  • How to stop an application?

    I have an application and from this application I have to start another process by shutting down the current application and after the completion of the process again start the application. The flow is as follows, suppose I have an application app.exe, and another application another.exe, so i have to do following: 1) Start app.exe 2) Stop/shutdown app.exe and start another.exe from app.exe 3) When another.exe completes, stop/shutdown another.exe and start app.exe from another.exe Anyone please provide me some clue of how to do it ?

    I have two lists x1 and x2 of type double List<double> x1 = new List<double> { 0.0330, -0.6463}; List<double> x2 = new List<double> { -0.2718, -0.2240}; I am using the below function to convert it to double array List<List<double>> xData = new List<List<double>> { x1, x2 }; double[,] xArray = new double[xData.Count, xData[0].Count]; for (int i = 0; i < xData.Count; i++) { for (int j = 0; j < xData[0].Count; j++) { xArray[i, j] = xData[i][j]; } } Is it possible to do the same stuff (i.e. the function that is converting List to array) by using Linq.     Hello Guys, in Scala, I can make a caseclass case class Foo(x:Int) and then put it in a list like so: List(Foo(42)) Now, nothing strange here. The following is strange to me. The operator :: is a function on a list, right? With any function with 1 argument in Scala, I can call it with infix notation. An example is 1 + 2 is a function (+) on the object Int. The class Foo I just defined does not have the :: operator, so how is the following possible: Foo(40) :: List(Foo(2)) ? In scala 2.8 rc1, I get the following output from the interactive prompt: scala> case class Foo(x:Int) defined class Foo scala> Foo(40) :: List(Foo(2)) res2: List[Foo] = List(Foo(40), Foo(2)) scala> I can go on and use it, but if someone can explain it I will be glad :)

    Hi, Im new to Prolog and was looking for some assistance. What i am trying to do is basically get the some of the list of list, if that makes sense? lol What i am trying to achieve is.... sum([ [1,2],[3,4],[5,6] ]). should return: Number Of Lists: 3 List 1 3 List 2 7 List 3 11....etc I can get the Number of Lists which is fairly simple but im not quite sure how to loop through the List and then for each List add the number up. Am i making this more complicated than it actually is? lol! If anyone can help me or point me in the general direction that would be great. Thanks in advance

  • jquery animation problem using stop

    Hi! When running a Jquery animation like slideDown(), it looks like a number of element-specific css properties is set to be updated at a specific interval and when the animation is complete these properties are unset and the display property is simply set to auto or whatever. At least in firebug you can't see those temporary properties any more. The problem I've encountered is the scenario where we stop the slide down with stop(). The element is then left with the current temporary css values. Which is fine because it has to, but let us say that I stoped the slidedown because I have decided to slide it back up again a bit prematurely. It would look something like this: $(this).slideDown(2000) //The below events is not in queue but will rather start execute almost simultaneously as the above line. (dont remember the exact syntax) $(this).delay(1000).stop().slideUp(2000) The above code might not make much sense, but the point is: After 1 second of sliding down the animation is stopped and it starts to slide back up. Works like a charm. BUT!!! And here is the problem. Once it it has slid back up the elements css properties are reset to the exact values it had 1000ms into the slideDown() animation (when stop() was called). If we now try to run the following: $(this).slideDown(2000) It will slide down to the very point the prior slideDown was aborted and not further at half the speed (since it uses the same time for approximately half the height). This is because the css properties were saved as I see it. But it is not especially wished for. Of course I want it to slide all the way down this time. Due to UI interaction that is hard to predict everything might soon break. The longer animations we use increases the risk of something like this happening. Is this to be considered a bug, or am I doing something wrong? Or maybe it's just a feature that is not supported? I guess I can use a callback function to reset the css properties, but depending on the animation used, different css properties are used to render it, and covering your back would result in quite a not-so-fancy solution.

  • asp.net drop down list viewstate issue after client side Ajax update

    In my aspx page I have drop down list that initialy in page load event loads up with list of values which is shown to client(drop down list "A") and in client side, depending on client selecion of another drop down list(drop down list "B") I have written a javascript to update drop down list "A" with corresponding values with Ajax behaviour(without full page postback). But when we post page to the server, in server side page load event shows initialy sent list of values for drop down list "A" but not the values that were loaded by Ajax calls due to ViewState not being updated correctly due to Ajax call. I could fix this easily with update panel but it increased Ajax request size to 44KB which is much higher than what currently is for hand made Ajax script I have written( 0.5KB) Is there special way of fixing this rather than using update panel?

    I need to compare list_a against many others. my problem starts when there's a duplicated item in the other lists (two k's in other_b). my goal is to filter out all the lists with the same items (up to three matching items). list_a = ['j','k','a','7'] other_b = ['k', 'j', 'k', 'q'] other_c = ['k','k','9','k'] >>>filter(lambda x: not x in list_a,other_b) ['q'] I need a way that would return ['k', 'q'], because 'k' appears only once in list_a. comparing list_a and other_c with set() isn't good for my purpose since it will return only one element: k. while I need ['k','9','k'] I hope I was clear enough.     Trying to find an efficient way to obtain the top N items in a very large list, possibly containing duplicates. I first tried sorting & slicing, which works. But this seems unnnecessary. You shouldn't need to sort a very large list if you just want the top 20 members. So I wrote a recursive routine which builds the top-n list. This also works, but is very much slower than the non-recursive one! Question: Which is my second routine (elite2) so much slower than elite, and how do I make it faster ? My code is attached below. Also,I have to modify the representation of a List and alter whatever methods are necessary to make insert_back run in constant time: O(1). This new operation should have the signature: void List::insert_back( const Object& data ); Also, isIncreasing, For example, for a list containing head-() (11) (8) (15) (3), isIncreasing() should return false.     Hi, In a Java class , i am having a static list so this list is shared across all the objects of this class.The business logic in this class will run periodically which is invoked by some method with out passing instance parameters.Now I want to invoke this run method based on the list(I will add some vales into this list based on JMS) ,this list may empty sometimes and after finishing the run , i am emptying this list.Now my question is , whether I need to synchronize this list or not?     Hi, I have a list and a value and want to check if the value is not in the list. list = [u'first record', u'second record'] value = 'first record' if value not in list: do something however this is not working and I think it has something to do with the list values having a u at the start, how can I fix this?   • Stop Outgoing Spam Already Tagged as Spam

    Hi, I run a Postfix server with Amavis and Spamassassin among other things. Postfix receives mail from the outside world and passes it on to Amavis. Amavis has Spamassassin rate the mail, and then tags it as spam if necessary. Then Postfix relies on each users' procmailrcs to deal with the mail as they will. I believe this is the correct approach because I believe each user should have the ability to choose what to do with their spam. Unfortunately, we also have some users with foregin domains in our virtual alises list. Because these addresses don't have user accounts with our servers, the spam that is forwarded to them is never put through a procmailrc and we end up forwarding spam, already tagged as spam, to other servers. Is there a way to stop outgoing mail already tagged as spam? Or is there any other way to fix this? EDIT: I only wish to delete the messages that are both spam AND being forwarded to other servers. I don't want to delete all mails marked as spam. Is there a way to distinguish between the two?
