    I have been following the Google Chrome Extensions Developer's guide and have been able so far to create an extension with a browser action without popup that would trigger a webkit notification in HTML format. Fact is that this HTML file contains action buttons, links and javascript, but none of them seems to respond. Is this a by-design behavior or is there a way for embedding javascript/links/buttons in these webkit notifications?

  • Nicer way to deploy a minified Chrome extension

    When deploying an extension I follow various steps : copy to a temporary folder all the files, copy/paste back and forth the code to the on-line minifiers / obfuscators and create the zip to be uploaded. It's obvious that this could be simplified with scripting, but my experience on Windows scripting is very limited (most of my experience is server-side). Do I have to look back to the DOS .bat files like in the 90's or is there some cool tool or method I'm not aware?

  • Help installing Zorba (XQUERY) PHP Extension on windows

    Hi, I'm trying to install zorba php extension on windows and I am having all sorts of problems. I have installed the zorba binaries on my computer, but when I try to install the PECL package (pecl install zorba-alpha) I get the following error "ERROR: the DSP zorba.dsp does not exist". I've tried searching for zorba_api.dll or zorba_api.so in order to just bypass the pecl install process, but no luck. If anyone can tell me how to get the zorba extension installed on my windows php I will be eternally grateful. Alternately, if someone knows of another xquery solution for PHP that I can install, I will be equally excited and appreciative. Thank you! Davey

  • Firefox extension: How to inject javascript into page and run it?

    I'm writing a Firefox extension to allow users to annotate any page with text and/or drawings and then save an image of the page including the annotations. Use cases would be clients reviewing web pages, adding feedback to the page, saving the image of this and emailing it back to the web developer or testers taking annotated screenshots of GUI bugs etc. I wrote the annotation/drawing functionality in javascript before developing the extension. This script adds a <canvas> element to the page to draw upon as well as a toolbar (in a <div>) that contains buttons (each <canvas> elements) for the different draw tools e.g. line, box, ellipse, text, etc. This works fine when manually included in a page. I now need a way for the extension to: Inject this script into any page including pages I don't control. This needs to occur when the user invokes the extension, which can be after the page has loaded. Once injected the init() function in this script that adds the canvas and toolbar elements etc. needs to be run somehow, but I can't determine how to call this from the extension. Note that once injected I don't need this script to interact with the extension (as the extension just takes a screenshot of the entire document (and removes the added page elements) when the user presses the save button in the extension chrome).

  • Can't connect to SSL web service with WS-Security using PHP SOAP extension - certificate, complex WSDL

    Using the PHP5 SOAP extension I have been unable to connect to a web service having an https endpoint, with client certificate and using WS-Security, although I can connect using soapUI with the exact same wsdl and client certificate, and obtain the normal response to the request. There is no HTTP authentication and no proxy is involved. The message I get is 'Could not connect to host'. Have been able to verify that I am NOT hitting the host server. (Earlier I wrongly said that I was hitting the server.) The self-signed client SSL certificate is a .pem file converted by openssl from a .p12 keystore which in turn was converted by keytool from a .jks keystore having a single entry consisting of private key and client certificate. In soapUI I did not need to supply a server private certificate, the only two files I gave it were the wdsl and pem. I did have to supply the pem and its passphrase to be able to connect. I am speculating that despite the error message my problem might actually be in the formation of the XML request rather than the SSL connection itself. The wsdl I have been given has nested complex types. The php server is on my Windows XP laptop with IIS. The code, data values and WSDL extracts are shown below. (The WSSoapClient class simply extends SoapClient, adding a WS-Security Username Token header with mustUnderstand = true and including a nonce, both of which the soapUI call had required.) Would so much appreciate any help. I'm a newbie thrown in at the deep end, and how! Have done vast amounts of Googling on this over many days, following many suggestions and have read Pro PHP by Kevin McArthur. An attempt to use classmaps in place of nested arrays also fell flat.   • uploading php files into my root folder and sending spam

    i do not understand how but someone is uploading a php file into the public_html directory of my CentOS 6 server like statisticsuQPo.php this php file gives me "linux10+cfcd208495d565ef66e7dff9f98764da" and it is sending spam mail's without end. i have remove the file maybe 10 times but i do got it back every day. how can i solve this problem? is there anything wrong with my apache configuration?

  • IIS 6 and PHP on Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit

    I am trying to get IIS 6 to serve up PHP pages. I have followed: http://www.iisadmin.co.uk/?p=4&page=3 But now with PHP 3.2 I dont see PHPisapi.dll anyplace so it doesn't work. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I downloaded the .zip for 5.3 Windows non-thread safe and manually put in at c:\PHP. I am stumped.

  • Plesk + Apache + PHP (FastCGI): Constant session permissions problems, conflicts between HTTP / HTTPS

    I've just moved a collection of sites over to a brand-new server, running Apache 2.2.3, PHP 5.3, and Plesk 10.1.1. I am having problems with file permissions on PHP sessions, which are being stored in /var/lib/php/session. I originally set the permissions like so for this folder: drwxrwx--- 2 apache psacln 8192 Mar 22 23:25 session This worked fine, for HTTP sessions. Files were being saved in that folder with these permissions: -rw------- 1 client1 psacln 0 Mar 22 23:24 sess_507... -rw------- 1 client2 psacln 0 Mar 22 23:25 sess_8o1... The problem, however, is that PHP scripts accessed via HTTPS do not seem to be run by the same client1 or client2 user. I deleted files in the session directory and accessed a login page via HTTPS to see how sessions were being saved when initiated via this protocol: -rw------- 1 apache apache 0 Mar 22 23:25 sess_507... So, for whatever reason, sessions initiated by clients browsing with HTTPS were being saved by apache:apache, while sessions from HTTP clients were saved with someclient:psacln. What I'd like to ask: How can I avoid this problem with session permissions? When sessions are created via unencrypted HTTP and a client visits an HTTPS portion of the site, permission errors are shown, since apache:apache tries to access the session save created by someclient:psacln. The converse is also true. Can I change the user which runs the Apache HTTPS server, via Plesk or the command line? If not, can I have PHP sessions save with rw-rw---- permissions, and then add apache to the psacln group? Any other suggestions on how to fix this issue?
