Disabling at application level a nic (network interface) on Windows

  How can I disable at application level a network interface? The main question is this: If I disable the nic trough wmic (win7) or devcon (XP), the "plug and play" of a wired nic doesn't work any more. For example, if the user put the cable on a disabled nic, the OS doesn't know about it. So I need to persist the enable condition but disabling the networking like a disable nic. There's some API, network configuration (routing, changing ip, changing gateway, any), .NET Framework resource (Only NetFramework 2.0) or do you can think in any workaround to do this?
