• How to debug a WCF Service with an HTTP Context?

  I need to debug a WCF service but it needs to have an HTTP Context. Currently I have a solution with a WCF service web site, when I click on debug it starts up and then fires up an html page that contains no test form. While the project is running I tried starting the wcftestclient manually, then provided the address of my service, it finds the service but when I invoke it, it bypasses the IIS layer (or development server), so the httpContext is null... What is the correct way to debug a WCF service through an IIS context?

• After rich:extendedDataTable sortby,otheractions are not getting executed

  My requirement is I have several tabs and one of the tabs uses rich:extendedDataTable. If sortby is clicked in the page where table is used and if I navigate to another page, it looks for the bean of the old page and throws an error saying that sortyBy of the column is undefined. For eg if iused sortBy on userId in tab1( where the table column must have had sortBy=#{data.userId}) and then i click on tab2 , it looks for the data.userId and thorws an error. I am using richfaces 3.2.2SR1 version. can you help me on this.

How do I make it such that when I click on the anchor tag, the event on the parent will not be triggered? I've tried using the Jquery method stopPropagation() but still no luck. Any thoughts? • AutoHotkey ControlSend problem on one machine

  I have this AutoHotkey script that has a weird problem. It is used in 3 workstations, but in one the ControlSend doesn't seem to work as the hotkey doesn't work in program A. All three machines have Windows XP and are Pentium 4 level machines with mostly same software, the script is in exe form. I've tried a lot of different ways to send the hotkey to Program A, but nothing seems to work. The idea of the script is simply to catch a hotkey and click in another window in addition to its normal function. The normal function just doesn't work. • Scroll bar not maintaining its position in ListView (ASP.net)

  Hi I have a listview inside a DIV which shows the scroll bars. At one time, let's say, 10 rows can be seen. I scroll down and click Edit on 25 row. To my surprise, the scroll goes to the first row (although if I go back to 25th row, the row is in edit mode) My issue, how I can make sure that the scroll bar maintains its position to 25th row after clicking on Edit button? • How do I write my own desktop sharing application in java ?

  Hello I want write my own desktop sharing application in Java. The application should have some very default features: Capture screen; Allow a remote connected user to click / edit fields. I was thinking to use Java Robot class for mouse movements / key pressing. The problem is i don't know what screen capture strategy to use. Should I make sequentially screen captures (on the hosting computer) every second, and send those captures with UDP via network, so that the clients can intercept the data-grams ? Isn't this a little overkill for the network ? What other strategies are available ? (Except trying an already existing app). PS: If necessary I can even write native code using JNI (still that's the last thing I planning to do).

  I am trying to create Facebook based login using Javascript. Once a person clicks a button he should get a div replaced by another div, if he is logged in to Facebook. However, if he is not logged in to Facebook he is asked his Facebook credentials and he logs in. However, we need the user to click the button once more for the div replacement to happen in this case. I want to know if there is a way in which I can catch the Facebook login event and change the div? Is polling a way or there is some other way out. I want to use only Javascript.

  I notice with ASP.NET if the server side control TextBox is used with out autopostback it will not submit (or postback) the form when typed text ends with enter, which is different from the behavior for plain old HTML pages. Fine, I can set autopostback to get the behavior I want after the enter key. However, autopostback will also cause submit (or postback) when the typed text does not end with enter but focus has changed (i.e. with tab or mouse click), which again is different from plain old HTML pages. How can I get an ASP.NET page to behave the same as a plain old HTML page with respect to text input regardless of whether enter key or change of focus occurs?

  Hi, I want to update few variables when any of the toolbar button (like bold, italic etc) is clicked. I'm unable to trap 'click' event on any of these buttons. Could somebody give me an example when clicking on 'bold' button would also pop up an alert box? How can I trap 'paste' event?   Hi, i just lunch my web site i used the asp.net routing technology on it, and its work fine in my localhost but when i moved the project to the hosting server(Godaddy.com) its just work fine when there is no virtual sub directories like this(havebreak.com) but when u click on this link (havebreak.com/Registration/) or any other links that contain a virtual sub-directories its give Object reference not set to an instance of an object error on the profile object if (!Profile.IsAnonymous) Line 18: mlvRegistratioin.ActiveViewIndex = 1; i check my IIS settings and found it using the "Integrated pipeline" as recommended (at least at my knowledge), i checked the httpModules and httpHandlers tags under the system.webServer (since my hosting plan use the IIS7) and under the normal tag and every thing is fine then i used the url-rewriting instead of URL-Routing and the same problem exist and i notice that the session also not working in the virtual sub-directories too and by the way the ASP.NET routing work fine with my site its just the profile and session objects that not workin any help will be appreciated

  Hello, I have a html page, and when I click a file link on the page, the file download dialog pops up, and this file dialog locks the page. I mean without selecting one of the choices(Open, Save, Cancel) I can't do anything on the page (which is normal). What I need is if javascript can check whether the page is locked or not. (or whether the file dialog is popped?) p.s. don't say "put an onclick event to the link", because the server may respond very slowly (like 30 seconds after clicking)

• How do you move html from one div to another with Jquery without breaking javascript

  I have two divs for different sections of my webpage, a working and a reference section. One is fixed size, the other is variable sized and they are vertically stacked. I am trying to design it so that if you want to work on something in the reference pane, you click a link and it swaps all the data between the two panes. My idea was to do the following: var working = $("#working_pane").html(); var ref = $("#reference_pane").html(); $("#working_pane").html(ref); $("#reference_pane").html(working); The problem with this, is it seems that any javascript referenced inside of these panes (for example, in place editors) get broken upon switching. No javascript errors occur, it's just that nothing happens, like the javascript ties are broken. Is there any to move the html without breaking the javascript contained?

  i have an RoR application Log, which similar to the book store app, my logs_controller has all default action: index, show, update, create, delete.. now i need to add new action :toCSV, i defined it in logs_controller, and add new route in the config/routes as: map.resources :logs, :collection = { :toCSV = :get }. from irb, i checked the routes and see the new routes added already: rs = ActionController::Routing::Routes puts rs.routes GET /logs/toCSV(.:format)? {:controller="logs", :action="toCSV"} then ran ‘rake routes’ command in shell, it returned: toCSV_logs GET /logs/toCSV(.:format) {:controller="logs", :action="toCSV"} everything seems working. finally in my views code, i added the following: link_to 'Export to CSV', toCSV_logs_path when access it in the brower 'http://localhost:3000/logs/toCSV', it complained: Couldn't find Log with ID=toCSV i checked in script/server, and saw this one: ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound (Couldn't find Log with ID=toCSV): app/controllers/logs_controller.rb:290:in `show' seems when i click that link, it direct it to the action 'show' instead of 'toCSV', thus it took 'toCSV' as an id...anyone know why would this happen? and to fix it? • Small gaps in section headers with custom headers - iPhone / Objective-C

  Hi there! Since I wanted to use the standard section header with a different font size, I just made custom section headers by using an UIImageView with the standard section header as an image. It looks fine at first, but when I scroll the table, there are small gaps below and above the section headers: Since I am not allowed to post images or more than one hyperlink yet, I will have to provide you with one link to those images: Click me! Picture: How it looks like without touching anything Picture: Dragging the table down Picture: Dragging/Scrolling the table up So as you can hopefully see, there is a small empty gap under (2nd pic) and above (3rd pic) the section header. Another thing to mention is, that the standard behaviour of non-custom section headers is, that they don't become transparent when I drag the table down (making the table offset < 0.0). Is there a way to make custom section headers mimic the same behaviour without those annoying gaps? Greetings, Zhar

• Setting Grouping in UITableView under UINavigationController

  In my UINavigationController app, my first view is a UITableView. I can't seem to find a way to set the property of this UITableView to 'grouped'. Since UITableView is dynamically generated I don't have the luxury of Interface Builder. Searched forums here and googled other places and closest I saw was to override either initWithStyle or initWithCoder as follows. (id)initWithStyle:(UITableViewStyle)style { if (self = [super initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped]) { } return self; } However this above function never gets called. when I overrided initWithCoder I could see it worked and I was able to change UITableView contents to grouped. But then title automatically became 'Root View Controller' and none of the cells were active anymore although they got grouped fine. That is while they looked active but if you click on them, those cells won't do anything. But I have seen apps which have their very first view being UITableView is grouped. So there must be a way to do it but I don't know how.

• jQuery.keypad Performance Issues

  I am working on a Kiosk Touch Screen application and using the JQuery.keypad plugin and noticing some major performance issues. If you click a number of buttons in rapid succession the CPU gets pegged, the button clicks don't keep up with the clicking and some button presses even get lost. On my dev machine this isn't as noticeable, but on the Kiosk itself with 1 gig of ram it's painful. Trying the demo keypad at http://keith-wood.name/keypad.html#inline the one with multiple targets (which is the case with mine) has the exact same issues. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might be able to improve this? The Kiosk runs in Firefox only so something specific to that would work. I'm using v1.2.1 of jquery.keypad and just upgraded to v1.4.2 of jquery.
